A very solid four stars. Went out looking for something different from the normal chains and came across Two Silver Spoons. Small family ran place that looks like they took over an old dry cleaning location. Meatloaf good! Greens very good! Okra good, sweet potatoes good! The servings are quite large, but it was so good I cleaned my plate, which is unusual. I wasn’t hungry at all when I tasted my wife’s catfish, it was excellent, the fried okra was also very good. I was too full to even attempt a dessert. Most entrees are less than $ 12, so I gave them a single $ since nothing was close to $ 30. When I want home cooking and don’t want to make it myself. this is the new place.

I had the fried catfish, okra, green beans and mac&cheese… my husband had the smoked ribs. Yum! This place is one of my new favorite places. So much food too!

Very good food. It is a little expensive. The chitterlings literally made me gag, just the smell. So if you’re not used to that be aware. I think the phrase«soul food» turns people off. In reality it’s just delicious down home cooking. My favorite items are the fresh fried okra, Mac and cheese, and yams. They’re sides are the best part. My 7&3 year old always ask to go back! And we do! Oh I forgot to mention the customer service. It’s beyond top notch.

My husband and I traveled to Dallas to go to the State Fair on the day of the OSU and Texas game. So, I looked up some soul food restaurants and found this wonderful place. We had to drive about 20 minutes from where we were staying but it was worth it. The serving size portions are very generous, and she even made me some smothered pork chops which weren’t shown on the menu. We didn’t dine at the restaurant, but got takeout instead. The flavors are so good. Reminds me of dinner during the holidays. We would definitely go back when we are in the Dallas area again. I would defiantly recommend visiting Two Silver Spoons if you are in the area. I know I would be dropping by at least once a week if I could. The only thing we didn’t like that we tried was the banana pudding. The pudding was salty and bitter.

Great home cooked food. I’m not sure what soul food is, but this is GOOD food! So far, we’ve only had the catfish, but it’s wonderful(and HUGE), and the sides are very tasty. The décor is a bit Spartan, but tastefully done. We’d highly recommend trying it out-it’s now one of our favorites.

This is Mansfield’s hidden treasure! The food tastes and looks like my Mimi’s Sunday after church dinner. The atmosphere and hospitality of the owners made me feel like I was right at home with family. I enjoyed the fried catfish and fries basket. The one filet filled half the plate and was piping hot delicious. Large crinkle fries filled the other half of my plate. Awesome tarter sauce and plenty of ketchup topped it off. I took two orders of the Wednesday baked chicken special home with me. It comes with green beans and mashed potatoes. One generous slice of homemade chocolate cake is enough to share but you won’t want to after you take the first bite. I can’t wait to try the okra gumbo and wilted cabbage. Strawberry cake or bread pudding will be my next dessert. Dine in or get it to go. I need another glass of their cold sweet secret recipe tea right now! I’ve already recommend Two Silver Spoons to my friends and family.

So so soo good!.. It def is so good it makes you wanna slap your momma. I go here at least once a week. I’ve tried everything from Oxtail to Fish and everything has been good. Make sure you go in and talk to the owners. They are the most upbeat down to Earth folks that treat you like family from the second you walk in. They don’t rush you out the door if you wanna sit down and eat. The desserts are amazing too. I go for the banana pudding and my husband likes the bread pudding. It really doesn’t get any better than this spot. The punch and sweet tea are tied for being perfectly sweet enough but not too sweet. Highly recommended and have sent a few folks there already. I’m a loyal customer and fan and will be for a very long time.

My wife, 2 boys, and myself have dined in the restaurant and ordered take-out 3 times in one week. It is delicious! The menu is easy is to read and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It is a mom-Pop shop so it is family oriented. Every time I come by, I feel welcomed as if I’m part of the family. The food is delicious and they give large portions in the meat and sides. This is a true soul food restaurant. Please support it and keep it in business. Try the house sweet tea and country punch. The meal isn’t complete without it!

I visited a week ago and I was very pleased. Glad to finally have a soul food restaurant in Mansfield. I ordered the pork chops, corn, broccoli cheese casserole, & cabbage! It was absolutely delicious, fresh & flavorful! The Customer Service was also top notch and the owner and her family that worked really catered to the customers! I can’t wait to go back!

Was so happy when I called today and found they were open for lunch. The last time we tried, the doors were locked even though the sign said it was during business hours. It was a little confusing when we went in, we weren’t sure if it was a buffet or if we would be able to order from a menu, the nice young lady behind the counter said we could order from the menu on the wall. It was about 11:30am and as we were preparing to order, she let us know that salad, smoked chicken, black eyed peas and a number of other menu items were not ready yet. No problem, we ordered two fried pork chop dinners, with 3 sides… Oh my goodness!!! What a treat, it was excellent. Even with the shortcomings of a relatively new restaurant and disorganization we will defiantly go back for more soul food goodness!

Enjoyed lunch today with the Mrs. Both had the Pork Chops, with 3 veggie sides. Veggies were good, and the Pork Chops were excellent. Service was very good. Some items were not available on lunch menu, but would be available for dinner hours. A little pricey for lunch, but will come back to try other items.

My husband and I were looking for a new place to eat lunch when we noticed an open sign outside the former location of Top Secret BBQ on Walnut Creek. We were greeted warmly by the owner of Two Silver Spoons as we entered. The food is displayed buffet style and the owners plate it for you. Be sure to come hungry because eating here was like«going home again» for dinner, just like Mom would make. The seasoning on the generous portion of baked chicken was perfectly savory and came with a cornbread muffin. The sides were all warm and delicious(broccoli cheese casserole, cabbage and black eyed peas for me.) Other options included green beans, pinto beans, corn, yams and macaroni & cheese. They specialize in soul food so my husband decided to try the mustard greens. I stole a bite and was surprised that I liked the flavor better than spinach. They also serve meatloaf, chicken tetrazinni and spaghetti with meatballs to name a few. We paid at the register after we ate and the owners explained that as busy career people with kids, they got tired of pizza and burgers all the time. They wished for a place where they could get a quick meal that tasted like what you would make at home. We have often wished for the same thing and think we have found it. We came for lunch but will be back again soon for dinner.
