Confection Perfection

I ordered a custom cake in the shape of a wine bottle from Confection Perfection for my dad’s 75^th birthday. I emailed Jennifer a picture and asked if she could make it. The response was quick and in the affirmative! My jaw literally dropped when I went to pick up the cake. It was exactly like the picture. This bakery has truly earned the name Perfection! My stepmother cried when she saw the cake because it was so beautiful and unique and really made this momentous occasion even more special. All of the guests were in awe, especially the guest of honor-​my dad. To no surprise, it was difficult to cut and eat such a work of art but I’m glad we did because it tasted as amazing as it looked. I’m hoping to order another custom cake for my son’s 16^th birthday this month. I would definitely recommend Confection Perfection and will use them again… and again. Love, Love loved it!

I ordered my retirement cake from Confection Perfection this past January and let me tell you, it was beautiful. I gave the bakery and idea of what I was looking for and they impressed me with the taste and the appearance of the cake. I was so impressed that I ordered another cake for my son’s 3^rd birthday party. It was a Ninja Turtles cake and it was admired my many. At least 12 different people came up to me to inquire about where the cake from. Everyone complimented the cake and I was one proud mom. To top it all off… the cake tasted incredible. I will always order my special occasion cakes here. LeAnn was very helpful and I am very satisfied.

The cake we ordered for our wedding in May of 2015 was perfect; delicious, beautiful, and delivered on time in the North GA mountains. I would highly recommend Confection Perfection for your wedding cake needs.

I ordered a birthday cake at the last minute with LeAnn, but received service and product as if I’d made the order well in advance. She took the time to call me and discuss my needs, offered multiple options to fit my budget, and then produced an amazing cake.
The cake… YUM! I ordered a 10″ round cake in chocolate with buttercream frosting and an edible printed picture of Mickey Mouse for my 2 year old’s birthday party. The cake was HUGE! The two layers were at least an inch to and inch and a half tall. The layers were individually baked, not two halves cut from one layer. The chocolate was delicious, moist, and firm, but not too firm. The printed picture of Mickey was great, exactly as expected. The icing flavor was great, too.
I got many compliments on the cake. The compliments are owed to LeAnn and her staff. The experience was great, from start to finish. I picked up the cake during their Saturday morning window. The cake was ready and waiting. I saw at least two other customers leaving with their cakes; it was a busy day! I had to take the cake with me to Costco and SuperTarget, leaving it in the car for periods of time. The cake was solid, didn’t crack, sweat, or otherwise look anything but perfect after hours in the car and on the road with me running my party errands.
I just couldn’t be happier with my experience and will be recommending Confection Perfection to anyone looking for a custom cake.

I bought my twin’s birthday cakes from here. They were having a swim party, so I wanted cakes decorated with a kid wearing googles, snorkels etc. The cakes looked just like the picture I submitted. Everyone thought the cakes were adorable! Even the people from the party next to ours came over for a look! My boys also liked picking out a flavor for their cake– 1 picked lemon and the other chocolate chip!

Not only did they not do what I asked them to, which was written out in an email, when I got there to pick up the cake and told them it was wrong, the lady said «sometimes that happens.» NEVER again will I use this place. Overpriced, and NO level of ownership for their mistakes. Even my six year old thinks the cake looks terrible, and the three year old that the cake was for, was TOTALLY unimpressed.

I picked my wedding cake design from one of the model cakes they had in the store. They said the same person who decorated the model would be doing my cake. One tier had a lot of writing on it and this was my favorite part of the cake. The wedding cake they delivered to me did not look identical to the model like they said it would. This made a huge difference in the appearance of the cake. In addition, the cake was crooked. Not acceptable for a wedding cake. Finally, when I got home from my honeymoon and got the «1^st year anniversary» cake out of the freezer to wrap it better because they had just placed it in a cardboard box I discovered that they had given us one little slice of our wedding cake to save. I was in shock. I was extremely fortunate because my mom had realized at the wedding that the entire top tier of the cake was still left so she had the venue wrap it up for us so now we have a whole tier of our cake to treasure on our anniversary. The cake tasted good and the planning process went smoothly but all the mistakes made the wedding cake a huge disappointment of my wedding.

