Adequate selection of beer, wine and liquor, but these guys are dishonest! Watch out for deceptive price labeling and overcharging! Always check what they’re charging you against the price you think you’re paying. Insist on an itemized receipt. Twice I have caught them overcharging me by $ 1 compared to their advertised price on beer. The first time this happened, I could write it off as an honest mistake, but the second time it’s clear that this is a deliberate practice. When I called them on it, at first they tried to tell me I was wrong (believe me or your lying eyes), then when I proved it to them, they grudgingly refunded me the extra dollar, without apologizing. They looked pretty pissed off, especially since there were several other customers in the store at the time. If you regularly buy from this store, they are probably skimming extra off your purchase compared to the advertised price on the label on a regular basis. Buyer beware…

Quite a nice spirit shop that just opened up in Storrs Center. The owner is incredibly nice — I was looking to purchase an Easter wine, and he not only pointed me to a delicious rosé, but he also opened a sample bottle of it (a day earlier than planned) just so that I could try it.
If you want to support a small business owner, this is a great place to consider!
