My experience can only be summed up as a food failure of epic proportion! I cannot believe that this restaurant has ever been known for its food; bar or poker hall maybe, but NOT a full-service restaurant!

What can I say it is an odd place. We come for the ribs, some of the best you’ll ever eat. They are baby back ribs they fall off the bone they’re tender they’re delicious. I wouldn’t care if they even serve sides I come just to eat ribs! Do not come here expecting a five-star restaurant, it’s a bar, it’s a cardplaying place, and it’s good ribs. If you remember Jilly’s these are the ribs, and this is the sauce. You will see it all down here, the Decore strange, some the people are, but still good food. We look at it like an adventure with good barbecue.

This place is severely understaffed. The platters are decent and if the cook is on his game most of the menu is on point, but some nights they are severely understaffed and its pretty sad. The location is strange and off the main road. I only came here for Interstate Poker. With a staff upgrade and a few flat screens this place would be just fine.

Really bad. Ribs are grilled not«barbecued/smoked» but taste good. Brisket very dry, surprising for the amount of fat on them. Used groupon, I guess they are on there for a reason. Imput the wrong amount for the groupon discount waited to get that fixed then paid in cash. Needed change and waitress simply said your going to have to wait till my store manager comes back…10 minutes later and no word I decided to just leave. So she pocketed the incuded gratuity plus another 20% from the change never received. Lesson learned I guess… recommend just going to G.C. BBQ right down the road.

Food was mediocre at best. BBQ was soggy. Waitstaff was unfriendly, unhelpful, and practically nonexistent. Overpriced meals that taste like mush. Not family friendly since everyone has to sit in the sports bar. We had a family of four(two adults and two very young children who are well behaved in a restaurant). The server added 18% gratuity to our bill for no reason whatsoever. There were no signs posted anywhere about the«policy». I will not recommend this place nor will I EVER return.

Friends took me there for dinner and I was truly surprised. These are some of the Best ribs ever. Strange place, it looks like it might have been a bowling alley in it’s past life, but the food made up for it.

Don’t Do It!!! There should really be an option to leave«zero stars» First of all we had a waiter with the initials«C» who: brought us the wrong drink 3 times; brought our food and gave us NO silverware, then went MIA… we had to get up and go look for him to ask for silverware. After delivering the silverware he never returned to check on us or refresh our drinks, we again had to go look for him to get refills. The worst part of our first-time visit… and our last, was that we had the worst waiter in the place, whom we suspect was the manager, but when we received our check he had added an automatic 20% gratuity. First of all I am a generous tipper, because«once upon a time I was a waitress». I understand that gratuity is the gratification that the customer shows the server, because they served well. and with every courtesy that could be afforded a customer. In no way were we afforded anything remotely close to courteous service… And yet the waiter who was obviously aware of his really poor customer care skills took from us a 20% tip which he did not, in NOWAYDESERVE. This was a party of 3, which is NOT the customary number whereby an automatic gratuity is included in the bill. Of course we would have left however, it would NOT have been 20%, or 15%, but there would have been a tip with a note explaining why we would never return, nor refer that restaurant to anyone. The food was good and may have been great if some of it was not luke warm to cold, but then again the kitchen probably had to go and look for our waiter when our food was ready. This waiter had no right to such liberties, which basically say’s…” I can treat you like crap and still get tipped for the service, just because you ate here”. Don’t do it!!! Rather than cause a really ugly scene about the gratuity, we paid our check and left. Between the 3 of us, there will be 3 times the bad reviews for this less than honorable restaurant for hiring this really less than honorable waiter who name begins with a «C».

The service here was horrendous. We had to keep calling the manager over because we never saw our waitress or when we’d ask her for something, she wouldn’t return to our table. When we walked in we weren’t even greeted and it almost seemed like the restaurant was closed, though the hours posted said otherwise. The food was mediocre at best, but the poor treatment we received is what made our experience here bad.

If I could give no stars I would. I can’t even comment on the quality of the food because the only thing I was able to try was the diet coke. When we came in there was no one to greet us but there was a sign that said seat yourself. After we walked a long dark hallway we figured it out none the less. After reading other reviews I wasn’t expecting great service but wanted to give the BBQ a chance. The bartender yelled over the bar from 20 ft away and said sit anywhere you want. The waitress saw us a moment later and brought us menus and asked what we wanted to drink. She brought us our drinks right back and then said I’ll give you a moment to look over the menu. We were kind of excited by a few menu items but unfortunately the waitress never returned to our table. After 38 minutes waiting for her to come back and watching the bartender talking to one customer while 3 other waitresses walking around we decided to just leave. Maybe it is the poker gaming tables that were more important business to them but don’t stay open for the general public if you’d rather just have a private poker night.

