I see that most reviewers are female — Studio V is great men’s shop, too.
Over several years, I tried approximately 6 salons in Marbelhead and comfortably feel I’ve found the spot.
It’s a well designed space, open and airy with huge windows that look out to Old Town. The parking is convenient and readily available.
Tony is a gentleman and an easy person to warm up to. The staff has never failed to say ‘hello’, offer coffee or water and in some form, engage me when I arrive.
Perhaps the best thing I can say about Tony is that I always leave feeling like I couldn’t have done any better anywhere else… and I like the way I look.

I came to Studio V for a full foil. I like to go from place to place as I haven’t felt that I’ve found «The One» yet. Tony greeted me with a smile, and offering an assortment of drinks. Once in the chair, I felt that he knew exactly what I was looking for and how to do it. I already had a ton of blonde highlights in my hair, and about three inches of roots. Once the process was completed, my hair looks so natural and my dark roots, covered.
I would recommend Studio V to everybody! It’s located in downtown Marblehead, perfect for a summer day! I know I’ll definitely be coming back in 8 weeks for a touch up!

I went to Salon V yesterday for my first time. My brother and best friend have gone to
Tony for a couple years and have raved about him and the studio. Tony is hands down, absolutely, the BEST. I have never had someone more thorough. He takes the time to be a consultant. This is my place from now on! Can’t wait to go back for color.

After having a bad experience at Bliss, I tried Studio V after reading great reviews on Swampscott Patch. For the past year at Studio V, I’ve been happier than ever with the cuts and highlights from Tony. He listens to what you want and makes sure you are happy with the results. He’s very talented at shaping/​layering my long hair to fall just right and look very stylish (as opposed to some other salons where I tended to feel like I was getting «the cut» that they do there). The price is fair and the quality is top notch. No snobbery here. Just really nice people who know how to make you look good!

I moved to the area last summer and have been searching for a good place to get my hair done ever since. Every place I’ve been was too expensive and mediocre, until Leigh at Studio V. She listens but also gives her professional opinion as someone who has done hair for 25 years, which I appreciate. What I thought I wanted, and what I ended up getting based on her recommendation for cut and color, ended up different but much better. The salon itself is clean, bright, and inviting. All the hairdressers are friendly, offered to take my coat, get me a drink, etc. There is no pretentiousness and I think the prices are fair. I will definitely go back to Studio V.

Just came back from Studio V. As usual, Tony did a terrific job and gave me a new hair style. I have been coming to Tony for over twenty years and he has never let me down. Tony is the man to see, he is the best!!!
