Sauce is half the battle. Theirs is just about right. Thank goodness it isn’t sweet!!! I was in town for business and came in for lunch. I decided on baked spaghetti with meatballs by quickly looking at the menu. At the same time, G was having a sandwich delivered from Paynes. Both were satisfactory and the place looks very popular. If I could make changes, I’d say add a dollar to the price and get better meatballs, add more cheese, offer Parmesan at the table or as an addition from the kitchen, and offer a thinner pasta option. I am an angel hair girl and I bet a lot of others are too. I don’t know if this is on the menu but Rigatoni would go well as an option for this dish.

I was in Marion, OH for the annual Popcorn Festival a day early and was looking for some dinner when I discovered Payne’s Pizza. Have to say this was some of the Best Pizza I have had in a long time. I ordered a 12′ pie with pepperoni and mushrooms and that’s all I needed. I recommend Payne’s to anyone looking for some good pie in Marion, OH.

I like it! Food is decent quality, good selection, and my kiddos will eat it up, which is really all that matters most nights. Dine in, carry out and delivery are fantastic. Actually, they are one of only 3 places that deliver to the area of Marion I live in, so it’s very helpful on nights I don’t want to cook or pack up the babies to drive into town.

One of the most diverse selections in marion. Pizza, subs, lasagna! Not to mention their subs are about as long as your arm. My personal favorite is the club. Yiu definitely get your moneys worth.

Do not waste your money or calories here.
Worst pizza ever. More like a cracker with stuff on top.
Having eaten pizzas all over the country, this should not be called a pizza.
Maybe a flat crusty base with tasteless toppings.
Luckily I only ordered a few slices.
All the customers were EXTREMELY large people. They are definitely not there for the taste. More like a herd of cows.

Meal (****): I ordered the hot wings and was pleased with the flavor. For some reason they tasted buttery, though. They were not greasy nor messy, but came out piping hot from the oven.
Ambiance (***): The atmosphere is communal and family oriented. It is a great place to wind down and have a few good laughs! The noise level can vary depending on the day and time.
Service (*****): Service is usually impeccable, though unconventional: your name is shouted across the room and you are served by the staff that assemble the food. Everyone is very helpful and remember you if you are a regular.
