This BBQ is the one of the best in Cobb County. The slow cook hickory flavor of the ribs are tender and delicious, the mac n cheese is the cheesiest, the collards are just like mommas, and the peach cobbler with the buttery crust taste just like grandma. This was some good eating. :) I highly recommend Lockdown, you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent bbq, really enjoyed it. The brisket was some of the best I have had. The Brunswick stew was really good also. Super nice staff. Enjoyed the overall atmosphere. Also liked the choice in sauces.

This is a very viable option for BBQ in Cobb County! We got two platters, which each come with 2 sides. The first platter was pulled pork with Brunswick stew and onion rings, and the second platter was beef brisket with mac and cheese and baked beans. The brisket was great — tasty and moist — and there was a good mix of «wet» and«dry» brisket, meaning the fatty and lean parts of the beef. The mac and cheese was creamy but cheesy and yummy! The baked beans had just the perfect amount of sweetness. The onion rings were well fried and not oily at all. The meat servings were a good size. All in all, the meat was good and the sides were solid, too. The slice of Texas toast that comes with each platter is a great touch! You order at the counter and your food is brought out to you in about 5 – 10 minutes. I was impressed that one of the co-owners stopped by to check on us a few times. One time, he sincerely asked for feedback about the food. We discussed the different kinds of BBQ sauce and the nuances of cooking the brisket. He was friendly, and I perceived that he really wanted honest feedback in order to improve the food and experience. Inside, there are tables, small booths, and big booths that would hold 6 people. The seating area was neat, clean, and pleasing to the eye. They also do take out. Looking forward to returning and trying a sandwich plate or other types of meat!

Same location as the old Shane’s rib shack but the food is so much better! Kid friendly/affordable. My family likes the collard greens, mac and cheese, brunswick stew, mashed potatoes(yum), smoked wings, bbq plate, and the chicken strips were surprisingly good. All made in the house. *Eat Local! :)

This is our favorite BBQ place now for the area. Its way better than Shane’s was. Everything is prepared, and seasoned differently. Pork has a great flavor, and a good selection of BBQ sauce. They also have smoked turkey, and its some of the best I’ve ever tried. My husband loves the beef brisket. The sides are good, and they added new things like collard greens, and broccoli. The homemade mac n cheese is awesome! Make sure to get some peach cobbler for dessert.

This used to be a Shane’s rib shack but just changed over a month or so ago. Nice owner and the recipes aren’t Shane’s anymore so that’s a good thing. I think the staff needs to be a little more up to date on the menu and helping people out but good intent is there. Order the ¼ chicken and it was tasty, wife ordered the brisket sandwich which was good. Sides were decent, we’ll go back and hope for further development of their products.
