Great place to eat. Had the special half sandwich and bowl of soup and one special was enough for both my husband and I. Had the turkey Ruben and chicken and dumplings soup. Delicious! Décor was neat with a pretty kitchen/deli decorated Christmas tree. Cookies are wonderful too.

I ate here 3 weeks ago based on the reviews and after my less than stellar experience there, thought about leaving a bad review but I don’t like doing that, so I didn’t. But today, back in Marble Falls, my 5 year old son and I were looking for somewhere to eat and he said«I do not want to go back to the place we went last time, the lady seemed mad». So it wasn’t just me that felt the rudeness of this place… First of all we arrived at 10:55(after my son had extensive dental work and he had not eaten anything since 6pm the night before) and the sign still said closed. I walked up and looked in and saw two women working but the door was locked so I walked back to my car. I got in and I was looking up somewhere else to go and a blonde woman(Darci, I’m assuming) opened the door in a huff, looking annoyed. She didn’t wave me to come in or apologize that the door wasn’t open at 10:30am like they advertise on the door. We were hungry so we went in. We were not greeted, not welcomed, not even looked at for about 3 min. We picked a table and I went to order food. I had a few questions about the menu, which I got short, dry answers to. Wanting to take something home for my daughter I decided to get her a sandwich and me a soup and salad. The blonde woman said rudely«you do realize that’s a lot of food– the sandwiches are big» I said«yes I’m taking it home»(eye roll) The food was ok– nothing too wonderful. The bread is freshly baked but is extremely thick and dense. I went to pay and she didn’t ask how the food was or really say anything except«$ 21.50». The guy changing out the Cokes on the soda machine had obviously had eaten there many times because she smiled at him and asked if he wanted his«usual». Working in the restaurant business for 10 years I understand that you can’t be «on» everyday and it’s human to have bad days but apparently this is a reoccurring theme at Darcis deli. I will not be returning but hey if you like being treated like your an annoyance try Darcis deli! Just don’t go before 11:00.

Five stars for the sandwich. Huge slabs of homemade bread and I had the chicken salad. So why 4 stars? Because the owner treated us like the out-of-towners we are. Didn’t crack a smile, wasn’t particularly friendly. I chalked it up to a bad day until I saw her reaction to people she knew — people from around«these parts». Be nice to everybody, Darci. It’s the right thing to do.

My first time to try, and I really regret waiting so long. Fast friendly service, very clean and absolutely amazing food. I had the club on pumpernickel, I’m already looking forward to my next visit and trying something different.

This little deli has the best sandwiches! They have thick homemade bread and lots of meat and veggie options. I recommend the roast beef or turkey. Chicken soup is also a winner!

While visiting the Horseshoe Bay Resort, I happened upon Darci’s based in the rave reviews. And people, you were not wrong. I had a turkey sandwich on her home made fresh wheat bread and there ARENOWORDS other than NOMNOMNOM. Do yourself a favor and try Darci’s and support small #Texas business

Great homemade soups and bread! I loved the chicken and dumpling soup. The peanut butter cookie is more like peanut butter fudge– highly recommend it all!

I love this place. I used to work on Main St. And this was one of the place at is would go to regularly. Super fresh bread, I always get the rueben. It’s delicious and always is just right. I highly recommend the place to anyone visiting or if you have just heard about it. I love all the local restaurants and I’m sad that they are always overshadowed by a certain one that out-of-towners always seem to pick over the delicious smaller business’ on main. I always always recommend here to anyone that ask.

Great if you want fresh bread & baked goods. Tuna salad was bitter, but greens in salad bar were very fresh. Service was pretty quick, & it was clear who the regulars were. Those with food sensitivity or allergies will be very limited.

I go to Darci’s about once or twice a month. Yes, I agree the food is good. The bread is really fresh and the salad bar is good. The chicken salad is yummy. My only suggestion is that the ladies working there could be a little more friendly. The brunette lady needs to make eye contact, greet the customer, and ask them for their order(with a smile would be nice). She basically grunts something– making me wonder if she is talking to me or talking to herself. The other lady(Darci) is a little nicer — but, if you didn’t know better, you would just think she was a minimum wage employee that didn’t really care about the place. The deli would have a whole different ambiance — if those two ladies were more welcoming and friendly. I would probably go way more often!!!

Darci’s Deli is right off Main street in the older part of Marble Falls. The ambiance is definitely one of a deli with the black and white motif, accented by fresh yellow lilies on each checkered table. They have a large list of sandwiches and a good lunch special, $ 7.50 for a half sandwich and soup. I decided on the BLT because it came with avocado standard(score!) and got it on their white bread toasted. I did not expect that the bread was made in house, and was just figuring it’d be like any old BLT. I bought a drink and was impressed that they iced tea was fair trade. Got my soup and impressed that it was homemade, with homemade bread crostinis instead of crackers. Oh man, they were good! The chicken and dumplings was better than any I’d ever had, though I still left a dumpling in the bowl, never understood the appeal of raw dough in soup. After scarfing down my soup, I started on the sandwich, which was also served with a handful of potato chips and a pickle spear. The«half» sandwich was still about the size of a whole sandwich, the bread was divine, the bacon, cooked just right, mayo everywhere, lettuce, tomato. It takes a special kind of place to elevate a pretty standard lunch to «as good as it gets» proportions, but I think they nailed it at Darci’s. I am even considering getting a B’nB out here one weekend and coming back. Yes, it’s that good. It is also nice to get out of the city for brief periods and see how other people live. As the other reviewer of this place, Kevin R. says, skip the Sonic and Subway and visit Darci’s, you’ll be glad you did.

One of only a seemingly few places in Marble Falls that isn’t a chain! Made to order sandwiches and a friendly staff are but a few of the attributes of this off the beaten path Deli. I had a wonderful Turkey and avocado on some homemade bread that was delicious. Skip the Sonic and Subway and stop in… you’ll be glad you did!

I really enjoy sandwiches — possibly my favorite food — so I had to try out Darci’s. Let me start off by saying the food was good. The salad bar was fresh and the sandwich itself was wonderful, especially the bread. However, I was very disappointed in the lack of options. There are no low-calorie or low-fat dressings in the store, period. This includes both condiments for the sandwiches and the dressings on the salad bar — all that’s offered are the full-fat versions. I understand this is a smaller place, so they may not be able to afford to put out a plethora of dressings every day, but I think it’s fair to ask that one low-calorie option be offered. Other than the limitations of their offerings, I enjoyed Darci’s. It’s a little on the pricey side, but that’s to be expected from a non-chain deli.
