Courtyard Grub & Pub

The service and food were a bit slow to the table even though they weren’t that busy. We ordered burgers and fries. They have fresh cut fries and the burgers were pretty good. The toppings were fresh and I even I liked their cole slaw where I even liked it and I almost never like restaurant slaw. They have a full bar and the crowd was mixed. Nice place and there is plenty of parking on the courthouse side.

One of Marion’s hidden gems, and a rare reason to venture downtown. The burgers are huge and handmade. The draft beer is cheap and plentiful. The servers are always friendly and pleasant. The appetizers are reasonably priced, but substantial enough to share, and the exposed brickwork and hardwood bar are great dive bar décor. Even though the menu is limited (basically just burgers and sandwiches), The Courtyard is a perfect example of what a restaurant can be when a talented owner and staff are committed to doing one thing and doing it well. I’ll be back here every time I need a decent burger and a few beers in my stomach.

Met a friend in Marion for Saturday lunch and neither of us are familiar with the area so we relied on Unilocal reviews and picked Courtyard Grub & Pub. When we first pulled in, we thought Unilocal failed us because it looks like a dive from the outside, but once inside we were pleasantly surprised. The wood floors, exposed brick walls, and tin ceiling are so charming and the atmosphere is welcoming and warm.
We started with the Cheese Critter app and loved it. Our waitress was so sweet and brought it out with both the marinara it’s served with and Chipotle Ranch just because she thought we’d like it and she was right! My friend ordered the Immunity burger (grilled pineapple & teriyaki glaze) and it was so delicious. I had the Public Intoxication burger (bacon, mac & cheese, fried egg) and it was good, but needed an additional spice/​flavor to round it out in my opinion. I added some Chipotle Ranch and that definitely helped.
We enjoyed our meals, the interior décor, the friendly service, and that they allowed us to sit and visit for several hours.

Great atmosphere, fantastic food! Halfway point for us and my in-​laws! Found through Unilocal.our great food included; Reuben’s, the parole burger, crispy chicken salad and a crispy chicken wrap! We started with some amazing fried pickles and ended with a funnel cake! Everything was delish!

The girl that greeted me was super nice and I wished she could have been our server. Our server wasn’t much interested in us for whatever reason I think it’s because we were new customers, becuase she was very talkative with the regulars. We got a burger and fries. The burger was yummy with huge onion rings on it and bbq sauce and fries were hot and fresh. So if you love a good burger this is a place to try. The rest of the staff was very friendly and the menu had so many yummy looking items on it. Overall go here if its near to you and the food wont disappoint.

Love it here! Great food! Awesome environment! Family friendly! Excellent staff! Fun menu! One of Marion’s best kept secrets! Some unique items on the menu. The deep fried banana peppers & the Hot Cheese Balls are Amazing! Its all about quality here!

We have been to the courtyard over a dozen times… We loved it. It was our joint in Marion. Tonight we went in for dinner and there was a cockroach on my girl friends plate… We will never come back it’s sad! Because this place had it going on… Sad it had to happen

Ok I like this local place in Downtown Marion, Ohio. They have live music, good brews (bottle or tap), talent is good. A small town revitalize feel.
Great food with court themed names like Death Row burger, Insanity Plea burger and Swear in Sandwich to name a few. Non beef — Foreman’s Reuben, Cross Examination Chicken sandwich and Judges Fish sandwich to name a few. Menu is on their Facebook page.
I live in California I love small town places like Courtyard Grub&Pub. If you live here or near here, try it out.

My first time here as I’ve only lived in town for 3 weeks. By far one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten. The wait staff was friendly and on top of things. About the same price as McDonald’s but 100% better.

Absolutely love this place! If your hungry and in the mood for an amazing burger this is the place you want to be. Good prices, cold drinks, friendly staff and they have a patio which is awesome for summer nights out with friends especially when they have live entertainment. I’ve been a few times and I’ve never been disappointed.

Wife and I went there today on their 1^st anniversary of being open. Not sure why we never went before since we talked about it all the time. Burger was really good. Place was clean. Really love the old bar.

Tried this place for the first time– was just looking for somewhere to grab a draught and some food… Expectations were far exceeded! Family owned and operated place and the food was AWESOME. I got a chicken sandwich and my boyfriend got a burger and we both really liked our meals. Pitcher of bud was $ 5, can’t beat that! Recommend it for sure.

If you are looking for a great burger, delicious french fries and cold beer, look no further. The burgers are fantastic and they have a large variety of styles. I had the immunity burger this evening. Pineapple and bacon together on a burger. Total yummy. I have tried any of the burgers and have yet to be disappointed. Prices are good. All of the burgers are under 10 bucks and if you go during happy hour you can get out of here pretty cheaply. I highly recommend this place for a great deal.
