Love this place! The food is delicious and we always eat way too much because we just can’t stop eating. Ma and PA are awesome, so down to earth and personable. They have the place decorated adorably and the bathroom is a must see! Highly recommend but be sure to bring your apatite!

Best BBQ in Manteca and beyond. Cozy restaurant with a western feel. Very welcoming and attentive staff. Had the beef brisket, Mac n cheese, tadders, and pulled pork nachos. MA’s and Billiies pride sauce were my fav. WEKILLEDITALL. Very delicious! Will be back for the frog legs!!! Oh cute bathroom too!

Nasty, dirty, place. Never, never, ever are going to eat there again. It was a waste of money, time, but most of all stomach. The ONLY reason I was there was because my brother in law picked this place to have dinner on his birthday… Being more specific? The table top feel greasy at the touch, the different barbecue bottles were smear, sticky, and dirty and the waitress had smears(of I don’t know what) on the front of her t-shirt(breast area) that looked naaaasty. Oh, I am giving it ONE star just because if I select zero or don’t select any the website doesn’t allow me to post my review.

I definitely did not like it! Food did not seem fresh! Also the place needed more lighting. I was also disappointed on the wait time. Freshness is my concern.

Simply Amazing Food! The Brisket was the best ive eaten. The Tri Tip was extremely tender and full of flavor. this place makes dickeys look like mcdonalds. seriously theyre not even in the same league. My buddy and I stopped for dinner after work and the waitress/owner was genuinely warm and friendly and turned us on to a few new beers/drinks. we only waited mayby 10 mins for our food. Everything we ate had a simple unique and great flavor. The prices are very good. Ill definitely be back.

Wow! Great food, cute place and very nice people. I Loved the Tri-tip dip. We indulged just to try the deep fried pie. It was delicious. Glad I don’t live near here, it’d be too hard to resist, haha. Great find.

I love BBQ! This place is amazing. It’s so much more Han just a BBQ joint. The decorations are very cute and set a great atmosphere. I eat here whenever I’m in Manteca to visit cousins or if I’m working in the area. The service is amazing. I’ve never had anything I didn’t like on the menu. When you come here you must tried the fried apple pie. Absolutely out of this world. They have great frog legs, pulled pork, and the drunken chicken is excellent. Memphis Mac is defiantly my favorite, not to mention their mash potatoes are out of sight. Almost as good as my grandmas who is from Oklahoma. Can’t get any more okie than that.

I guess being from Texas, I’m a little biased about bbq but this place was absolutely disgusting. My husband and I both thought the food tasted old and off. Neither one of us finished our food and took it in to go boxes just to be nice. It was such a waste of $ 50.

We go there with family when we are in Manteca. This time I tried something different and ordered the baked spaghetti. It was not good. Everyone at the table tried it just to make sure it wasn’t me. I will stick with mashed taters and gravy next time. Most of their meat is too peppery for me. But we love the nachos!

This place is a hidden gem. The food is really good! All of their sauces are fantastic! Their fried pickles are the best I have ever had! Food fills you up and the owners are great. You have to try this place and experience bbq hill Billie style.

Had the catfish with Mach and cheese and it was really good. The cheddar biscuit was a bit disappointing though but all and all the service was good and the food was great

The best brisket I have had and I’ve been to a lot of places in Texas. Pork ribs were coming off the bone. Great sauces and as with any good BBQ place, the sides are great. Mac and cheese is so creamy. Fried spaghetti was so good I wanted more.

Ordered the 3 meat combo… yeah, I could have died, been buried in the pasture, used as fertilizer, and been reincarnated as a cow. Then, as a cow, I would gladly give myself up to this BBQ spot. O0 Okay, that was kinda weird but the brisket was tender and juicy and so was the chicken breast and the hot link. The potato salad was really good too. Sweeter than most and tasted fresh. Thank you for a great lunch.

I’m from Chicago so I know good BBQ and this is good BBQ. It’s hard to find BBQ outside of the south and midwest states but when you do, it’s great! This small joint feels like you’re down south in Louisville Kentucky(low-ville). The brisket was better than my grandma’s(don’t tell my grandma). My favorite sauce was Billy’s and Pa’s. The owner/waitress was extremely kind and had that sweet southern friendliness about her. I’ll go back when I’m in town. Don’t leave without trying a fried pie.

Came here with coworkers the other day. We were open to not settling on our usual place around Manteca and decided to whip out the Unilocal App. After seeing reviews on this spot we figured we would give it a try out for lunch. We walk in and were seated immediately. Surprisingly we had the place to ourselves. We told the owner it was our first time. After taking our drink and food orders she brought out all of their sauces that they make in house. Photos of these can be seen uploaded from others. They have so many to pick from, you’re guaranteed that at least 1 will suit the dish you’re ordering. While the food was being cooked we were sampling the sauces. Not long after the food came out. The sampling time was a good way to kill some time for the cooks to cook the food. They got straight to work and our food came out in a good amount of time. I had to try out the BBQ Chicken — 2 Chicken Breasts and 2 Sides(your pick). The food wasn’t too bad. The french fries and green beans were delicious. They have distinct french fries here. It’s not like the fries I’ve had anywhere else. Seasoned well with a bit of crisp potato skin. Biting into the hot fries yielded a softer potato heated to the point to where the flavor was seal in, and the steam alone added an additional flavor to the bite. The chicken in my opinion fell a little short. It was pretty average. Wasn’t seasoned to well, but it didn’t completely ruin the meal. I’m not sure if the chicken was cooked and put out first before the other 3 plates, but it wasn’t extremely hot. It could’ve been the BBQ Sauce acting as the adversary here, playing against the heat of the cooked chicken. The sauce alone almost made up for the chicken not being the hottest thing on the plate. Overall, everyone in my party loved the food. I was surprised to see they don’t get the lunch traffic they deserve here. While we were inside eating for about an hour, the entire place was empty. Maybe it was a slow day. I’m sure this place gets packed at night. Our first experience left a lasting impression and we’ll be back here again. They’ve really gone all out on the theme of this place. Regardless if it’s the owners life style and comes off as their ‘norm’ or they’re accompanying the restaurant’s name, this place is exclusive and you aren’t going to find anything like it in the area.

Absolutely fantastic BBQ in the last place you’d expect to look. Don’t let the somewhat sketch surroundings drive you away — Billie Hills is worth it. For starters, the inside of this place exudes pure hillbilly class. There is a bra with flowers, high wooden tables, a TV playing sports, and even a shrine for a PBR can. But the real showstopper is the food — it is good, and they give you a lot of it. Sliders are full-blown sandwiches that take up the plate, french fries are cut up whole potatoes, and tri-tip sandwiches are easily a foot. It’s all freshly made too, coming out smoky and paired with one of their four homemade sauces. I’ll definitely make it a habit to come here when coming to/from the mountains.
