This is a nice unpretentious eatery with surprisingly good food. The four of us at the table ordered different items off the menu and all raved about the food.

Beautiful restaurant, great waiter, ok food. We went on a Friday night, waited about 30 minutes with no reservations. The rolls were great, the salad was good. My daughter ordered the chicken parm, it had allot of sauce on it, it was ok. I ordered the cheese pizza, same, it was ok. If I lived in the area I would go back for another try, but I don’t…

My husband and I came last Saturday night for the first time. He had the Chicken Parm and I had the tortellini. Food was outstanding, service was a little slow but worth the wait. I would recommend leaving room for dessert, the Cannoli cake was out of this world

Dinner tonight with my wife at Tavola. Another great meal. I had the cavatelli with broccoli & sausage, she had the grilled salmon. Topped it off with red velvet cake(which came with a fantastic Italian wedding cookie) and good rich coffee. Excellent food, excellent service… perfect neighborhood Italian restaurant.

First let me say– this was my third time going to this restaurant and I am still blown away! My Italian family and I wanted to find a good meeting spot for fun family dinners and we stumbled upon this restaurant through Unilocal! After reading the great reviews, we felt it was a no brainier, and we were not disappointed! The restaurant is adorable! It has so much charm from the moment you walk up to the big wooden entry way doors! From there the wonderful smells of great food take over to lead to you the very pleasant hostess who is always excited to seat you. The wait staff is knowledgeable and so helpful!(with my big Italian, loud family — we are always a handful, and they know just how to treat us and always get our orders right!) The waiters make great suggestions, but really you cannot go wrong with any of the selections! Last night I had ordered a Creator Comfort Beer — the Rye one, which was really great and I love that it is a local Athens, GA beer! For an appetizer we had the rice balls– which were out of this world! It comes with two HUGE portions with great marinara sauce to dip them in. We all fought over the last few bites. After that our waitress brought us our salads and garlic rolls. The salad is a great fresh Italian house salad with fresh chick peas, onions and tomatoes and the garlic rolls were warm and perfectly seasoned with not too much garlic. For dinner I ordered the Zuppa De Pesce– and it was out of this world! All the seafood was fresh and plentiful. I actually had to give some of the muscles and claims to my sister because I was so full but they were too good to waste! My sister ordered the Veal Parm and it was really great. It is hard to find good veal in Georgia and this is best I have found so far! We were too full from the apps, salad/rolls and dinner to order dessert, but they do have it displayed in the front and it all looked mouth watering! Next time I will make sure to save room! All around this is an amazing choice for a family dinner at a delicious restaurant at a really fair price for the portions! Cannot go wrong!

I love our neighborhood Italian place. I grew up in the boroughs of NYC and I feel at home here. This is classic Italian food from the Northeast. I love(sometimes) hearing the NE accent from the servers. On a recent visit, my husband had the Scarpiello and I always order the Zuppa de pesce. We are never disappointed. They are very courteous and the management are normally walking the floor ensuring their clients are happy. They are always busy, so the restaurant has a loyal following.

This place is excellent! My husband had the lasagna which was very good. I had the lobster ravioli which was very good. The cream sauce was light and flavorful. But the best was the cannoli which we had for desert. It tasted just like my recipe. The arrival of the food was slightly delayed but they were very attentive to us and kept apologizing. Would highly recommend!

This is a hidden gem tucked away in East Cobb. It has everything you could want in a great restaurant — ambiance, delicious cocktails & wine, hospitality to make you feel welcome, and of course — quality food. My date and I shared the calamari & fried mozzarella appetizer and they both came out quickly and were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Dinner was the chicken parm for my friend and the chicken gorgonzola for me, although I did not try her meal, she was very pleased with it. The chicken gorgonzola was creamy and not overly flavored with gorgonzola — nice balance. For dessert the tiramisu was probably one of the best I’ve ever had, and the plate was decorated elegantly. One thing I would like to mention is how genuine the hospitality was here, service was quick and my server went out of his way to explain the menu in depth and answer the million questions my friend and I had :) The owner even took the time to stop by and chat, she mentioned how the photos on the wall are actually photos of their family(the photos remind me of old school new york Italians) and all of the recipes are their family recipes. Another + is there is a FULL bar. If you want a cocktail not on the menu made a certain way, they accommodate any request. ;-) It’s really been a long time since I’ve been to a restaurant and been truly inspired by the experience the owners are trying to create, A+ to this family doing amazing things.

