I was given a classic chicken pot pie as a gift when dealing with the death of my dad. This pie was just the comfort food that my family needed. The flaky crust is amazing, and the ingredients were fresh and delicious.

I don’t know what took me so long to try this place. I see it every time I’m across the street at Cool Beans, when I frequent the Sunday market and anytime I’m near the square and I’ve heard fabulous things about it. I finally dropped in when I went to pick up beans at Cool Beans to pick up a couple of pies for dinner. I got the sloppy joe and the beef stroganoff. I made both for dinner tonight for myself and my husband and intended to swap out so we could both try each of them. First off, the owner is exceedingly nice and gracious. Great customer service. Now to the pies. The sloppy joe was really good. Great flavor. It gets a little heavy after awhile so I wouldn’t be able to eat an entire one but very good. The beef stroganoff? I have a love/hate relationship here. The flavor of this one was off the chain delicious. The beef was tender, the noodles were cooked perfectly and the mushrooms were oh so yummy. The killer though was the broccoli. Here’s how I feel about broccoli — it’s like murder… NEVERACCEPTABLE! I really, really, really HATE broccoli. If I got it again, I’d have to pick through and get out all the broccoli and that might dissuade me. Same for the chicken curry… not sure I’d get it now knowing there’s broccoli in it. And the broccoli doesn’t make sense to me. Peas? Sure, but broccoli? Nah. I am looking forward to trying the BBQ and pot roast though.

If you haven’t tried these outstanding pies, get on it already. The crust is amazing and the fillings are so good! I don’t know which is my favorite yet.

Want to have a quick and easy meal? The pot pies are wonderful to take home if you’re not interested in cooking everything yourself and fast food doesn’t excite you. Several options to choose from and I haven’t had one that I didn’t like. So much better than the frozen ones you get at the grocery store.

After working on the Marietta Square for several years, I had my first pot pie– so delicious! I had the fresh(not frozen) classic chicken pie and was blown away by the taste. Paul’s homemade pie has helped me overcome my aversion to pot pies after being raised on frozen Stouffer’s. And Paul is such a friendly guy– please support small family businesses such as this.

This is might be neck and neck to the best chicken potpie I have ever had. I called my order in and the gentleman told me to come in 1 hr and it would be ready. The pie was pipping hot and ready to go as promised. To my delight it was perfectly golden brown and flaky and also honored my request for low low sodium. It is enough for two hearty portions and very delicious!!!

I tried the seafood chowder pot pie and it was amazing!!! No doubt the best pot pie that I have ever had. If you don’t like seafood, then try his jambalaya pot pies. AWESOME! !!! Can’t wait to try them all.

We spent the day in Marrietta and planned on having some takeout Chinese food when we got back to Atlanta. We saw Pete’s Pot Pies, shrugged our shoulders and said, «why not?». Best decision we’ve made on vacation. Talk about delicious!!! We are from New Jersey and so is the owner. I hope he decides to open a store in my neighborhood!

Well i guess I will be unpopular on this but I am giving them 2 stars because of several reasons. 1) There just too darn expensive and too small. $ 25 for a 10″ pie?! I have 2 teenagers and it takes me 2 pies and isn’t even enough. 2) They have very little flavor regarding the chicken pot pie. It has real ingredients if that makes it special but the flavor is super bland. Paul and staff are friendly so you get a star for that so if I’m buying the pie to support a local business or because of the staff then I’m all for it.

As a southern boy with family diner roots and as a chef-instructor, food-dude, kitchen coach, I have eaten and made alot of pot pies in my time. But now, I really have no need to make them anymore since we have Paul to make them for us. If he changed the name to Paul’s «PERFECT» Pot Pies, no one would even blink. They are that good and the option to stray from the traditional chicken and veggie makes this place even better. One stop and the whole family can be made happy with their selections. We have made this our go to when taking supper over to new parents, sick neighbors and folks needing a good homemade meal. Thank you Paul for what you and your team does for us every day. GO see Paul! Enjoy…

