We almost didn’t try this place because of the negative reviews, but I’m glad we eventually decided to give it a chance. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and service. Yes, the restaurant is often empty or close to it, especially early in the evening, but don’t let this put you off. We’ve tried the seafood specials(Redfish with a side of pasta) and several pasta entrees. Every dish has been excellent. The service is likewise excellent. Forno’s has become one of our go-to spots in Marble Falls. We highly recommend it.

I have been to this restaurant a few times and I have mixed feelings… I have to agree with most of the other reviews… pretty good food(for Marble Falls), but staffing sucks. I’m sorry… but if you have to go into the kitchen to find someone that works there, that’s unacceptable. The owner and his wife are really nice people and the staff that they hire are quality personnel that do a good job, but they obviously need more. In the most literal sense, the last three times I have been there, I walked through the front door and out the back looking for anyone to help. I could have easily helped myself to the bar in back(which, by the way, is actually really cool), but ended up finding the owner and he waited on us. Tonight was the final straw… My wife and I showed up for a beer and came though the UNLOCKED gate to the outside patio area. The bar signs were lit up, the tv was on, and the bar was stocked., with the exception of a bartender. I want to the back doors and ended up in the kitchen to find a waitress, a prick cook, and a bartender that I actually recognized. The cook was rude and with a heavy hand asked what I was doing there. I said glibly, no longer spending my money here! I turned around and walked out…, the waitress came out and apologized over and over again. she was really nice… said she could serve us inside… not what we were looking for. Nonetheless, she was the single bright spot in this finale of visiting this establishment. Hire more people!!!

We had an amazing meal here tonight. We were greeted when we arrived and allowed to choose our table. The waiter came immediately and asked if we cared for something from the bar. We both had a delicious margarita. I’m picky about my margarita so when I say it was good believe me. We chose the house tequila so nothing fancy or expensive made it good. Our drinks arrived quickly and the older waiter who was knowledgeable and enjoyable to talk with told us of the house specials. We both chose the 12 oz ribeye with vegetables and fettuccine And a house salad to share. Yummy hot Italian homemade rolls arrived with our salad. The salad was just a house with in house Italian vinegarette. The lettuce was cold and crisp. Not the usual bag salad. The cucumbers were crisp and the tomatoes were firm. The dressing was light and delicious. We both swiped the bowl when we were finished with the rolls. Our entrée came quickly after we finished our salad. The steak melted in our mouths;the flavor was awesome. They hand cut their beef and it is not listed on the menu. It was mentioned on the website as part of their menu. So glad I saw this because it was worth the price. $ 33.00. The steak came with squash, zucchini, broccoli and carrots that were flavorful and crisp. Not«warmed up raw». Seasoning was perfect. The fettuccine which when questioned the waiter said was not house made but none the less delicious with a light fettuccine sauce very good. I couldn’t eat everything even though I tried, but my husband cleaned his plate. I read some of the negative reviews and don’t understand why. Our experience was the complete opposite and we will definitely return to try other dishes.

Fornos is a great place to eat, relax and enjoy yourself. My wife and I had dinner there 2 days ago. We felt relaxed right away. Their staff is friendly and helpful. We thought it was a burger joint but we were pleased with their menu selections. The food was very good. It was very tasty and reasonably priced. They have a full bar and wine by the bottle or glass. The house wine was great. We have already made plans to come back to this excellent restaurant.

This was our first time at Forno’s. We arrived at quarter past five on a Saturday evening. Place was empty. We thought it was closed. However, we found a lady to show us to a table. Nice atmosphere. Older waiter came over which was unexpected. Most places in town have young kids as wait staff. Meal was unexpectedly good and served with good timing. Prices were good at about $ 15 each. Only downside was $ 6.5 for a glass of house wine, which I felt was a bit expensive. A few other tables were occupied by the time we left, so we were the early birds. We can recommend it and will keep it in mind for next dinner out.

I tried this for dinner tonight and can say that the service was great. The kitchen let me down though. I started with fried mushrooms for a appetizer. These came out with a hard breading that was quite spicy. I then had a Cesar salad that was ok but tasted like it had been made well ahead of time and sat. My main dish was veal marsalia. Again it was OK but just a hint of the marsalia wine and very little taste.

Updated review. Tried this place again recently. Arrived at the restaurant at 7pm and there was nobody in the restaurant ! No servers… no customers. I walked around and finally heard some noise in the very back of the place. A young lady came out and asked if she could help! I asked her if they were open and she said they were but a birthday party was in progress in the back. She said we could sit anywhere and she would find us a waiter. 15 minutes later she came back and advised us that she couldn’t find our waiter!!! We left… Don’t waist your time here.

