2 stars because I found a book in good condition, otherwise 1 star for overall experience. I frequent thrift stores & used to work for a non profit that owned one. This place is ridiculously overpriced. I found a nice jewelry display(not antique or vintage) about 2′ tall that was obviously very used: rickety, missing a side wall, a knob & had a cracked shelf. I love repurposing small pieces & fell in love with it broken & all. The price though I was not too happy with. Falling apart it was priced $ 10. I asked a guy that was putting items out if they were final on the price & I showed him the various pieces that were missing or broken(I said it very nice & politely) he responded with a very rude demeanor«it is what it is» & walked away before I could say anything. His attitude was as if he didn’t want to be there and didn’t care. Very rude service. I understand it’s a NONPROFIT but like mentioned above I used to work for a NONPROFIT& a family member worked for the non retail aspect of Goodwill & had some things to say about the«profit» part of their«non profit». All I wanted was a decent price to pay or a nicer way of saying no to me asking if the price was final. It would cost me a little more than $ 10 just to get it in functioning condition. I knew there was a reason why I stayed away from this place. Pretty much done trying to give this place chances for me to like shopping here. Lesson learned.

I can always find something special at this store and I go weekly if not more. The staff are friendly and the prices aren’t bad. The store is clean and orderly and they are always stocking the shelves with«new» items. Of all the thrift stores, I know of in Manteca, this one is far above the rest. I have found some real deals at this store and the items looked brand new. My only complaint would be, I wish the store was bigger. :)

Went there for some baby clothes and we got there 15 minutes before closing. The clerk yelled«we’ll be closing in 15 minutes» I found a few things to buy but wasn’t sure if I wanted to purchase as I looked them over carefully. As I was doing such. the clerk yelled«if you want to make a purchase, you better bring your items up now». wow… very expensive and slim pickens.

So seeing there was only one review, and one picture I decided to check out this place for myself. This Goodwill is different than what I’m used to, it isn’t a set price for clothing, and linens. It’s all priced different with tags. But I noticed some mens clothing was priced the same. Really weird. We saw a last chance sign and thought. OOOOOO does that mean 75% off… 50% off. 40% off… 30% off. No last chance clothes are only 25% off?!? Not worth the discount. I gave them an extra star because the dressing rooms, and restrooms were very clean. I will not be back to this Goodwill, the prices are a little high for my taste and some staff aren’t very friendly and act like you are bothering them with your presence.

Like any goodwill, had some good item for good prices, I spend about $ 60. The review is negative because they were closing early and the employee wouldn’t unlock the bathroom for my 2 year old daughter and pregnant wife 10 minutes before closing, they had to walk to a business next door. How infuriating! On top of that the cashier could barely speak English and didn’t understand what I was saying to her. Can’t say I will be going back to this store.
