I have been to this restaurant on more then a couple occasions and have always been met with a welcoming smile. I do feel that they should do some remodeling as the seating is breaking down. They have huge portions and huge family type menu. I would recommend this to folks who are looking for some of mom’s home cooking. Definitely not for fine dining tho.

Average breakfast food, I had the steak with biscuits and gravy. The quality of the steak was average, it was cooked a little rare even though I have asked for medium. Biscuits were not fresh more like yesterday baked and the gravy was not hot. The bloody Mary’s were good according to my family that I was traveling with. The rest of the food ordered had an OK appearance. There is not too much happening in Maple Valley, WA food wise so if you need breakfast this is one of the places.

Waitress is nice, never remembers us but it is what it is. She’s friendly and attentive! Breakfast is breakfast, nothing bad but nothing extraordinary. They put gravy on their hash browns and I don’t believe that’s stated on the menu. Mashed potatoes come with brown gravy, ribs weren’t what we expected. I was leery to order tortellini so I politely asked if they were the little frozen ones. She said no! They were really, really good. It’s a smaller portion of pasta which is upsetting at first but it’s very filling!

I have some special dietary needs and I was disappointed that the server faught me on these and charged me extra(without telling me) for reasonable substitutions(fruit cup instead of hash browns and toast). Prices are very high for what it is, and quality is average. I would not go there again.

Having been to Gloria’s 100’s of times, I thought I’d take my girlfriend there to give the new place a shot. With Gloria’s, I knew I wasn’t going to get the most extravagant food, but I knew it would have some flavor. My girlfriend and I told our waitress that we were excited to give this place a try and she did the«great food» and head roll line I’ve seen at every restaurant ever. We both ordered the Friday night prime rib and a trip through the salad bar. I didn’t know that a salad could be so bland. The onions were all water. The cheese had no flavor. Even the croutons weren’t very seasoned. They didn’t have hot dishes on the salad bar anymore. And the clam chowder had almost a mayonnaise undertone of flavor. Having managed a steakhouse, I know prime rib has fat in it. But not this much. I practically cut half of the prime rib away. And, it was also pretty bland. The redeeming factor was the mashed potatoes and gravy. It was mostly warm, but had some flavor. I’m sure I’ll be back. Mostly because I’ve lived in MV off and on since 1990. And that’s what we do. I just know that I’ll be getting mediocre food and mediocre service.

I ordered chicken fettuccine and really enjoyed it. The Caesar salad was good too. My husband was not happy that his potato was small, but to be fair — he complains about most food. I would eat here again.

We’ve eaten here several times since it changed to Stocktons. Very clean now and was pleased to see a slight menu change. Some recommendations: would love to see a grilled chicken dish, more salads, and smaller portion sizes for seniors. A side note about salads: love the spring mix but add romaine hearts and iceberg to it to give it the crunch factor. Some purple cabbage too.

Limited menu, on the slower side for service and food is just average if not below average in taste.

The second star is because anything would be better that Gloria’s(the restaurant that previously occupied this space. This business has potential, but they really need to dial in the menu pricing, which is too high. $ 10 for an order of onion rings. Really? Good luck with that.

We decided to try this new place in Maple valley and was pleasantly surprised. I had the Chicken Dijon with a dinner salad and a glass of Pinot Gris. The salad was fresh and good quality. The chicken Dijon was delicious — the sauce was balanced and creamy with mushrooms and capers. My companions burger was generous and tasty. We will eat here again.

5÷23÷15 8:30PM: So far, the bar portion of this restaurant is only getting a 2 star review from me. I came here to watch the band, Boneyard Boogie. I sat down and it took about 10 minutes before the female bartender came over and took my drink order. She did NOT have a very pleasant attitude whatsoever. My husband ordered coffee and he had to ask for a spoon to stir his coffee with. DUH! Guess he was supposed to use his finger. It’s still early in the evening so I’ll update this review as the evening progresses. 10:25PM: The service is still very crappy. My husband had to go to the bar to get me another drink and some water. All the female bartender does is stand behind the bar and eat and joke around with people she knows. 11:12PM: The female bartender has left and the male bartender is 100% better! Will come back ONLY if he is working! So I’m now changing it to 5 stars only because of the male bartender!