I like Paul — a friendly guy from Nutley, NJ – and I like his pies. If your idea of a pot pie is one of those Swanson frozen thingies that your mom gave you as a kid, boy are you in for a surprise. Paul’s pies are deeee-licious! I’ve eaten two — chicken, and Italian — and I’ve got two in my freezer: jambalaya and chicken curry. The chicken was filled with vegetables and white meat. A tad under-seasoned for my taste, but certainly good. My preference is the Italian, with a bit of zing, thanks to the sausage. The pastry topping, with Paul’s signature flower imprint, is light and buttery, reminiscent of a dessert crust. Whether you buy the pies frozen or fresh — both types need to be baked — they’re easy to prepare. No need to even defrost the frozen. I popped a fresh one in the oven on a piece of parchment paper and 40 minutes later it was ready. Same method for frozen, but obviously longer.(Instructions are provided on Paul’s business card and I believe on line.) His pot pies are so popular, Paul opened a second location in Kennesaw. Check ‘em out!

Ok, so it is with a heavy heart that I leave this review. It took me a while in deciding to complete this. As previously stated the person who assisted us was very very nice. We came home and I put the chicken pot pie in the oven. With all of the trave reviews, I couldn’t wait for it to get done. Crust: very good and flaky, nice flavor. Filling: :(… let’s put it this way. .I could not eat it. There was absolutely no flavor in it. Now they’re was ample chicken and vegetables and it was very creamy. I have the seafood still in the freezer, I can’t being myself to bake it. My first experience was just that bad on my opinion..

I ventured to Paul’s to give them a try(intro coupon). Wow — this pie is delicious. I know we will go back to put pies in the freezer and for something quick for dinner. I’m envisioning a pot pie party when the weather cools off. Gifts or meal planning for home — go!

Decided to journey over to Marietta today and found Paul’s Pies. I ordered 2 small pies. It was by far the best pot pie I have ever had. We ate one for dinner with a salad and froze the other for another night. We got the chicken, as I thought that was a safe one to try for the first time. After reading the reviews, I am going back and ordering several different flavors. The crust was soooo flaky and delicious. I will be getting some for gifts too. I used a scoutmob coupon and saved $ 8.00. The women that waited on me was very helpful and friendly.

Talk about comfort food — these pot pies are super good. They come in small or large $ 8/$ 24+ and in a variety of flavors. Family faves: BBQPORK, CURRYCHICKEN, TRADITIONALCHICKEN. Planning to try Pot Roast and Beef Stroganoff on our next visit. They make great gifts and keep well in the freezer but who can wait that long once you get it to the house??? Pop it in the oven, make a salad and dinner for your family or for friends is ready. Located in Marietta Square it isn’t a restaurant, but rather a storefront. You can just pick up a pie(or two) and go! Not sure about pot pies? Check out their booth at the Marietta Square Farmers Market on Saturdays. You can sample a few flavors and make your purchase there too. I know you’re still thinking’…“who in the world eats pot pies these days?”…I DO!!! These aren’t TV dinner pot pies from the 70’s people. These are grown up potpies that are not only delicious but aesthetically pleasing to have on your table. With a beautiful puff pastry crust on top and juicy, flavorful fillings inside you’ll be amazed and look forward to trying one of the 11 different flavors they have to offer. Check em out. Located on Mill Street across from Cool Beans coffee shop. Very friendly staff and quick service too.

I freaking love pot pie. Growing up we’d have a special night every once in a while when mom and dad would let us run down the frozen food aisle and pick out a TV dinner. It was almost always a pot pie. There was chicken, turkey… sometimes there was a cheesy broccoli, but I’ve only ever had these basic flavors… and I was perfectly content… until yesterday. I walked by Paul’s shop and stopped dead in my tracks. A whole store of pot pies. Eleven different flavors. Eleven. And not just chicken or turkey, I’m talking BBQ, Seafood Chowder, Chicken Curry… And then I saw it… Pot Roast Pot Pie. I had to have it, but we had already ordered lunch elsewhere. Nooooooo! But wait! Paul sells his pies frozen, so you can take them home and bake them. YES!!! Dinner was nothing short of glorious. That Pot Roast Pot Pie was hands down the best pot pie I’ve ever had. The pot roast was cooked perfectly, and the ratio of meat, potatoes and veggies was spot on. The carrots and peas added a subtle sweetness to the hearty meal. The crust was buttery and flaky, everything you’d ever want in a pot pie. Paul…I’m in love with your pies. Thank you.
