Bella Vista Bed & Breakfast

This was our first bed and breakfast experience… the hostess and the place was beyond our expectations if you want solitude, beauty, and a really nice place to stay… this is it!

My wife and I are new to Texas, and had heard some great things about the Hill Country. So, we decided to take a little road trip. It’s about a 3.5 hour drive out of Dallas, with some quaint little towns worth exploring on the way down. We arrived at the gate and were immediately greeted co-​owner Andy and Bella (one of the three dogs runnin’ around this beautiful, 35-​acre property on the Colorado River).
The owners are very friendly! Outgoing and hospitable, but also respecting our privacy in ways noticed. We stayed in the «Wildflower Room,» with a comfortable bed, a claw-​foot tub, and a nice little patio over looking the river. And you can walk across the lawn, down to the cement boat landing, and hop in the river. Beautiful.
Breakfast was wonderful, complete with waffles topped with peaches picked on the property. Andy and Mary were generous with suggestions for local places to try (go check out the Flat Creek tasting room at Enoteca, and eat dinner on the river at River City Grille).
We’ll look forward to going here again! Great find for a quiet, relaxing weekend.

This is the place to stay when needing a «Hill Country» get away. The Hosts are fantastic !!! The place is beautiul and relaxing. Comfy and well appointed. So much to do in the area or do nothing sitting on the patio enjoying the view. The Beds are great but the Breakfast spread is the star here. Hot, delicious and memorable. You will not leave hungry, but you will be planning your next visit back !!!

My mother, my husband and I stayed here in November for a nearby wedding. We were in the Cowboy Cottage, and it was a fabulous stay all the way around. The Cottage is spacious, clean, cozy and cute. The beds were comfortable, and the view lovely. We opted for full breakfast both days. The food was delicious, and it was delivered promptly each morning. Our hosts were friendly and ready with great suggestions on local restaurants. We loved it, and will definitely stay here again!
