We in today to pick up dinner. Big Dee was very friendly and helpful with what to order. There is a wonderful variety of both bbq and seafood. They even have frog legs! But I got oysters that were fried perfectly. The Cajun fries are also very good. Good wings, ribs & links. Even though the food is cooked to order we didn’t have to wait more than 15 mins! I’ll definitely be back.

Bbq ribs are very good but I don’t care for the sauce. Catfish was perfect. Potato salad was a little bland but the beans and cajun fries were off the chain. We will definitely be coming back!

Big Dee’s Barbeque and Seafood is one of the few places I will go to get barbecue and seafood. They use to be at March Air Force Base but they shut that down and now they are at a location in Perris, California on Perris Boulevard. They are just getting started at the new location so in the window it still says pizza time but that is where they’re located. They have the best BBQ and seafood that I have ever tasted. I normally get the catfish, red snapper, yams, shrimp, rib tips, and Cajun fries. They’re seasonings that they use are to perfection. I can’t describe how delicious their food is. Hopefully once they get situated they can branch out into San Bernardino, California; that would be amazing.

DONOTGETDIRECTIONSBYFROM Unilocal!!! You’ll end up in the middle of nowhere. Go the Exchange at March AB. I enjoyed the food, but was disappointed at the same time. The people working were very nice, but distracted from their work. Make sure you are very clear when ordering. The girl taking orders messed up my order and the people’s behind me. The ribs had great smoke flavor and came off the bone easily without falling off which is great, but there were a few too many crispy spots that you’d expect on rib tips(which I had ordered, but didn’t receive). Also, the sauce was very vinegary(more Carolina style than Texas) and hid the great smoke flavor. Get the sauce on the side. The greens were tender and tasty, but could have used more seasoning. The beans were good and I enjoyed the onion in them. Don’t be afraid of pepper. Mixed feeling on the place, but I’ll probably be back.

They open at 10, showed up around 11, ordered ribs the lady told me they didnt have ribs. Ordered chicken she said they didnt have chicken, asked what they had she said everything else. Finall ordered tri tip with mac n cheese no mac n cheese got cajun fries instead. An hour later i got my food, its alright not the best ive had but for an hour in the sun with no provided shade or seating plus the price i wont be back. There’s better bbq around.

Let me just say my snapper & sweet potato fries were on point… so because my husband needed to vent, I will include him in my review LOL My review: Snapper plate was proper! Yummy and kind of a lot… it’s family run business, so they were a lil short handed! Husband’s review: His food could have been warmer & more plentiful… he got the ribs lol… two to be exact aww bless his heart

Staff = Great. Food =Excellent. Price= Terrific. Ambiance = Rustic The staff greeted us as we passed by. My son and I each ordered the Lunch Special(One meat, one side=$ 6.99) I had the rib tips and collard greens which were both delectable. My son ordered ribs and coleslaw = very good. They brought us and others a sample of deep fried red snapper = delicious. The only reason I gave them 4-stars instead of 5 is because their bbq sauce is just ok. We added Red Rooster hot sauce and that helped. However the meat is good enough to not have to be smothered with sauce. We will go again.

Great food, you can really taste the smokiness, and the sides were super good. You get a ton of food for the price you pay! Well worth it.

This is an honest review I appreciate and I respect the fact that they are running a professional black business everyone was professional from the young man taking my order to the young man serving my food as far as the food is concerned the tri-tip was really good I give them that but the sides we’re not up to par the yams were not good and the green all they gave me was stems! and I’m not sure about the seasoning it tasted really bland I’m not sure if they are catering to the people on the base as far as not putting a lot of Cajun seasoning in the food but the Greens well actually stems were really bland and the yams weren’t good like they weren’t clean but the tri-tip was really good and tender I give them that