Not terrible but definitely unexceptional. If you’re in the area and want some real bbq, go to BBQ1(you’ll pass it on the way to this joint). If you just want to order off a menu, this place is fine but again, really unexceptional when you compare it to what’s right in front of it.

Meh. The food was good and the waitress pleasant. But the bait and switch on the bill wasn’t cool. Thankfully, I checked Unilocal beforehand and wasn’t surprised but it was still disappointing. I got an amazon local deal($ 30 for $ 15). The meal was less than $ 25 but they still managed to charge me about $ 1.50, quick is probably all they could think to do in this case to get more money. I was with my daughter, and it wasn’t worth the hassle to argue it with them, but I won’t be back.

I have never been more insulted by a restaurant in my life. I feel really bad for the waitstaff, as apparently the members of management(and owner) of this location are completely unwilling to engage in any form of customer service. There was an issue with our meal we wanted to talk to a member of management about. Not only did the owner/manager refuse to see us, they sent the poor waitress back out to talk to us. I felt absolutely terrible for her, and she obviously felt completely embarrassed. This restaurant is listed all over the internet with deals and offers. However, there are well-hidden signs around the restaurant saying that they no longer accept deals from any of those websites. Apparently this has been going on for a long time, as complaints about this policy have been in reviews about Georgia Rib Company as far back as March 2013. How incredibly shady.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The management at this establishment REFUSED to come to our table when asked, repeatedly. They have a sign saying they no longer accept the Unilocal offer, and that they will only accept one coupon per table. Now we ran into some friends there, and decided to sit with them. We both happened to have groupons, but the owner refused to accept them both, despite having separate checks and orders. The servers, while friendly, weren’t very interested in taking care of guests. The good used to be great, but the quality has gone down hill over the last few months. Don’t waste your time, money, or energy.

This place made me so irate, I had to take a few days to cool off before I wrote this review so that it would be accurate and as objective as possible. My parents live in Marietta and have gone to this place for lunch with their friends before. We had some family friends visit from Chicago come in on Sunday and my parents chose Georgia Rib Company to take them for their first night. My parents don’t have the most sophisticated palette, but this was just sad. We entered into the restaurant(which I remember to be Sparkles skating rink when I was younger) and this place is HUGE. We were greeted at the door and taken into(I guess) the main dining room. We were the only people seated in this area. When I went to the bathroom, I passed another huge room where it looked like people were playing poker/some sort of card game. It was packed — so I guess this is where most of the places revenue comes from. In our party, we had a 9 year old and a 4 year old. It was around 6:30 when we arrived and the kids were in good spirits but were pretty hungry. We placed our orders fairly quickly and the waitress was perfectly nice. Fast forward to 7:30pm…and we still don’t have our food. My parents are way too polite to ever complain about food or service in a restaurant so I walked up to the bar and asked if the bartender could check on our order. His response was«I think I saw it sitting on the line a while ago… I’m not sure what’s wrong.» Literally 2 minutes later, our food was brought out. Even if he hadn’t told me the food had been sitting there, I would have known. Our food was STONECOLD. Even the 4 year old kid(which let’s be honest, they don’t have high expectations for food when they’re hungry) was complaining about how cold her hotdog was. The food was barely edible due to the temperature and the fact that it’s clearly just pre-made, frozen food. We were starving so most of us ate the food, because we weren’t going to wait another hour for more. My boyfriend asked to speak to the manager and he came out immediately. He apologized for the cold food and long wait but instead of offering us a % off or really anything, he turns to my mother and father(who were paying for everything) and said«What can I do for you to make this right?». While I’m glad that he knew something was wrong and wanted to make it right, my parents are incredibly passive at restaurants and were embarrassed to ask for anything other than 2 free desserts. I was livid. The desserts came and they were clearly pre-frozen desserts out of boxes and the only people who ate them were the kids. I thought the manager was incredibly passive and I guess he was good for the restaurant because he saved them a ton of money by giving us some free desserts instead of a % off but the whole experience left such a bad taste in my mouth, I will never, ever return here and I plan on spreading the word. Pathetic.

