Decent service. Terrible food. Ahi poke stack was all raw onion. We bought two specialty drinks and couldn’t finish. Had a similar experience at the north location, albeit not as bad. Should’ve known better than to try again. Won’t go back. Unfortunate because both are cool locations.

Excellent, tasty restaurant ! … had the Yellow Tail Sandwich with Sweet Potatoe Fries! Todd, our spanking new waiter was fabulous! The Orange Crush Drink… Refreshing! My visit was beginning of June ’16.

I’ve had the pleasure of having lunch at Lazy days twice and I have to admit it was good! The service was very good the food was amazing. The fish was fresh and the veggies too. The only thing that I didn’t like much was that the drinks weren’t worth paying for but, this is not a bar I guess so I give them 5 stars!

I think the other location would have been better. Food was large portions at decent price. We ordered the fried grouper which even though it wasn’t grouper it tasted similar and was cooked good. The service was ok and view was nice but here is why this place is not a great place… The bar is outside and full of people smoking and they were loud and cussed like sailers. When I’m spending 30 per plate I don’t want to smell cigarettes and listen to Loud drunks. Food is good but eat inside

Not my favorite place, food was disappointing. THE terrace at the water is however wonderful!

I have to say the food here was great. Its right off the water. Beautiful view when the sunsets. The lobster is fresh and delicious. The shrimp is to die for. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

This place is great. I had one of the most tasty lobster bisque here. The jumbo stuffed shrimp was amazing. My wife loved her Billings Salad. The view is phenomenal. One of the best seafood meals I have ever had. I will hit this up again when I return.

If I had to recommend one place while in Marathon, or even the keys for that matter, I would recommend Lazy Days. WARNING: this place is a little pricey. But believe me, ITISWORTHIT. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed. The restaurant is a hidden gem, quietly hiding behind a marina. It has fast wifi(which if you did not know is very rare for a restaurant in the keys)!!! The ambience is very relaxing and chill; plus with an absolute gorgeous view of the water and that Florida Keys sunset that people travel from all over the world to see. They have a variety of choices from wings, to sandwiches, burgers, pastas, and many seafood entrees. Each meal comes with a soup or salad. Both are excellent starters to your meal. The staff is very efficient and we did not have to wait long for our food at all. Yet, it felt as if the chef focused on every detail of our meal. Overall amazing experience. Now one of my favorite restaurants to go to.

This place was recommended to us by one of the guys running the Marathon Lady fishing cruise. We had caught enough fish on the cruise to have it cooked up Keys style, and preferred to do that instead of having a bag of stinky fish in the car home for 4 hours. We didn’t have too much of a wait here on a Sunday night, and the table we got was in the back section«on the water», but the clear wind barrier shades were drawn due to the weather. When we checked in with the hostess, we handed them the bag of fish and they put a name on it for the table, and we were told to give the same name to the waiter. The wait staff was not very attentive from the time we got in-from the time we were sat it took a good 8 – 10 minutes before anyone came to greet us or take a drink order. Later on when our bar order was delivered, a soda was forgotten. Likely because that was the job of the waitress and didn’t require a bar tab. When we told the waitress we wanted«our catch cooked», the waitress didn’t do a very good job of explaining how the offer was made. It was around $ 16 a person for the fish cooked plus soup or salad and a side for each person. The fish came in a big family size plate which we had to divvy up ourselves. Two wanted grilled and two wanted breaded and fried, and it wasn’t apparent whether that was doable. It was, but the waitress seemed dumbfounded when we asked for half and half. We got the salads relatively quickly, nothing to write home about. The fish came out and although it wasn’t the most meaty of flavorful fish in the world-just little ocean perch-it had almost NO seasoning on it. I doused it in lemon and still found it completely bland. I ordered sweet mashed potato as my side because I didn’t want fries or baked potato and the veggie of the day was asparagus-one of the few I find inedible. They were also insanely bland and I ended up dousing them in pepper. I’m not sure if the Sunday chef was just being lazy(hence the name of the restaurant) or whatever, but considering the restaurant makes out like BANDITS on this deal with«cook your catch», I’m not that smitten. The fish had to be brought in fileted and cleaned, so there was NO work for the chef at all, and no cost involved besides spices and sides. The profit margin was huge, they could have stood to spice the fish a bit, but they didn’t. I might give this place another try but I’m not local, and I would try an in house fish if I did. I hear the original Lazy Days in Islamorada has better reviews anyway-more likely to give that a shot.

