I love this place. The staff is very pleasant and very helpful. The food is great. The atmosphere is wonderful. I can confidently suggest the cat’s to any stranger as one of the best places to eat around

Good menu, pretty consistent. Only drawback is that there is a scary hostess some nights. not very friendly, head mostly shaved, what hair is left has funky colors and they’re are plenty of piercings. Probably not an issue, if she was friendly.

I like the fact that it is an old Railroad Hotel, like the Banner in Rockland MA, but it was just ok. There were no draft beers, and when I asked the waitress which of the bottled craft beers was the most local, she had no idea. The Magic Hat Grapefruit and the Edmund Fitzgerald Porter were quite good regardless. The Four Star average may be because it is a Wasteland out this way, nothing but cornfields, but as compared to places back home, it is a Three.

We stopped here after a day at the PA Renaissance Faire and it was a perfect way to end the day! The atmosphere was quiet and quaint and the staff was very friendly. I got the flyer chicken sandwich and my husband had the blackened salmon, both were ready very quickly and they were delicious!

Great food but slow and inattentive service. The manager had to stop by several times to make sure we had everything we needed as our server was MIA. Great theme and menu!

This place has a great Roaring 20’s atmosphere, great food, reasonable prices, and great specials!!! Live music every night at 9pm and cool décor! I would definitely recommend this to everyone. Britney was our waitress and she was wonderful.

The filet was disappointing. For $ 29.99, there should have been a bernaise sauce with the shrimp and crab. There was no flavor and salt had to be added. I would not recommend this place.

The Cat’s Meow is a neat place to dine. The atmosphere will send you back a few decades, and the menu will bring you back a time or two. This restaurant puts a great deal of effort into their nighty specials. They offer a wing night, burger night, and there’s even trivia just to name a few. While not everything you order is as good as you may expect, if you speak with your server and play to their strengths, I can guarantee you will enjoy your experience. Personally, I recommend the wings and nachos, but everyone has their preference. Try them out and see what you like. It’s always a good time in the roaring twenties.

Great eclectic little place. Went here for Valentines evening. 2 floors. Top floor is smaller and better for a more intimate dinner. 20’s style theme throughout. Very cool. Open floor plan on first floor. Staff is very friendly. They were busy but never showed it. Good was hot and perfectly prepared. I had the crab cakes which amazing. She had the crab stuffed flounder which was also great. Cool drink selection. Will definitely go back.

I gotta tell ya, sometimes you just want everything to be right… This is the place! Great atmosphere nice friendly servers and the food is delicious. Try the J. Edgar, it will knock your socks off! Burgers are solid and the lunch specials are unbeatable. Like 5.50 for soup sandwich and salad. Packed at lunch!

Went with a group and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. We did not like having to walk through a crowd of smokers on the porch, disgusting. The French Onion soup was very salty but everything else was good.

The food at this place has been abysmal for the last 20 years and tonight I found a cockroach in my vegetable soup. No manager or cook made an appearance. Instead they let the bartender deal with it. I have a photo to prove it.

Boom!!! The cook is amazing as the Halibut was perfect and the Grilled Liver & Onions was surprisingly moist and very tasty:-) The tab IPA draft beers were great. I shall stop in again during my travels as the service was outstanding! Thanks, Chicky from Hibbing, MN.

The wings were crispy and so good, we had old bay. I ordered the Packard Dip, please do yourselves a favor and get it!!! It’s the best, I can’t stop thinking about it! They also have a pulled pork sandwich that is killer! One crappy thing is soda isn’t free refills. I think it’s odd but I’ll stick to water. The staff is great and always nice!

Dinner was so good I forgot to take a picture. Shrimp clams scallops and jumbo lump crab over pasta in a light red sauce with a little bite to it. SOGOOD. it was a special. Loved it! Always excellent.

Let me just start by saying this was an AWESOME experience. I was in town for the weekend and have a friend that raves about this place. Went to check it out with some friends, and it certainly lived up to its name. The place has a VERY cool feel to it. A kind of roaring 20s railroad hotel. A very vintage, yet classy environment. Seems like there were lots of regulars. I noticed the wait staff/management conversing with lots of people as if they knew them. After this experience, I can see why my friends have raved about this place. The experience started with a prompt greeting from our waitress, who was quite the looker. The restaurant was packed, yet she managed to make us feel like we were her table. She was cheery, made conversation with us, and everything seemed to be well timed, which I DIDNOT expect judging from the crowd We started with the Spicy Chicken Wings. Pretty good wings! They came out shortly after we ordered them, and were pretty darn good! I ordered the Boardwalk Empire. I’m a huge fan of fish, and love trying different preps. I try to get something seafood or steak whenever I visit new places. This plate was AMAZING! Wish I lived closer so I could get it again. Hats off to the chef. I wish I would have been in town longer. There were quite a few things on the menu I would have liked to have tried. Overall, GREATPLACE. If I ever find myself in Penn for whatever reason, I will def be stopping by again.

Safe menu with food that is smothered in sauces and cheese to hide the food cooked underneath. menu has not been updated since at least 1990… The food is chain oriented — large menu with many preparations of the same basic food groups. For this caliber of restaurant and the price point — very good. Servers are friendly and are knowledgeable fo rthe most part. Although not familar with a certain vodka, the server was kind enough to bring over bar manager to help me with my selection. For that — KUDOS! One point of contention… smokers in the entry porch is really not ideal… I understand though — no real place to go with them. Will return!

The Cat’s Meow was pricey for the quality of food that we were served. I think this is a good place for drinks and apps. The ambiance was stellar, it was like being transported to the 20’s, I loved it, made me want to smoke a long filtered cigarette and throw on some red lipstick. To eat I had the crab cakes. They weren’t that good, I only took a few bites. I looked around at what everyone else at my table ordered and it none of it looked appetizing. I could see how this is the best place to eat in Manheim though. I think the other option was a subway.

I was back East for work doing training about half a block away from the Cat’s Meow. When I first heard about it, I wasn’t sure what to except from eating there. This is a really old cool building with a ton of History attached to it. The staff was really friendly and great service back there. They greet you then seat you really fast. One thing I liked about this place is the selection of food they offer you on the menu. Even the daily specials you can have. I ate there 3 days in a row for lunch. Really enjoyed the soup that you can get normally any day. I had a burger one day, chicken another, and some kind french dip the last. All were really good I must say. Check this place out if you’re ever in the area. Lunch time gets pretty busy as well when I was there. But a ton of room for people, so you shouldn’t have a problem.
