My son and I love the town of manzanita. Unfortunately we do not feel the same about this place and there special hot dogs. At $ 6 for one dog I felt like I was ripped off. I was very disappointed about the presentation and how it tasted. I could have made a better hot dog at home in my microwave for a fraction of the price. However, the gentleman that helped us and actually made the hot dogs(or pull them out of my microwave) was very friendly. If it wasn’t for him I would have given it one star.

The cutest elderly couple run this hot dog stand right outside of their house. Great set up and such a fun idea! Lots of tables to sit at and just a few steps from the beach. We will be back! Ps thanks for the free licorice! :)

A delightful couple serving up yummy hotdogs from a cart. We miss them when we’re here in the winter months. They make a great Chicago dog, but if you don’t like all the fixings they’ll gladly customize. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s a quick eat and the proceeds go to local charity… So don’t squeak at a $ 6 dog.

How in the world there’s a Chicago Dog stand in this tiny Oregon Coast town? I have no idea, but they do it to a T. Here’s what makes the quintessential CHI-town dog: Vienna beef dogs… Check Poppie seed bun… Check Spicy sport peppers… Check Mustard only… Check Electric green relish… Check Onions… Check A couple shakes of celery salt… Check Enjoying outside next to the ocean while listening to the Cubs on AM radio? Double check. This is home very far away from home :)

Awesome customer service and great Chicago dogs! What more needs to be said? We were staying right across the street and the smell lured us in for lunch. Picnic tables and paper plates. The perfect beach town treat. Highly recommend.

My parents were visiting me in Portland for the week, and we made a day trip to the beach. We were looking for a quick lunch and stumbled upon this hotdog stand. The service was great; they were generous and so friendly! The hotdogs? To die for! I swear every meal for the rest of the week my parents said, «I could really go for another one of those hotdogs.» I can’t wait to take all my guests here!

Tasty, affordable, real Chicago Dogs. Or hold the sport peppers. Served by fine, friendly local folk. Humble, founders of the Mudd-Nick Foundation; that funds and provides activities, experiences, education, confidence; for the youth of the community. Opening their minds, hopes, ambitions to doors that would be locked. Enough. If ya like good fresh hot dogs, this would be for you.
Out, Frequent happy customer.

$ 5 Chicago dog, good quality and presentation. Friendly and happy couple own this place. It’s a cart, so be prepared to accomodate the weather. Good choice for a quick, delicious lunch in Manzanita.

Chicago Dogs on the Oregon Coast! Preposterous but true! $ 5 a pop and the owners(the mudds) donate proceeds to local charity…

Lynn and Jim Mudd have operated this hot dog stand for seven years. $ 5 for a true Chicago hot dog enjoyed outdoors on picnic tables — Vienna brand all-beef boiled frankfurter in a poppy seed bun with yellow mustard, bright dyed green pickle relish, fresh chopped tomatoes, chopped onions, two HOT peppers, sauerkraut and a large Kosher pickle slice. Tradition is that you cannot ask for changes but Mudd cordially held the tomatoes for my wife; soft drinks $ 1, chips $ 1. Took the kids and grandkids there — One daughter is a vegetarian and Mudd accommodated her. The twenty year old grandson is 6′ 6″ with two hollow legs. Mudd told him that if he ate two Mudd Dogs, the third would be on the house. He did eat two but declined the third. All proceeds go to benefit the Mudd Nick(Nicholson) Foundation with an annual budget of around $ 70,000. Leave a generous tip — it goes directly to the Foundation as does all proceeds from Mudd Dogs. Open Tuesday through Sunday all summer from 11:30AM to 4PM in a little open lot on Laneda Avenue toward the beach. Music on weekends. Huh? A quartet of locals plus girl singer.
