This place is great, my hairstylist listened to exactly what I wanted and I left the salon very happily. The staff is very friendly and attentive. $ 35 for a cut wash and blow dry is not bad at all, I would definitely come back.

I follow Jay wherever he goes. This man knows how to cut and style your hair to perfection! He has not disappointed me yet and I don’t think he ever will. I’m extremely picky about my hairstyle and Jay always exceeds my expectations. There was minimal wait time for shampoo & wash(5−10mins on a Friday night) and almost no wait time for the cut. Jay is attentive to detail and takes the time to listen to your preferences unlike other hairstylists. My hair is extremely long(waist-length) and pin straight with a side-swept style. I desperately needed to change it up with something that had much more volume and movement since my current style was too long for me and disheveled. Jay listened to my hair complaints and worked his magic. Within half an hour, I had a beautiful layered cut that softly framed my face without too much thinning or extreme edges. It is GORGEOUS! I usually hate the cuts I receive and never go back to the same hairstylist if they do not impress me. Jay is impressive and I will continue coming back. My hair is now lighter without the heavy weight from my previous long locks complete with more volume on the top and sides. Total price was $ 35 for the cut and wash which is standard for long hair, price was fair. I could not be happier and will definitely return. Ask for Jay, you will not be disappointed!

Found a groupon deal for a blowout session with shampoo and deep conditioning for $ 27. I come in and show the cashier my groupon purchase and was immediately taken to the wash room. I told the stylist about the groupon, and he then asks if I wanted a blowout after the treatment. Isn’t a blowout included in the groupon deal? «No. Only shampoo and conditioning. Pay extra $ 18 for blowout». He said. I pointed out the groupon which states ‘BLOWOUT session with shampoo and deep conditioning’. They then tried to tell me that it means that they will blow dry my hair(partially dry) & not style it. Wtf. Then don’t write blowout session and try to fool the customers into thinking that they are getting a great deal. I agree to the extra $ 18(had plans that night and had no time to style my hair). Blowout was subpar. They used the moroccan oil deep treatment on my hair — which I could have done at home. As I am about to pay the $ 18, the old lady in the front then gives me the receipt for $ 27 + $ 18. Uhhh lady, I already paid for the 27 dollars through groupon. «What groupon?», «No, groupon», she says. She then makes a scene and calls over the hairstylist because I refused to pay the $ 27. What a shitshow. I showed my groupon to the hairstylist and they apologize for the mess. They seriously need a new cashier lady because she can’t yell at customers just because she disagrees with something. Overall, never coming back. The fact that they trick you with their groupon deal and the lady in the front — not worth the trip and time!

I’m still in the process of looking for my go-to hair salon, so I gave this place a shot. It’s a pretty decent place, and definitely very interesting… The reason I gave 3(.5) stars is because this is the first hair salon that I’ve ever been to that cut my hair… before asking me the type of style that I wanted. Now I’m pretty careless about my hair, but I still want to know what’s happening to it! And so I waited for a good 8 minutes into the cut before asking my stylist what they were doing. The woman, I believe her name was Sharon(?) replied that she was trimming my hair down to my current style. That’s okay, but what if I wanted another style? Don’t get me wrong though. Sharon(?) was very kind, and she did spend a lot of time on my hair. I guess I’m just not entirely satisfied with the ending product of my hair. Price-wise, Hair Line is relatively cheap. Wash, Cut and Style was $ 30 in total, not including tips. (Side note– A+ for their hair wash! If this review was based on the hair wash itself, 5 stars. Best scalp massage ever.)

I went in for a hair treatment(aka deep conditioning treatment) and haircut. This salon is about a year old so I sensed that they were really trying their best to please me. The hair stylists were very friendly and were certain to make sure I got the hair style that I wanted. The establishment was clean and the prices were decent($ 35 for wash, cut, and style). I couldn’t shake the feeling that they were trying to sell me products but they weren’t overly aggressive. I wouldn’t say this place stands apart compared to other Chinatown hair salons that are equally clean, friendly, decent, etc. But I think it deserves a try. I will probably go there again and maybe revise my review depending on the next experience as a non-first timer.

A great new establishment in Chinatown. Ask for Sunny and get a digital perm for $ 250.
