I’ve been a Bar Method devotee for almost three years now. As a working mother of two, I plan my days around the class times and am disappointed when something comes up and I can’t make it to class. It’s my «me time» and each class leaves me feeling relaxed yet energized. I love enjoying classes with women of all ages and fitness levels and proudly took classes into my 8th month of pregnancy. The instructors go through intense training and are able to explain the«why» behind each exercise. They know each client by name and offer support and encouragement throughout class and give modifications when needed. I’ve tried other barre based workouts but Bar Method is the BEST! I’ve never felt stronger — I love it!

I’ve never been one to enjoy working out, but am at the age where it is no longer optional. I considered personal training at a gym, but felt it would not really build into anything long term. A friend invited me to Bar Method & I was interested in the whole based in physical therapy aspect of it. I started less than 2 weeks ago & can already see & feel a difference. The instructors are all great, & watch carefully to assure everyone in the class is positioned correctly to get maximum benefit without harming themselves. There are options to make it more challenging, but I also feel great along side those that are experienced as I am working hard to do the basic moves. But it’s doable, the hour flies past & I feel so much stronger already! This is an amazing way to work all muscle groups & get results… And it’s fun!

I have taken several different bar classes and I find the Bar Method to be one of the most challenging. The staff and fellow clients are very welcoming(none of the cliqueyness found at Pure Barre). The East Cobb Studio is sparkling clean.

I started taking classes at the Bar Method in May through the recommendation of friends. After my first class I became obsessed! The classes are a full body workout in just an hour. The instructors do a great job explaining each exercise and are very knowledgable about the correct positions. My strength and flexibility have improved more since I’ve been attending the Bar Method. If you are looking for an intense workout, the Bar Method is the right choice for you!

OBSESSED!!! This was not my first stop on the barre-based workout train, but once I found The Bar Method in East Cobb, my journey was over!!! Not only is the workout super intense, I leave feeling like I have maximized my efforts as the instructors are very particular about form and will come around the room and do hands on corrections to ensure you are staying in the muscle(and not hurting yourself, of course). There is not another barre studio that can even compare to The Bar Method. I noticed results almost immediately and have been amazed at how flexible I have become. But, no matter how much I come or improve, the class is a challenge every. single. time!!! A welcome challenge which fuels my day and gives me an opportunity to focus only on myself entirely for that hour of class. I absolutely love my new found«home away from home»…I am bummed the days that I cannot make it and so look forward to meeting my «Bar besties» for class. The studio is immaculate, the staff is incredibly knowledgeable(and motivating/encouraging/gorgeous/inspiring), and every class is intense and revitalizing!!! P. S. They are opening a location ITP(Buckhead) for those Atliens whose cars don’t quite make it outside of I-285!

Let me start off by saying I drive all the way from Vinings just to come to The Bar Method. It is totally worth it!(FYI — they are opening a location ITP in Lenox around the end of 2015) I discovered The Bar Method when I was living in California and when I moved to Atlanta I knew I couldn’t live without it! I attend class 4 – 5 times a week and I continue seeing amazing results! I’ve lost a considerable amount of weight and also seen very noticeable toning throughout my body. I have these awesome muscles in my arms for the first time in my life! It’s also great that you get such a killer workout at such a low impact. As a former dancer, gymnast and runner my knees, ankles and hips have been pretty shot and the low impact nature means I get to enjoy my 4 – 5 classes a week! The facilities are great and the instructors are all amazing and each put their unique spin on every class they teach. If you’re looking for a workout that will push you and transform your body, look no further! You won’t be disappointed!

Super cool. I’ve been to the bar method in L. A., DuPont Circle, and Bethesda but this may have been my favorite instantly. Maybe it’s back being in the good old peach State and having that Southern charm, but everyone was extra bubbly sweet adorable and nice! Ashley(the instructor) greeted me upon arrival, checked me in, asked about my experiences in the past as I had tried it at other locations, whether I had any current injuries and welcomed me with open arms. She still gave me a quick tour and then class begun with the usual routines(in a good way). It was fun like riding a bike to slip right back into the warm-up routine’s working those biceps and triceps and getting into those reverse push-ups. Hated it and loved it at the same time but Ashley was very encouraging. The room and the equipment were all new and fresh and colorful and motivating. I love bar method and I specially love the one in East Cobb makes me wish I was still living at home rather than just visiting my parents for the week. P. S. They made new client goodie bags that they gave to us at the end of class to welcome us to this location with some information pamphlets, perfumed bath salts and new client special rates. That’s adorable marketing right there!

I came here for just one workout while I was in Atlanta during the week of my wedding. This is such a great studio! The southern vibe definitely shines through, particularly compared to my home studio in a Chicago suburb. It’s got real hospitality! After I got over the slight differences from the studio I usually attend, I got down to the hard-as-ever workout. Just a great way to relieve some stress during those last few hectic pre-wedding days! The thing I like most about this studio, however, happened after I attended my class. In the month since, I’ve gotten emails for all kinds of fun special classes and community events. It makes me really wish I could come here for class all the time! Though I do live in Chicago, I will definitely be hitting up Bar Method East Cobb next time I’m visiting my parents. An excellent studio that stands out even among the always-excellent bar method!

This is a work out. No question but since most of the workout is using your own body as resistance you can go at your own pace and ability. Instructors really help. They are hands on and will make sure that you are using the correct form. Classes are small and intimate. Some people are in Hella shape but there are different levels of resistance you can use(hands on the ground, hands off the ground, hands up) that challenges everyone. Seems like mainly women doing this work out but I think it would really challenge men. Facility has changing rooms, free lockers, complimentary tea coffee and water. They also sell work out wear. I do recommend wearing leggings because of the stretching and small amount of bar work. No need to flash anyone! ;) Parking is super easy… just remember there is a cupcake place right next to the location. So wear your blunders as you leave.
