awful service process in place if you are a business owner… they require things for a membership that a REAL wholesale store doesn’t. they want to see an original business license and an original cigarette license for a membership. God forbid your cig license expires. then instead of just having to bring in a copy you have to bring in both business and cig license. again something that a TRUE wholesaler doesn’t pester you about. it is as if they are trying to discourage small business… Sams? Walmart??? say it isn’t so. are they afraid of the competition from my little mom and pop grocery store???

Today I went to SAMs to buy some batteries. Price on the label below several dozen packages was $ 16.48. Item rang up $ 24.99 or so. I paid for it as I walked towards the door I reviewed the receipt and noted the price difference. I went to customer service and explained the situation to the woman at customer service. She walked over with me and saw where the product was put in the wrong area. Nothing in the entire display was over $ 19. She called a manager who refused to honor the price. For $ 8 they lost a customer. Not only did I return the batteries but asked for a refund of my membership. Manager came by and didn’t say a word but issued the refund for the membership. In most places the managers would care and ask what caused the dissatisfaction. Not at Walmart– I mean SAMs. This would never happen at Costco. I refuse to go back to SAMs based on the principle. Beware of prices.

This Sam’s is brand new and I love it! I used to have a membership with the competitor Costco, but for me it was only because of the location. It is on my way to and from work, so that was mainly the reason.
But I tend to favor Sam’s more anyways that’s who my Mom always had and I like their options of items better.
Everyone loves the samples, and that’s a given, but I think it does help if I want to buy a product or not especially since everything seems to be about $ 10 a piece mostly.
And the Food Stand area, the hot dogs are good and the cheap soft drinks and pizza, I love it.
I love their bakery items they have, cookies, crossiants, pies, all that is so good.
And something I always grab is one of the Rotisserie Chickens for $ 5, steal!

The Sam’s Club in Mansfield is a great place to shop, very clean. They offer everything you could possibly need like Hearing Aids, Glasses, Tires, Gas, and a discount Pharmacy, not to mention the excellent selection of groceries. I highly recommend coming in to see the difference for yourself. Happy shopping!

This is a membership only environment. Which I kind of enjoy. This one is rather nicer than all the rest. I called earlier today, and asked for a particular product. They had it I have been looking for all week. She was nice enough to let me know that it might take a while before she came back because her person was gone on break. If you like a smaller place this may be the one for you. Thanks Sam’s club!

I decided to cancel my membership today. I was dissatisfied with the lack of organic or health food options anyway and today when the manager Larissa (sp?) was very rude and unhelpful I decided that I needed to get my money back and that’s just what I did. The staff is nice but the management will run this store to the ground if they don’t step it up. The workers need more help up in the front, it’s just not fair for customers… including myself… to get upset at them when really it is poor management and the lack of staffing.

If you have a membership to Sam’s Club, obviously you like it. Personally, I prefer Costco, but I have a membership to both. This is a nice new store with wide aisles and well stocked shelves. It’s never really busy, so you don’t have to fight the crowds. But, there is something missing with this store and I can’t put my finger on it. I don’t know whether it’s the merchandise display or whatever, but it just isn’t a real comfortable shopping experience. I can’t knock the products. They are all great. The employees are friendly and helpful, but there is just something missing. But, not enough is missing to make me drive to a less convenient Sam’s Club.

Left an item in the cart when I loaded the car. Realized it an hour later while unloading the car at home. I raced back to the store and asked at Member Services if the cart chasers had found anything in a cart and they had turned it in!!! It would have been easy for them to pocket or use as a Christmas gift themselves but they did not. Very impressed with their honesty!
