Went here around 4 pm on a Tuesday and it was OK. My husband had a flight of their beers and liked them well enough. We used the Unilocal offer to snag 50% off an appetizer(Southwest Trio) and it was rather mediocre. The chips were stale, the guacamole had tons of onions, the queso was velveeta. I’d just stick to beer next time. We didn’t order entrees after the lackluster chips and dip.

Stopped in here today because Blue Bonnet Café’s line was too long around 11:30. Pleasantly surprised at how good my burger was! We had a party of 8 and they had no problem seating us. Adults and kids enjoyed everything from chicken fried steak to chicken sandwiches and of course chicken fingers for the kids. Glad to find this place, we will be back next year when we pick the kids up from CLH.

This review is on the food not the beer or the waiter. I order the cowboy it’s a burger that sounds and looks amazing. After receiving the plate with the burger on it I cut it in half to eat it… noticing that the middle of the patty is still red from my guess not cooking it long enough. Ask the waiter to send it back and he tells me that I was getting a new patty … After getting the new patty I again cut it in half one side was cooked all the way through ate it and it was one of the best burgers I had tasted… But the other half more red in the middle than before(don’t know how that happened/happens). Been sick to many times to count with the burgers being red in The middle. So I just push the rest of the plate to the side and call it a day

Saturday night and the place was empty. I should have known not to go. Family of five and we had wings, a burger and a flatbread. All very disappointing. Just bland and lukewarm. I won’t go back. Service was okay but food was terrible.

Awesome wings, massive burgers, and a CFS that dominated me. Great beer and Steve was the best waiter. What’s not to like?

Menu selection was awesome. Beer selection was outstanding. The food was delicious. When we walked in there was no one to greet us and no one showed up for a long while. She was busy trying to get ready to shut down even though they still had 30 minutes until closing and the place was very busy! We were overall happy with our experience but it would have been nice to have felt more welcomed rather than like we were a nuisance. Again, we were overall very pleased with everything else.

Had the cowboy burger and it was delicious… Pass on the street tacos, they were very dry… Definitely missing some flavor. Great atmosphere, bartender was super friendly and their in house brewed beers are delicious! My favorite was the electric watermelon… Can’t find anything like it elsewhere.

Lets start with driving 281 and finding a microbrewery. enough said. But this microbrewery serves one of the best IPAs ever to pass from glass to wherever it goes… and I am an expert IPA taster dammit. We also had the brown ale and the pale ale brewed on premises. It was all amazing. The food is awesome. The Cuban Sandwich with cheese grits was happily consumed by Dad. The cheeseburger was similary awesome. There was enough left over to feed my big brother… who delayed ordering long enough to get fully sated by our leftovers. And they have beer to go in growlers to share with friends. If you like good beer and are within 100 miles of Marble Falls this is a «you’ll regret of you you miss it» place. Just go!

Soooooo disappointing. Whole thing was a huge snooze fest! From the décor — feels very warehouse like, tables far apart, and cracked concrete floors(the bar is a bit more inviting); the inattentive wait staff — um, another beer please, empty glasses sat for along time; the marginal food — soggy and greasy fish and chips(just gross) and an overcooked, dehydrated bison burger served with side of «sautéed» brussel sprouts… I like al dente; however, the babies were R.A.W. — come on!; and even the beer– tried a few of their Double Horn draft selections and there was nothing«wow» about them. Perhaps I’ve simply become too spoiled after making my way through many Texas Brewery Trail establishments. Bottom line: IMHO Double Horn BREWING just happens to be a «restaurant» that serves their craft beers. Won’t be returning for beer or grub. :-[

Update: This place seems to be taking advice of the reviews or maybe they are spotty but my experiences have been getting better. The flavors of the food and beer are really good, which is the highlight of the place. Some of the service still could use work. Pricing and portion size is still not good. $ 2.50 buys you about three table spoons full of coleslaw. The $ 10 salads are way too small. On the flip side, the wings are now probably my favorite I’ve ever had. Love the dry seasoning! — — — — — — — — — I’m from the Austin area and kept seeing this place driving through Marble Falls. Wife and I decided to stop in at around 4:00 on a Saturday. They were not busy, our waiter came promptly and we ordered two of their in-house brews. They were top notch. We also ordered wings and a salad that were both also pretty good. The fusion salad was great(pear, bacon, blue cheese). The wings were okay, possibly cooked too high of temp. I say this as they were very crispy on the outside, but one was bloody on the inside, as in liquid blood. Yuck. That’s not acceptable for chicken. Told the waiter nicely, he apologized. They took off 10℅ off the wings($ 1.20 lol). He asked if I’d like to sample a beer for the trouble. I was like«awesome man, sure!». Well he really meant sample! I got a taster glass with literally a sip of beer squirted in it, haha! Oh well. I was considering ordering another beer, but our check came suddenly and swiftly. .oh well again. I’d given 4 stars but between the bloody chicken wing, measly $ 1.20 off remedy and the quick check, I feel three stars is a fair score for my experience. I am just happy to report I did not get sick from that undercooked wing. I’ll go back at some point.