Great experience from the moment I walked in, greeted with a basket of oven baked banana bread my waitress Rocio was attentive and informative, the yellow tail fish was AMAZING to accompany it was a salad and side of your choice. However, the Mahi Mahi that my boyfriend choose was not as great. But overall the place is recommendable, and not too pricey.

If you come here be prepared to get your own waiter. My party of 5 waited 10 minutes before we said anything to anyone and still no one came to great us or give us water or take drink orders. Was given a basket of bread after 10 minutes with still no drinks. We left after 15 Minutes. Will not be returning.

Heard mixed reviews about this place when talking to some locals, but my entire family LOVED it! Definitely will come back. The food was delicious. Some of us got shrimp(coconut and stuffed) which were huge. The key lime pie was the best we found on marathon key. Not too tart and not too sweet. Such a great view! We sat outdoors and watched the sunset. The best part was the service. Our wait staff and food«runners» were so kind, friendly, helpful, and on top of things. We loved how personable they were! Very different from many places we had eaten at in marathon.

Poor restaurant management seems to be a trend in the two places we’ve eaten at in Marathon. This was the second restaurant which seemed to be lacking in any efficient restaurant management. Our food arrived after long waits, yet the table next to us, who was seated after us, we’re served their food in quick order. On top of the ridiculous wait times for our food, none of the food runners seemed to have any idea which tables the food was supposed to be delivered to. Several times, while waiting for our own food, we were ask«did you order this?» One part of our order didn’t even arrive, and we had to request it be removed from the check. In addition, when the food did arrive, it was room temp at best. The food was alright, but the lack of background music, and the constant hustle by the staff as they tried to find out where to take the food they were carrying was very annoying, and put a sour note on the meal. Their response to our criticism about the lost food runners, and excessive wait times was«we’re really busy tonight». This is not an acceptable response when your restaurant deals with the crowds that come to the keys every year. I know this wasn’t the first holiday season this restaurant has been open.

The water views from the bar tables are great when the boats are out. We sat there and had great service. The large bar faces the wall with no view whatsoever, kind of an odd layout. It was on Sunday and the place was pretty dead. They did have football on the TV’s but I wouldn’t call it a sports bar. We were bar hopping and just had a couple appetizers and drinks. Fish dip was excellent. The cheese sticks had a very crunchy exterior and the conch soup was average. The seafood bisque was 4 stars. The hit of this visit was the marinara sauce they served with the cheese sticks, it was fantastic! I told the server that I wanted a bowl of it. Give me the sauce poured over anything! I’d go back just for that!

Delicious. They prepared the fish we caught today 5 different ways. Each better than the prior. Friendly wait staff. The sunset from the patio was so spectacular that the photo of it looks fake… too good to be true.

We’ve been to Lazy Days Islamorada before and tried South since we were in Marathon. My husband had been talking about a Lion Fish Sandwich for days since we knew we were heading down and thank goodness they had it! If you’re unfamiliar, Lion Fish is a invasive species brought over I believe from Japan that has no predators in our waters. As they’re really exotic looking and neat to look at, they eat our fish and affect our waters. As we fish ourselves, knowing there is one less bully Lion Fish in the water is very satisfying, and he’s delicious. Don’t say I never taught you anything! Service was great, a young man who grew up in the area gave great recommendations on how to order our fishes, Lazy Days style it was! The Lion Fish Sandwich for the guys, I stuck with a Lazy Days style grouper sandwich, I never had Lion Fish before so I ordered what I know. Perfectly cooked with great topped with fresh diced tomatoes, scallions, shredded Parmesan, and key lime butter. MMMmmm MM! Ohh and the Seafood bisque was delish. They also will cook your catch which is always fun! Good wine and beer selection, And the venue itself was great, a nice warm welcome to Marathon for us. Indoor seating is available but of course we wanted to be out on the covered patio deck on the water with a beautiful view of the sunset. Fortunately our fur baby wasn’t with us this time as this location is not dog friendly, however Islamorada locations is so it’s forgivable :)

We got here with a discount from and we got scared as it was 1:00pm and the place was empty. We got seated outside and our view was nice. Food came and we were pleasantly surprised. Huge portions and the sauce in the oysters Rockefeller was amazing. We got mahi mahi, hog fish and lion fish… all were fresh and well prepared. Liked the hog fish. Our waitress was very nice and all was served on time and as expected.

First time had great service. Good food they can also cook your catch. Second visit fair to poor most poor due to the waiter we had. Food delivered ok but never checked to see if anything else was needed. Had to flag down a manager to get the check taken care of. The waiters excuse was the manager gave him 4 tables to work. I would go back but prefer lazy days north in islamorda.