I decided i’d try out the fish AGAIN. As a couple of months back i ordered some red snapper and it didn’t taste anything like snapper. So, i decided i would try it out again because maybe they just had substituted the snapper for something else the last time… NOT… AGAIN I order a snapper dinner, fish looked good, the batter was great, BUT what a disappointment as i bit into my supposed red snapper it was mushy and soft, no flavor, DEFINITELYNOTREDSNAPPER. So i tell the guy this is not snapper and he says look on your box doesn’t it say snapper. I told him it may say snapper but it taste nothing like snapper. I asked for my money back and dude was mad and sat my money down instead of placing it in my hand. The older dude couldn’t even look at my hubby and I cause he knew that it wasn’t snapper. I tell anyone if you know your fish, don’t be duped by them. Two times duped, won’tbe a third.

One of a kind BBQ sauce; and it will keep you coming back for more. The candied yams were the perfect compliment to bring out the smoky flavor of the bbq sauce. Would have earned 4 stars if the portions were a bit larger making the value for money on point. Nonetheless, its worth the experience and a taste that you will remember as «one of a kind.»

Wow. Big Dee’s catered lunch for my office today. Set up the BBQ outside and served some amazing food. Tender pulled pork, chicken and tri-trip. The beans had a wonderful flavor. BBQ sauce was amazing. The staff was super friendly and professional. Awesome!

Picked up some rib tips, greens, and macaroni-and-cheese. Tastes really good. $ 10.99 per dinner and it looks like they try to fill you up. The pit was smoking as I waited for my order, and you could taste it in the meat! I’ll come back again. It IS a carry out place, not a dining place.

OK, since I’m from Texas and these guys are from Texas too and have Texas BBQ in their name, I will judge them very strictly. In short, there is nothing Texas about their BBQ. In Texas, brisket is the staple and these guys don’t have brisket. As far as their ribs, they’re pork and not beef, the sausage is chicken, on and so forth. Now, I’ve just said their food had nothing to do with Texas, but it does taste pretty good… if you just don’t look at the sign when you’re ordering. I’ve only gotten their tri-tip and it’s good… it ain’t brisket, but it’s close. Kind of like scratching your back with a wooden spoon… it gets the job done and frustrates the hell out of you at the same time.

So how did these guys w/a tent end up on Unilocal? That’s because this is some darn good BBQ in Moreno Valley. And YES, you place your order under a tent. They have smokin’ tri-tip… tender beef that was as pink as my daughter’s dress. Thank goodness I’m not color-blind… I sure love my meat to look pink inside and not overly done. Even a little bloody(medium rare) is OK with me too. The tri-tip had a slight smoky flavor, and they add just enough bbq sauce without having to drown the meat in it. The sauce was actually tasty and it did not overwhelm the smoky flavor of the meat. My tri-tip came with potato salad(it was decent). My only pet peeve was that the tri-tip sandwich came with regular sandwich bread, and that’s not the bread I had in mind. Skip the sandwich bread and order the meat by itself. Needless to say, the wonder bread fell apart in the end. My spouse ordered the breaded red snapper(after they offered him a sample). The sample they gave him was SO good, that he decided to place an order of red snapper right away. I had a nice piece of the red snapper before he devoured it. We choose a side of French fries(it turned out to be cajun fries — good). I’ve never been a true fan of red snapper until now… it was absolutely yummy w/the right batter, crispiness, flavor, etc. They offer the following: ribs, rib tips, chicken, tri tip, links, catfish, shrimp, oysters, red snapper, and wings. This place is right in front of the commissary general store which used to be a part of the once active March Air Force Base(now a reserve base), but it’s not exactly inside the base, so you won’t be shot down for trespassing or anything like that. They have a few chairs and a table if you want to eat your food there instead of having to eat in your car. Just don’t eat there on a windy day(if they’re even around) because your food might grow wings and fly away like a maxi-pad(it can get p-r-e-t-t-y windy out here). Next time we want to try the ribs and catfish. Good lunch spot if you are near the base.
