Update review: Went back to Petes last night with my boyfriend cause he liked it the first time I took him. So this time we ended up just keeping it simple and getting a pizza, half creamy garlic chicken and half Hawaiian. The Hawaiian part didn’t taste like Hawaiian, it had extra seasonings on it which threw off the flavor, and the creamy garlic chicken was just plain oily. We both were pretty disappointed with it.

Me and my husband came here a day before father’s day to beat Sunday crowd and so glad we did. We sat in the patio area all the staff was really nice and keept on checking on us we both order from bar area and had pastas his was a shrimp pasta and mine was a spicy chicken we don’t recall the names however everything was delicious. We have tried many restaurant s around the central valley and so glad we came here. Thank god we have a nice decent place to eat that is local and good because if you live in Manteca you know our restaurants are sad and it is hard to support local businesses because there is only a few that are good. Well enough said this place is great we stayed there until closing and we never got koo asked to leave due to closing great service great food and we will become regulars. Great Job…:-)

Service was wonderful, not pushy or rushed at all. Split a sandwich and onion rings with my friend and it was incredibly filling. The beer is kinda on the expensive side, but not enough to be out of question.

We first ate here shortly after it opened and swore we’d never come back. The staff was slow and the food was mediocre, but one day the wait at red robin was so ridiculous we decided to give Pete’s another shot and I’m so glad we did. It’s come a long way since it first opened and this is now one of our family’s favorite spots. The artichoke dip appetizer is one of my faves and the Chicken Gorgonzola bow tie is amazing. If your into Ale’s I recommend the Hoptologist.

If the service was better, they absolutely would have gotten 5 stars. Everybody at our table loved what they ordered! I had the turkey Monterey sandwich and I will say that it was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had! Soooo good! Everyone else had burgers and they all said that they are one of the best burgers they have had. When we got there we were seated and then waited for our waitress to come take our drink order. Meanwhile we watched her go take the orders of other customers that came in like 5 minutes after us! We had to ask for napkins more than once. I had to ask for my side salad, because it did not come with my sandwich. My mom gave me her glass of water, because our waitress didn’t bother to come by and give me a refill. My parents came here when they first opened and attributed the bad service that night to the new opening. Tonight well past the grand opening… still bad service? That really sucks, because the food was outstanding! You’ve gotta get your staff in order and train them to give great service. Once that happens you’ll have more stars than you’ll know what to do with! Maybe you don’t realize how important good service is?

This was my first time here at Pete’s the food was delicious. My husband and I enjoyed our appetizer, fried calamari with marinara sauce. We also ordered the Pete’s famous knotts. They were really yummy and smothered in butter and parmesan cheese. For our entrée we ordered a pizza to share. All meat pizza was so hot when it came out. Super fresh and hot for our tastebuds. We enjoyed it very much. Overall great place. We will be back for sure.

Good pizza joint in Manteca! It’s located in a fairly busy shopping center, so it can get very crowded. However, they do have good pizza, so it can definitely be worth the wait. We tried the veggie pizza, and it was delicious. I definitely recommend!

Really disappointed for a location that has a nice atmosphere, clean, nice bar, TVs located but the service and food presentation killed it. We came in Friday 1pm, it was not that crowded 0 wait. It’s my second coming here, first time had the Jalapeño burger and it was on point. This time around ordered the Bleu Wrap expecting there was some type of Bleu cheese in it? It was good. My wife ordered the salad and her plate was dirty around the edges, waitress took it back which was fine but there was never a follow up to see what they can do or check back to see if everything was okay. In addition the time to prep a salad and a wrap seemed to take awhile. The kids had a cheese pizza, corn dogs and fries and you won’t hear them complain. I would give it one last shot.

Visiting from Washington state and Pete’s was close to the hotel, so we walked– a definite benefit since we rolled out of there stuffed! We ordered the regular pizza knots: the only«eh» thing we ordered. They were overlooked and dry. Getting some extra butter helped. We ordered the Ale House chicken, a delicious ale-cheese sauce complementing sliced chicken with mushroom and onion on top of garlic mashed potatoes. We literally scraped the plate clean. Hubby had a Rogue Hazelnut brown ale, really good. I ordered a boring Coke but it hit the spot. The service and cleanliness of the restaurant is first class. Only complaint: No baseball on the tv! I’m a fanatic!

I ordered a salad and it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good. The salad looked beautiful but it needed a little pazaz. The colors were bright and the chickens was cooked but Something was missing. The inside it really clean and nice. The bar might be the best part of this place.

Walked in & two of the hostess did not greet us yet looked like we were out of place. We ain’t white like they were. We were Seated and the waitress was nice enough to get our drinks. However she also seemed to forget we were there as our orders were never placed. But she took down the orders of the table behind us, who were seated after us. But hey, they were white. As much as there were servers walking to and fro seemingly not doing anything. It didn’t really look like a busy place to NOTGETOURORDERS. Not to play to sound racist, But this is the vibe me and my boyfriend got.

Tonight is my husbands birthday. He chose to have his birthday dinner here and watch the warrior game. While we were still eating the manager JD turned off the game at 10pm sharp. My husband looked at him and said man you trying to tell me to get out or what? JD said«I’m not telling you to get out but we are now closed.» So rude! I don’t think we will be back again. It was so rude the couple eating behind us looked at us and said wow that was rude! Can’t believe JD is a manager at a restaurant. Drinks were good. Emily at the bar did a great job thats where the one star comes from. Bummer Manteca needs some nice places to go. This is not a place I recommend going.

