An error was very professionally and completely rectified. I’m impressed with the way this was handled. My daughter lives across the street from the Salem shop and will definitely be using their services. I’m no longer in Mass, but this would be my go-​to salon and Laura my stylist. Thank you to everyone concerned.

Radiance Aveda is THE place to get a facial. From the moment I walked in I was greeted warmly, asked if I wanted a cup of coffee and was told that Angie would be right with me. Angie Torres is fantastic. The room was very relaxing and in addition to having a great touch Angie gave me a full and thorough report of the condition of my skin and catered the facial to my specific needs. Also included was a hand and foot massage with warm towels — such a nice added touch that really made me totally relax. Getting me to relax is not an easy thing to do! This facial was a birthday gift from a friend that has been regularly using the Aveda skin care products and was sick of listening to me whine about getting older! It was the best birthday gift I’ve received in a long time. I got the products that were recommended by Angie and have been using them for about three weeks. After the first week a coworker (a MAN) stopped me in mid sentence and asked me how I get my skin to look so young! Now THAT was the best birthday gift ever. The products are fabulous, my skin feels amazing and if you haven’t been here or to the Salem MA salon what are you waiting for?

This place really surprised me. I was visiting Salem and thought getting a facial might be nice on my vacation. I looked up the prices and it was $ 85 and no tipping. Woah, way cheaper than Boston and Cambridge (I found out later that they have $ 65 facials on Wed. and Fri. WHAT!) Kelly did my facial and she was great. She asked me questions, looked at my face, and seemed to know what she was doing. I love how Aveda facials include hot towels and massage for your hands and feet. It was really relaxing and my face looked great. I’m not sure about their hair and nail services, but I highly recommend the facials here.
The front desk staff was really sweet too, I asked if they had an iced tea that Aveda often has and they didn’t but she made me a cup! Nice. The only negative was that the previous facial was running late so I waited 15 minutes without really being told what was happening/​how long. I would have stopped next door at Rouge if I knew it would be that long.

I’ve only had great experiences at Radiance Aveda. Great cuts, free mini-​facials with shampoo, terrific makeup, great brow shaping. I’ve taken out of town friends there too, and they also had great experiences. Salon is clean and welcoming. I don’t color, so can’t speak to that, but cuts and everything else all top notch. And it’s non-​tipping, which takes a lot of the stress out. Seriously — my favorite salon.

Have been going to Radiance for 7 years and love it! As a man, I don’t really look forward to hair cuts the way many women do, but since you have to go, it might as well be as pleasant an experience as possible right? Radiance is perfect in this regards. relaxing, easy, quick. Great care, friendly staff and nice space.
My cutter has been doing my son’s hair since his first one and she was excellent with him even at his early, squirmy, stage. Now that he’s six he feels comfortable and relaxed and we schedule his and mine back to back. Highly recommended. And of course Aveda products are the best out there!

Actually, the stylist did not ask me if she could start from scratch. She didn’t have much of a consult with me at all. she only asked what my last hair stylist did. I did not make another appointment because of how rude the stylist was to me when I told her that it was nothing like I wanted it.
Also I am a single mother who just moved to Marblehead. So I have to bring my daughter with me everywhere I go. My daughter did cry at the beginning of the appointment while the stylist was putting on the bleach but then she slept through the rest of the appointment. To blame a baby for bad coloring is absurd. I went to another salon with my daughter and they did it correctly.
I did not pay for my services because the stylist messed up my hair and when I contacted the owner, she responded with a blame game. Blaming me and my child for the stylist mistake. The stylist didn’t finish the hair cut that’s why I’m not paying for anything.
I’m sure your stylist is fine with normal hair but she certainly doesn’t know anything about punk rock color. That is fine but instead of blaming my daughter She should have said, that she didn’t know what to do and sent me somewhere else.
I went to Shag in South Boston and the stylist there was awesome and knew exactly what she was doing. She also had a consult with me to talk about what it was I wanted. Your stylist just kept saying that she knew what she was doing and then didn’t.
I hope that other people get better service then I did because nobody should have to go through the absolute rudeness that the owner and her stylist put me through.

I fully recommend this salon. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is very nice (tea, mini facials). I recommend Jessica for cuts and color. I also recommend Kelly for waxing. Recently, I had my hair highlighted with a substitute stylist and was unhappy with the result. I went back to the salon to discuss my concerns and was booked for an appointment 2 – 3 days later. My concerns were fully addressed with additional highlighting (no questions asked) and I was not charged for the the changes. Cuts and color may be a little pricier than some area salons, but the service and no-​tipping policy make this salon well worth it.
