Willie and Diane are super hospitable and charming. Even though my daughter is a slightly picky eater I thought all the food was top notch for breakfast. The room we stayed in was perfect, beds were comfy, bathroom was clean and the location was very scenic. My kid and I got a kick out of the coyotes we heard a couple of times at night and we loved hanging out in the living room looking at old books and games. Willie was kind enough to show his 1920’s Studebaker. Unfortunately we missed the opportunity to ride in it as well. Diane was super sweet to my girl and always made sure she got her fill of hot chocolate in the morning. We’ll have to come back some day. Beats staying in an expensive hotel any day. Also, ask Willie about his spark plug collection. It’s a trip!

This was one of the best bed and breakfast stays we’ve ever experienced! We stayed in the«Country Cabin»(which used to be a chicken coop but you’d never know it) and it was perfect. It was nice to be on the property but removed from the main house, and we felt cozy and at home right away. We visited in late February but with our unseasonably warm winter it was more like June weather. At night it got cold though, and the little gas stove kept us nice and warm. The bed was really comfortable, and we even found time to use the claw footed antique tub! The location was ideal for our visit because we were able to visit Yosemite through two different entrances(the west and the south I think they’re called) and it took about an hour to get to each. We also visited Mariposa and Oakhurst, which were both about 20 minutes away in different directions and had some delicious and unique restaurant and brewery options. Breakfast was great, always including freshly made fruit salad with the good stuff(like berries and pineapples and apples instead of just melon). The coffee was also excellent, and the main dishes were delicious and provided more than enough food to fuel us up for our days of exploring Yosemite. Diana and Willy were the perfect hosts — happy to let us have our own conversations or to talk with us about whatever we were interested in — the best Yosemite hikes, the history of the ranch, where we could go buy our own bag of that delicious coffee… They let us borrow books about Yosemite, and really anything in their library was offered for us to read. To top it all off, when you go in the off season you get your third night free! And it’s already very reasonable priced compared to other places in the area, so me being a serious penny pincher this was just the icing on the cake! Thank you so much for such a great stay, Diana and Willy. Justin and I hope to find our way out of Mountain View and come back again to enjoy your lovely home and great cooking!

My husband and I, as well as our friend, recently spent a three-day weekend at the Meadow Creek Ranch B&B and had a wonderful time. We especially loved that there were only two rooms, which meant that the three of us ended up renting out the whole B&B. My husband and I stayed in the Chicken Coop, which was adorable. There were chicken items(dolls, rugs, pictures, etc.) scattered throughout the room, which was a cute touch. The bed was comfortable and Diana & Willie kindly provided many extra blankets for us since I am a huge blanket hog. The gas stove/fireplace/heater was a nice touch and really warmed up the room as well. Since the Chicken Coop is removed from the main house, it felt very private and romantic, so that suited us perfectly. The only thing to be aware of with the Chicken Coop is that the ceilings are a little low, so if you’re particularly tall, you might want to book the Garden Room instead. Our friend, who is 6’4″, stayed in the Garden Room. It was lovely as well. It had beautiful decorations and plenty of space — a little private sitting area/garden in front, and an extra half-room with a day-bed. Each morning, Diana & Willie were very friendly and attentive. They let us set what time we wanted breakfast and had it hot and ready to serve then. Each day they did a different mix of fruits to start, followed by a different hot meal. We especially loved the Welsh Cakes and the Egg Frittata. They did a nice job of engaging us and chatting about various topics, and letting us chat with each other and take our time. I think we took an hour or an hour and a half each day at the breakfast table just enjoying ourselves. We never felt rushed. They also gave us great advice about what was available in the area, how to get around, etc. We had very loose plans, so it was great to pick their brains each day for what we should do. Overall, we had just such an amazing stay. Not only were Diana & Willie extremely nice, but the rooms were great, the breakfast delicious, and the price incredibly reasonable!

You know, running a B and B is not rocket science. But this one is run by an ex Rocket Scientist and his lovely wife, just in case. We stopped in on our way back from Yosemite. We really loved our short stay with Willie and Diana at Meadow Creek Ranch. We stayed out in the Chicken Coop, or Country Cabin, as it were. We thought we heard some pecking in the morning. Is there such a thing as chicken ghosts? Dunno. The old stage coach stop has a lot of history. Cool, eclectic pieces of recycled motor part-arts are inter-dispursed around the ranch. Comfy bed. Nicely furnished. Enjoyed the books and board games left out for us to enjoy. We layed on the hammock at night and stared at the milky way through the trees. So peaceful and lovely. Breakfast was not huge, but really good! Willy’s Spanish scramble(there was an exotic name for it-but I forget) and Diana’s Welsh cakes were amazing. Most importantly, plenty of locally roasted Mariposa coffee, both at breakfast and in our cabin/coop. Highly recommend this place. We felt like old friends by time we left, and we only stayed one night. It could have used a better air conditioner. The place never really cooled down until night, when we opened the windows and door. Has a really cool porch. Would have loved to sit by the screen doored porch and take in the barnyard on the cool evening, but there was only a dinner table chair. Wish there woulda been a couple of comfy chairs there. But all in all, t’was a great place. For the price– We’ll be back.

The Meadow Creek is an amazing bed and breakfast. Rooms are fairly secluded from the main house and the grounds are expansive and gorgeous. Diana and Willy are fun, friendly and colorful – a little younger than the average B&B innkeepers. The historic inn is far enough from the city to be peaceful but close enough to Mariposa to be convenient. The rooms are great antique-filled B&B rooms NOT a suite at the Ritz-Carlton, so set expectations accordingly. I would go to Mariposa just to stay here again.