We got seated really fast. The service was friendly. We got our food fast. I had the pastrami burger. It was made perfectly. Just the right amount of horseradish sauce. I asked for medical on the burger Patty but, it was medium well. Not a big deal. The sweet potato fries are always delicious. I washed it down with an amazing«knee deep hopoligist» double IPA. The pastrami burger look so good, I ate half of it before I realized I didn’t take a pic. So pardon me! I have been to Pete’s a few times. I like the décor and the food, I will be coming back.

Pete’s is a great place to grab a bite. They have a good variety of food, typical restaurant chain atmosphere, and good service. It’s location in Manteca, next to the movie theater makes it a good option for a date night. You can catch a movie, grab some great tasting food, and take a stroll astound the shopping center, even though there isn’t much to see. The manager always happens to be there when I go, and he is always walking the floor, checking in customers to see how well their food was prepared, and will even chit-chat with you for a while. My family and I went after seeing San Andreas, and were waited on by this bubbly waitress that had OCD and used a plethora of different colored pens. She explained it was part of her OCD and was actually a great server. That actually seemed to enjoy delivering great service and took prior in her job. I left her a 20 $ tip which I don’t normally do. Great place, I hope it doesn’t change. As for what can make it avatar restaurant for me, the only reason I took away a star was thatmy son and I ordered the ribs one time and they were overly salted. I don’t return for because of the cooks revenge legend we’ve all been warned about so I just dealt with it. So I guess it would be more consistency in the good preparation of the food.

This location I have been waiting to try it for sometime now, I finally did last Night Saturday April 9, 2016 Got there about 6pm 40 min wait. yes we waited with the rain we sat there and suffered through it. Now we did not have appitizers just ordered the main course dinner and salad. Meal: I had the Bow tie noodles Chicken with Gorgonzola cheese sauce which I asked if they could substitute shrimp for chicken and they said YES :). Bobby the chef there made it and it was very very good. I know it was bobby because I wanted to tell him what I thought about it. I told him that maybe they should offer this substitute on the menu. party of five chicken garlic pizza with white sauce was very good, Clam Chowder was very good. Pepperoni Pizza was good. the shrimp tortellini with white sauce was very good to. despite the long wait the food was very good I would get the same order again. Place is clean, good customer service. Parking was a little hard last night but this location has Bass Pro shop, theater and Red robins all in the area so. you may have to walk a little due to not parking as close.

I’ve been here twice now. Once when they first opened, and now since they’ve been open for nearly a year. On the first visit, I sat at the bar and ordered a beer and ordered some fried cheese sticks. The décor is cool, and the beer was cold. Unfortunately, the cheese sticks were also cold. Cheese should be melted on a cheese stick, not bone cold. Whatever, it’s a new restaurant I’ll try again later. Fast forward to today. Décor still nice. This restaurant does its best to pass itself off as upscale(aka bouji) for Manteca. Unfortunately, the service and food do not match the attempt at fine dining. I ordered a appetizer and a rib-eye dinner. The appetizer took 35 minutes to arrive(another slow kitchen problem). I informed the waitress that if the appetizer was going to take that long, just send it back since my dinner shouldn’t be far behind. Her reply, «we’re busy, and your steak will be about another 30 minutes». WTF?! She insisted I eat the appetizer, and sure enough my dinner arrived 5 minutes later. What was the point? To make matters worse, she kept pressuring me to give her a compliment as if she made things better. My medium-rare steak came out medium-well…whatever. For the sake of trying to have a nice dinner, I smiled and hoped I wouldn’t be bothered. If waiters dressed in all black, nice décor, and dim lighting lighting are what your looking for, Pete’s is your place! If service, great tasting food, and a good experience are what your after, theirs better places in town.

This is a casual join in Manteca, it’s right next to the theater so it’s great if you are watching a movie. The best things about this place are the beer selection, the pizza, and the«Knots». In the past, I’ve ordered some of the burgers and sandwiches and I always look back and think I should have gotten a pizza. So, if you want pizza and beer, then this joint is 5 Stars. If you want something else though, it’s more like 3 stars. Hence 4 stars. I’ll go back for sure though, so that’s pretty good.

We’ve been coming here on Tuesday nights for Yolanda the bartender! She is the greatest with communicating with the customers and keeping on top of all the orders and getting your drinks to you! My favorite here is the Ale House Chicken and the Caesar Salad! However, the owners have never been friendly, we could be there 2 hours go out to my car and return and the wife would welcome me to Pete’s even though she had passed through the bar she never even notices her customers! I am a restaurant owner myself and that is the most important business advice I could give is to acknowledge your customers! I watch everyone that works there and agreeing with a lot of other comments, your staff is not on top of their job! I see people waiting at their tables a long before the server shows up, or waiting to see if they need more drinks! Since Yolanda is no longer there, we will not be returning!

Ate here with my family for lunch. It was my first time eating here. Overall, it was good and I would definitely go back. We sat on their outdoor patio which was nice in the warm weather. There is some shade on the patio also for those who don’t want to be in the sun. My sister and I shared the grilled chicken sandwich. It was pretty good, chicken was a little dry and could have used more sauce on it. The french fries are amazing! Their menu has a nice variety, would like to try their pizza next time.

We’d eaten here several months back and although the service was good, the food tasted like something you’d get at the local grocery store freezer section. The cotton candy martini was very good though. Thought we’d give it another try. We tried the cinnamon bread knots. Pretty good but no «icing» dip to go with them. They did however, offer chocolate, caramel, or strawberry dipping sauce. The pizza was good but they included toppings we requested be left off. The salad with balsamic vinaigrette was your standard bag salad many restaurants serve. The dressing was thick but good. The chicken dumpling was made with a broth, not cream base which was fine. The dumplings weren’t the best and it tasted like Progresso or any canned soup. The service was fine. Overall, the food wasn’t horrible but it doesn’t taste as if much of the food is actually made there. I imagine most of it is frozen, canned, etc,