I’m giving this company 4 out of 5 because there was some room for improvement. The wedding cake we requested tasted delicious! The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the coloration of the fondant petals on the front of the cake. They were not were not the color purple I asked for, more of a purplish grey. We also ordered a paper airplane themed grooms cake. We even provided a picture of exactly what we wanted. Again the cake tasted devine but the design was not a 5 out of 5. I would highly recommend this cake company for your wedding and would absolutely use them again! I wish I could give them 4.75 stars.

The boutique in Marietta was very cute and easy to find. They were well prepared for our appointment, and had the paperwork and cake samples ready to go. In the moments while we waited (which was never for long), there were plenty of books of their previous works to look at. Each of the samples were delicious. I wanted alternating layers of marble and red velvet. Since the cream cheese frosting wasn’t the right type for the roses design, they worked with us and opted to use a mix of buttercream and cream cheese to make it work.
I found the company fairly flexible and very friendly. I needed an alternate time for them to deliver the cake to Midtown Atlanta so that they would come in the small window when the ballroom was flipped, and they accommodated the change with no problem. My guests loved the cake and I was so glad that there were some leftovers for us to enjoy after the honeymoon. Even though it was more than 2 weeks later, the cake was still moist!
If you are planning a wedding, choose this company for your cake! Or for any cake event!

Horrible customer service! The two stars is for the delicious flavor of the cake but when I picked up the cake there were several flaws and dents in the fondant. The edible letters looked crappy. I emailed the company and was told that the letters would have been better if they were not edible paper and fondant instead. Wasn’t even given that option. Then was told the cake looked fine before I picked it up and pretty much made me feel like it was my fault. I don’t think you are supposed to make your customers feel stupid! Thanks a lot, not recommending this place… ever!

I have to say I am very disappointed! This company did my husband’s groom’s cake. He is a HUGE Atlanta Falcons fan and wanted a very realistic looking helmet. I wanted it to be perfect for him so I took charge. He didn’t want just any Falcons helmet but a 1966 one. This helmet was very distinct and had a white, black, and gold stripe on it. I was mainly corresponding with the owner. I sent her 2 sets of photos a month apart just to confirm she understood that the cake was to be made EXACTLY like a 1966 Falcons Helmet. One of the photos was an actual photo of that years helmet and the 2^nd was a picture of a cake made to look like this helmet. Clear as day! Unfortunately we found out from a groomsman that the cake was totally wrong. I didn’t realize how wrong until a picture surfaced this week. It looked NOTHING like the ’66 helmet or photos I presented. Had no gold stripe and the bird on the one side of the helmet was facing the wrong direction. It looked silly and amateur. I contacted the owner when it came to my attention and she was very flippant about it. I wasn’t necessarily looking for anything, but just acknowledgement and some good customer service. This company was not the cheapest and we ended up paying extra delivery than we would have if we used our wedding cake vendor. I will be honest and say that the cake tasted dry and not very good (and if I’m honest it did at the tasting too) but we were willing to forgo taste for design with it being the Groom’s cake. I thought they would be very skilled in this «model» type cake baking. When I brought it to the owners attention, she looked at the photos and actually told me she did not see the gold stripe in either picture (which is so false!) and also had a very bizarre explanation as to why the bird was facing the wrong way. Didn’t make any sense and felt like a cop out. People make mistakes but it’s the way in which you handle them and own up to them that you should be evaluated. I would not recommend this vendor.

I ordered a dozen cupcakes (thanks to Half Off Depot) from Confection Perfection for a small get-​together. I wanted 6 yellow cake with vanilla frosting and 6 red velvet. When I walked in, all I noticed where the beautiful wedding cakes. They not only caught my attention, but I wanted to order one of those masterpieces just because and celebrate Friday in style. But I stuck with the cupcakes.
These little treasures were fluffy and delicious. What I found to be different was the frosting; it seemed to be glazed on then piped on using a bag creating a multiple layered affect. I was impressed. And usually I toss the frosting after a bite or 2, but I devoured this stuff. Talk about goooooddd, wow.