Decided to stop by for Sunday lunch service. I knew the restaurant would be confusing based on the Unilocal reviews but when I walked into the«main» dining room, there was no one except for a table of about 4 people. Off to search for a waitress I guess… We found a waitress and sat down, opting to order off the menu and not eat at the buffet. Signature stuffed potato with BBQed chicken — Pretty good. Baked potatoes are always oversalted and this was no exception but I thought the chicken paired pretty well with the potato. Onion rings — Pretty good. They’re more like onion slivers though, not the big round«rings» you usually think of. Half a loaf is plenty of rings for me. All beef hot dog with chili and cheese — This kind of looks like a heart attack but if you’re at a BBQ place… I don’t know what else you would expect. Hot dog seems microwaved and not grilled. The accompanying cole slaw was fine but didn’t really taste fresh, more like something you’d get at a grocery store. Beef ribs — The boyfriend commented that they were tender but about ¼th of it was burned and inedible. This was probably the best dish we ordered. Brunswick stew was«not good.» Other baked potato was good too as you can put on pretty much whatever you want on the baked potatoes. Service: The waitress was nice and accommodating but trying to maneuver around that place was kind of annoying. Sidenote: They accepted my Unilocal!deal but the waitress mentioned that they really prefer if you don’t use Unilocal deals — look on Groupon or other sites for a deal to this place. Verdict: In all you get A LOT of food(as you do at most BBQ places) but meh. It’s good for a cheap eat but the dishes seem(very) hit or miss.

This place is weird. First of all, it’s in a former skating rink. Secondly, there were a lot of strange things going on in the parking lot. Third, we couldn’t even figure out where to go to sit down and order. The first room we walked in was apparently some sort of poker tournament and we were greeted by a cocktail waitress who seemed a little tipsy herself. When she told us where to go to eat, we were surprised to see a huge, empty room(only one other family there on a Saturday night) that resembled a sports bar. Now onto the food. The chopped pork was good but the sauce was lacking. I had the Mac & cheese which was okay, and the green beans which were straight from a can. My mom said her turnip greens were good except for the stems they didn’t remove. Overall, good meat, poor sides, really weird atmosphere. My husband said it almost feels like a front for something, like they’re selling stolen furs in the back(aka Goodfellas).

I devoured their baby back ribs the other night. They were excellent. The smoked ribs are put on a charcoal grill before serving so the outer layers of meat have a seared flavor while the inner layers have a smoked(but not too strong) flavor. It comes with two sides(good sized). The sliced brisket was very tneder and flavorfull, even after the leftovers sat in our refrigerator for two days. The only downside was the the baked potato and the onion rings, though tasty, were just above room temperature. The service is on the lacksidasical side. We’ve been here at off peak hours so it hasn’t been a problem.

I remember seeing this place the last time we went to Sam’s BBQ1, and I thought, there’s another BBQ place I’d like to try sometime. Fast forward to tonight, and we decided to check out the new Whole Foods over at Merchants Walk, and wanted to try something new around there. Opened up my Unilocal app on my iPhone, read the reviews, plus from a couple of other sites, and thought it would be a good choice. First off, when you enter, there was no one there to greet us. We didn’t know where to go, so, we entered the first dining room area on the left that said«Seat Yourself Please», so we entered and went to seat ourselves when a server approached us. Apparently that was a private dining room. Ok. Didn’t know that. She led us into this giant area around a bar. One thing that hit me off the bat, I didn’t smell BBQ being smoked. You know, that smell that hits you when you pull up to a good BBQ joint. We were seated in a booth. Waited about 10 minutes for a server to come see us, she arrived, apologized, and got our drink order. After that it was a while before she came back and took our order, probably about 10 minutes. We placed our order, «famous ribs» and my wife got chicken and sliced pork. Then, we waited exactly 28 minutes before our food arrived. How do I know? I checked my Foursquare checkin after noting how long it was taking. So, let’s start with the food. My ribs? Good flavor, though definitely had seen better minutes. Tough and chewy. My wife’s chicken was decent but barely warm she said, but the sliced pork, something more akin to a pork chop than any sliced pork BBQ I’ve seen was bland. My wife’s macaroni and cheese was room temperature, I felt it myself. Toast was room temperature. Brunswick stew had a good consistency, and I liked the ingredients, but had a slight«burnt» taste I couldn’t get over. That was our food. Couple behind us had chicken that wasn’t cooked, and had to be sent back. Maybe it was just one of those nights. We then had to wait another 15 minutes after we were done for our server to get done doing silverware to get our ticket. Server saw my wife didn’t eat very little of anything, never asked anything. Someone asked us on the way out about our meal, I told him all the things above, and was simply told if I can back we could eat on the house. Problem is, I just spent $ 41 on a meal experience that was just lackluster at best.(That doesn’t mention the bartender who was annoyingly loud the whole time we were there.) Next time I’m in that area, I’ll definitely head back to Sam’s BBQ1, or heck, for that money we could have eaten at Ted’s Montana Grill!

I came here during their first month of opening a couple months back and I REALLY, REALLY hope they are and continue to do well. Unfortunately, I live too far away now to become a regular at this place, but for those in the area, YOUNEEDTOCOMEHERE. Pork. Chicken. Beef. It’s all fall off the bone, finger-licking GOOD. So tender with just the right amount of sauce. I’m in meat heaven. I also had the sweet potato fries and they were pretty standard. Portion size is HUGE. I took home an entire container of ribs/chicken/sides after I was stuffed full.