$ 30 breakfast steak and some not so good pasta. Wife could not eat her chicken. This place is not what we expected. Asked to speak with the manager and was told no. Knocked of 10%, thanks for nothing. This place was recommended to us and what a disappointment.

We went after not going since their opening(a couple years ago) At our first dining experience, they obviously were not ready… waiters untrained, etc. Food is slightly above average and the service is still suspect. They certainly had enough waiters/waitress, but it was almost a comedy watching them transverse from table to table… our waitress was simply not good(that is a polite opinion)…never heard so many apologies to tables because no one ever came up to them after arriving… left to sit there for some time before being acknowledged. Our food, as I said, was okay… basic Italian. The atmosphere is good… older building with some history… why they can’t get it right with service, I can’t understand… having to ask for water refills and being ignored, no coordination(apparently) between kitchen and waiters, etc… Better choices in Marble Falls for Italian.

Love this place. I live in Austin and have a weekender on LBJ. We come here several times a month and have brought friends. Everything has been outstanding. Plus the music has been very entertaining. From Austin to Marble Falls, this is our favorite place to go.

Well, I can say this… The pasta is not made in house. The sausage is either a purveyor bought item or frozen then thawed. The sauce is not made with San marzano tomatoes. Cream sauces went out in the late 80’s-90’s. It would not kill them to hire some actual talented kitchen staff. I know a couple of guys in the area that could turn this place around food wise. This is not Italian food. This tastes like Greeks trying to do something they aren’t comfortable with. Stick to your roots. The Italian cooking of yesteryear is a dying breed. Please revamp your menu… especially when there are two other places that are more palatable and actually taste better. I wish them the best of luck but live music won’t pay your bills. Good service and a great menu with fresh and NEW ideas will. 15 years of restaurant work back my opinion.

Went back there again for lunch. They have some new staff. Service was faster. Food was awesome. The waiter described a chocolate cake and all my wife could say was let me have a moment

We try to make it to Forno’s whenever we’re in the area! The fresh hot bread with perfectly softened butter is so good while we enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail to start. We & our friends have never had anything that wasn’t amazing. Every sauce is perfection. Lots of choices from steak to chicken, fish, or veal. The specials are always sure winners. Big TVs in the Bar & usually live music on the patio on Friday & Saturday nights.

We were looking for a new place in Marble Falls after just moving here the past few months. We took our son there before he went back to school. We thought the food was very good, especially the hot bread and Chicken Jerusalem. The service was exceptional, and we were able to sit in the bar area and watch one of the Holiday bowl games. The atmosphere was rustic uptown and we can’t wait to try out the outdoor area when it gets a little warmer.

Hub and I went on a Sat afternoon in Oct. Chose it because of screens with UT game on in bar. Waitress overwhelmed and inexperienced. After really really long wait the food was awful. The lettuce in my sea food salad was floating in water(guess they never heard of a salad spinner) Hub’s parmesan chicken breast was clearly previously breaded and frozen and microwaved(it was soggy) & have had better pasta sauce from a jar of Ragu’. Vegetable undercooked(hard not crisp tender), but the pasta was perfect al dente & the bread was good(gotta give em that). Place has a good look and atmosphere — will probably give it one more try if for no other reason than it has a very nice dine-in bar. But way better Italian food at Francesco’s.

We had an okay experience. The service was fine, and the food was generally pretty good. We got two appetizers, a mussels platter and the fried cheese. I don’t eat seafood, but my husband said the mussels were delicious. The fried cheese was not. Some of them were completely inedible due to the hard, discolored cheese inside the coating, and the ones that were edible were not very good. When they came out they were barely warm, so maybe the problem was that the waiter let them sit for too long before bringing them out to us. Whatever the problem was, don’t waste your money on this appetizer. The entrees were pretty good. I got the chicken ravioli and my husband got the veal piccata, but I thought the prices were too high for the food quality and portions. I probably won’t go back to Fornos, because Bella Sera has slightly lower prices for much better food and bigger portions.

You have to come check this place out! Great atmosphere, food, and prices. Perfect for date night, or a nice place to take friends and family. Try the tilapia or the chicken jereuselum. Also the homemade bread is to die for.

Nice atmosphere, excellent food and even has a patio with live music sometimes. Gets busy at night and a great place for a romantic dinner or a group. My favorite dish there was the Pasta Alforno, the Alfredo sauce is as genuine as it gets.