They got me hooked on combining pears, blue cheese, and candied pecans on any bed of salad with vinaigrette. My salad was fresh, and came out quickly. Double thumbs up!!! My husband had the burger with blue cheese, also good. Especially if your really hungry the portion is large. Fish taco with pork appetizers are a bit pricey for two tacos but if you use the Unilocal coupon they are 50% off. I didn’t think the sauce and cabbage over pork went well. The pork was good but the sauce threw off the whole taco because it was sweet like fish sauce or a coleslaw dressing. Just tasted off, but didn’t complain cuz they were ½ off. Maybe a spicy BBQ sauce or something would mix better. They do brew their own beer here, tried the firemans light ale, forgot exact name but it was good. Light and crisp. Perfect for a hot day. The service was perfect, we had the most attentive service. I think this place is in top 5 places to eat in Marble falls. The selection out there is scarce so it’s nice to see a business that really try’s to bring something unique to their customers. Overall a pleasant experience!

The food and beer is pretty good, the service needs some help. I work in marble falls on the weekend and come here on a Sunday afternoon. I have the same waiter every time and he rushes us through the meal even tho the place is honestly not that busy. This past Sunday he dropped our check off while we were still eating and my friend and I had wanted another drink, when we told him that he clearly was frustrated … A large group of motorcyclist came in and he says to them«you should have called ahead with a large group like this.» Wtf dude. It’s business and it’s your job to serve whomever comes in. Seriously?! I would love to chalk it up to a bad day but it’s the same service w this guy every time I go. I keep going bc I do like the beer and food, was planning on writing 5 star review originally but the service needs help!

Jordon, a wonderfully charming and informed bartender, helped us celebrate my father in laws 75th birthday by providing us with incredible service, tasteful suggestions, and friendly attitude. He offered samples of several different brews, all amazing. I ordered shrimp and grits and it was perfect. Jordon even had them turn the«spice» down for me after letting me know it was a spicy dish. Thanks! Great music too y’all! Foot tapping fun music while we enjoyed great brews. We sat at the bar so the PBA was on the set and I have never seen children weep after getting a signature from a bowler… good job! Anyway. If you are ever in Marble Falls and want to enjoy a cold brew, great food, and friendly service then this should be one of your stops. Ask for Jordon and(btw) they are introducing a new brew on Thursday the 18th, I’ll be bringing my growler for a refill!

Had dinner here last night and have a very mixed review. Some things quite the hit, some were a miss. First, we dined with a party of 4 — 1 beef eater, and 3 ‘nearly’ vegans(eat fish). The beef eater ordered a bacon cheeseburger and gave it an enthusiastic thumbs up. Bun was toasted and he said the mustard was spicy, just the way he liked it. The ‘nearly’ vegans ordered 2 grilled tuscan’s and the salmon. We found the salmon to be just«OK to poor» — slightly overcooked and not the best cut of fish. We found the grilled tuscan’s to be outstanding, but needing just a bit more ‘filling’ between the toast to make it 5 star. Flavor was very good. I ordered a tap IPA — and was a bit disappointed at their lack of selection and their house offerings to be ‘out’. I also tried to order the calamari as a appetizer and it was ‘out’ as well, with the waitress telling us that the menu was about to undergo a change. I kind of think the whole restaurant is ‘about to undergo a change’ — as I’ve been to many brew pubs and never seen the lack of house beer on tap. Felt a bit like we got there between an old restaurant closing and a new one that hadn’t quite opened for operations. So a bit tough to review the evening as a whole. We’ll likely try them again later in the month to see if things have settled out to the positive given how good the sandwiches were.

I was here literally 31 minutes so a quick review. I sat in the bar and sampled a lovely blonde beer. Service was friendly enough; bartender had no trouble taking care of the folks at the bar and the tables adjacent to the windows. Crabby Cado — Generous slices of fried avocado with an herbed crab salad Fish and Chips — Three well seasoned beer battered cod fillets Possibly my biggest faux pas in a dining category is stacking dishes. I received my entrée when I was not even finished with one quarter of my appetizer. One avocado quartered topped with a teeny bit of crab mixture. Yep, not even half a slice and I was staring down my getting cold by the minute entrée. I’ll return; hoping for a better experience than my first try

We just left this place. My daughter, wife and I. Firstly, the girl who sat us was unfriendly and uncaring.(Glasses and a bun.) Our Waitress was sweet though, so that was a plus. My wife ordered the sirloin and was very disappointed with it. She ordered medium and got rare. It was full of fat, a terrible cut for $ 20 damn dollars. And only came with one side, a child’s portion of mashed potatoes that were kind of bland. I ordered the beer burger, on a whim. A $ 10 burger, without fries. The waitress kindly brought me a sample of the beer cheese and I hated it. Unfortunately I didn’t see her again before she brought my burger so I couldn’t change my order. I gave the burger a try anyways. Nasty. The beer cheese was gritty and way too sweet. Just nasty. A terrible thing to put on a burger. Although, the beef itself was good, I had to smother this burger in ranch so I could eat it and not waste $ 10. Fortunately, the waitress removed the burger from our ticket. I let her know that my complaint had nothing to do with her, she was great, the food was just sub-par. This place gets two stars. One for the waitress, and one for the three The Clash songs that were played while we were there. You’re welcome. UPDATE: A few days after posting this review I received a message titled«Firstly…» saying only«Don’t.» The user that sent me the message has only review. Coincidentally, their one review is five stars for Double Horn. I suppose I offended them? Maybe an owner or die-hard fan? Maybe the careless waitress that sat us. Tsk tsk.
