Tender Greens

Great food! And the service is pretty good too! I love the salads and the soups and also the choices of gluten free & organic dishes. Will definitely be going back soon!

I’ve been to a lot of TG locations but I’m sincerely impressed with this one!!! Albert deserves a raise! He’s so helpful and on top of his game!!! They also gave me a better portion of salad here! The salad is ultimately what makes it Tender Greens right? So delicious and quick to be served. The team really looks like they mesh well together :)

2 stars on the steak, 5 stars on service, 4.5 stars on the veggies, drinks and resturant. Customer service was great but the steak was salty. I found it kind of perplexing why a «healthy» resturant would use so much salt especially when they have multiple salt and pepper shakers available for use. Salt seems to be their go to on all the meats. I personally believe salt is best when used to enhance the flavor of food and not to mask it. Once salt becomes the predominant taste you’ve used to much in my opinion. They did give me their salt and pepper chicken to try but the name says it all. The albacore is also salted and well the fried chicken is obviously fried. I liked everything else, the drinks, the service, the veggies and the resturant itself. With so many others giving positive reviews on the taste of the food, perhaps today they just accidently used to much salt.

Good salad. The albacore is delicious. I wish it had one of those salad bars where you could choose a lot of options to add. But for what it is, it’s good.

They were so friendly. Personable, willing to help. Happy to be there. The busted the table immediately. Provided silverware & refill too! Spit on. I say 5+++ stars!

Completely addicted to this place. This location is my favorite (although the new one in Torrance is closer). The parking garage is an easy in and out of there. The food is to die for and I’m pretty sure I could eat here every day and never get sick of it. I’ve never had a bad meal there in the three years that I have been coming here.

Good food steak was very fresh and tasty. Love everything I ordered the orange and carrot juice is so good. Will be back!

BRING BACK THE GRILLED VEGETABLES!
I am giving TG two stars due to their lack of consideration for their vegetarian customers.
Typically I’ve loved this place for many years. Santa Monica, Culver City and Marina del Rey all locations have great service and consistent quality food.
When I think of Tender Greens I think of vegetables, lite healthy eating and food that energizes you.
Over the past nine months I have visited TG with my vegetarian daughter and have found it difficult to find HOT vegetarian meal options. They used to offer grilled vegetables that could be incorporated and a sandwich but they have discontinued that option. So while all the meat eaters are enjoying a hot plate with an array of protein options the vegetarian eater is stuck with a cold salad.
Very disappointing. I hope TG will reevaluate and offer more for their vegetarian customers.

Excellent fresh food. Prepared fresh and very healthy. They have sweets but I didn’t try them.

What a doofus I was. I never thought to come here because I thought it was just a salad bar. WOW was I wrong!
SEARED TUNA SALAD comes with potatoes, a hard-​boiled egg, salad with lots of stuff in it, crunchy bread on the side… it’s a delicious, full meal!
STEAK SALAD for a more basic dish, but still a nice cut of meat and a great butter leaf salad, not just basic lettuce.
It’s cafeteria style BUT you eat on nice plates with nice silverware, and they come around to refill your drinks and get you condiments if you forgot them. Friendly, fast, helpful staff!
$ 12 for these dishes is more than reasonable, not sure why some reviewers think this is pricey. Compared to Subway or Sizzler maybe?

What is not to like about this Tender Greens. Parking is free, the staff is super friendly, and I’ve never had any trouble finding a seat. I enjoy the option of inside or outside seating. They do not mind if you bring your dog to the patio part. I love the steak on the spinach salad I get it every time. I also love the mint lemonade!

Great food, always consistent and great value in four experiences.

Pros: Fresh, healthy food options in a bright, airy space. Friendly staff & lots of seating
Cons: Can get a bit pricey and there is always a line out the door! They work quickly though
I enjoyed the «happy vegan» salad here yesterday and it’s worth noting that it’s not a conventional salad, more like 3 grain-​based sides with hummus and lettuce. With that being said, it’s very filling and flavorful!

Had dinner here last night with my wife. I ordered the fried chicken plate and she ordered the daily special pasta. I asked to add a side of vegetable, but they only had mushrooms which was disappointing so I didn’t add it to our order.
The chicken portions were small, the salad portion was small, and overall this place seems over-​priced. It may be due to the location, but the portions do not warrant their price point.
Overall, this is a clean restaurant location with pretty friendly, helpful staff. I would come here again if we are in the area, but definitely not a place I NEED to return to.

Tender Greens is definitely one of my favorite local eateries. Every meal I’ve tried is consistently good and the staff are all so friendly.
My favorites are meals with the steak or seared albacore.

Whenever I’m in the mood for something really healthy, I go to Tender Greens. Parking for this location is pretty easy, with a garage in the strip mall. Spaces might be a little tight but you can definitely find one.
My go-​to is the Grilled Chicken Cobb and it never fails on me. The portion is enormous for a salad and I leave full every time. There is just enough dressing on the salad to where it is not swimming in dressing and not missing any either. There is a good balance and plenty of bite. I like to sprinkle on Tabasco sauce on top to add more flavor.
My only knock on Tender Greens is the hefty price. $ 11.50 for a salad is kinda steep for my liking but you get what you pay for. The portions fit the price.

Meh. If you want something REEEAAlly healthy, go here. Hafta say, the menu is really confusing. I ordered a hot plate which turned out to be sliced steak and I ordered two sides of broccolini and rainbow carrots. For some reason I thought I would also be getting a salad but that was not to be with the hot plate. So then I ordered a side salad of arugula and tomatoes.
Eh… everything was ok, very healthy. Sometimes I would rather have lots of flavor but this was ok. The arugula salad was just arugula with some tomatoes on it. Luckily I like arugula. Ate ½ of everything, tossed the rest.
It’s a pretty place with friendly people and has lots of outside tables, though you may be right in the sun at mid day.

Not much else can be said about Tender Greens. The food is good. Really good. And with very reasonable prices for fresh, quality meats and veggies, no wonder it’s always packed! Line is always out the door… is it worth it? YES. The perfectly marinated, medium-​rare steak rocks my socks. And with the always delicious mashed potatoes and butter lettuce salad for the full plate price of $ 12, I’d come here more often… my only deterrent is that dang line!
However, when I was there last night for dinner… around 7:30pm, they ran out of forks. How does a restaurant run out of forks? Isn’t that a basic? Anyway… still amazing and was just as good eating it with a plastic fork. :)
It’d be even more amazing if they offered their white chocolate oatmeal cookies with sea salt more often. They seem to never have it whenever I go nowadays!
I do like that there are bussers that are constantly clearing tables, asking if you want refills on drinks and walking around to make sure everyone is okay. Hopefully, it’s not because this location is fairly new… hope it’s a constant, since there’s such a high turnover here.
