Extended Stay America – Minneapolis – Maple Grove

I’d have rated it higher but I that it’s showing it’s age, isn’t located near the best amenities, and really isn’t much cheaper than the local competition, which have many more features and benefits for a fairly similar price.
Absolutely no frills. I stayed at this location about 5 years back briefly, but the quality has dropped since then.
The fixtures and room were tidy, but worn. We checked into and left the room the same night. I thought my body would have to give before the mattress did. The mattress was so uncomfortable we decided to relocate to a different hotel risking the wrath of a waken 2 year old in the process.
Since we booked the room directly through their site and not a third party one they gave us all but the first night back in refund (thus 2 stars).
Get better value for money elsewhere. Unless they really start competing with the local market (offering free WiFi, regular free maid service) they will lose business to competition that does provide all amenities in newer more comfortable rooms.