What an adorable little joint! Came here with the boyfriend and his parents for a quick Sunday dinner, and we were all very impressed. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was absolutely fantastic. We ate: –Chicken Parmesan(baked — not fried — but you’d never know because it was so tasty!) –Rigatoni Vodka with sausage –Chicken Saltimboca –Chicken Rollotini(my favorite thing we ate) Everything was wonderful! Fresh, hot and scrumptious. Hit the spot. Most dishes come with salad and bread. They bring a large salad for everyone to share, and it features delightfully less-common ingredients like chickpeas, beets and black olives. Yum! The bread comes drenched in butter, and you can also request it plain. Both good! Even early on a Sunday evening, they were busy — clearly relying on kitchen staff to run orders. Some of our plates were haphazardly plopped on our table, almost spilling water dishes. Not a huge deal, but something they could improve upon. When one of our entrees was late coming out, the server and manager were both incredibly sweet and apologetic. They ended up comping the dish(which eventually did make it to the table and was DELICIOUS), and we really appreciated the genuinely friendly way the staff handled the issue. Two thumbs up! This isn’t a place for your pickiest diners, but we will 100% return for date nights.

This was my third visit to this restaurant. Each time the experience was consistent. The service is prompt and friendly, the prices are reasonable, however, the quality of the food is no better than average. On the last visit I ordered one of the specials, which was baked stuffed fish. It was very much over cooked with a stuffing that was less than memorable. The sauce that was served over it was a harsh tasting lemon that was way too tart.

Cute. Great service. Food was ok. We had the eggplant which was just a slice with lots of sauce and melted cheese. Also the clam linguini which we asked if it was fresh clams and they assured us it was. What arrived was cold and 3 token clams on top of a bed of linguine with canned clams… no flavor at all. The garlic rolls and salad were the highlight. Won’t be back with so many other choices

Came today for Sunday Brunch. I walk in & Sinatra is singing. They have a brunch/lunch menu. Of course I ordered the eggplant parmigiana. They bring me a fresh house salad, hot garlic rolls, so good. The staff is nice, the owner checks on my experience. The eggplant is perfect. I will be back.

Alright I hate leaving a bad review for such a new resturant but there was really nothing good to say. The restaurant was fairly big and there were only 4 other tables with people eating. The host for some reason placed us all very close to each other. I feel that this is a family based resturant so its not a good place for a date. But sitting 4 small parties pretty much right on top of each other when you have the whole restaurant to give people a little more privacy would be nice. We sat down and our server came over and took our order for drinks which was tea and coke. The server was very nice but it took her 10 min to bring us the bread and the drinks. When we ordered our drinks we also ordered stuffed mushrooms(its our fav appetizer). The mushrooms were hard and tasteless. Im not sure why it took so long seeing the server was only serving two tables. When we get our salads my boyfriend found a hair in his salad. We told our server and she played it off like it was no big deal and that it ha happened before. She did ask my boyfriend if he wanted a new salad but that was at the time our actual dinner was coming out. So we politely declined. I personally got the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and my boyfriend got Veal Marsala. The chicken on my plate tasted like rubber, the noodles were hard and the Alfredo tasted sour. I usually eat everything on my plate but this visit I barely ate half. It was that bad. The Veal Marsala my boyfriend said was good but the mushrooms tasted like they were right out of the can. While we were eating the owner Vince came by to apologize for the hair in the salad and offered to have dinner on the house. We declined that offer as well. But I hope this hard working buisness/family man can turn this restaurant around before it goes down tithe toilet.

A welcome addition to east Cobb. We recently tried this place on a kid free date night. As its new, and I have high standards for Italian food(growing up in NJ), we tried a mix of dishes. My wife chose the chix saltimboca which was pounded thin and delish. I went with the Nona Sunday dinner, sausage, pork, meatball served over gnocchi. The meats were very good and the gnocchi was decent. Everything included a family style salad and bread, which both were quite good. Wines by the glass where reasonable and decent mix. And they also have a great kids menu, so will probably bring the mini-humans back in the near future. Service was also very good and attentive without being overbearing. The only somewhat downer was the crowd was still somewhat geriatric, which I’m sure is a leftover from ritters. But I’d recommend the place, and looking forward to returning.

Good solid italian dishes plus pizza. We had a pepperoni pizza which had a lot of cheese — the way that I like it and the pepperoni was nice and spicy. The chicken dish(marsala ?) was a good portion of tender and well spiced chicken. This is the former location of Ritters, and they haven’t changed the décor very much which means that the back room is very cozy while the front room has a lot of activity. Staff is helpful and prompt. Overall it is a good addition to the area now that Scalini’s closed.
