Came on a Sunday afternoon. Seating by the door got a little cold. All the perched seating was taken so I sat at the only available seat at a lower seating space available facing the window. I like the wooden wall with glowing light behind it. I don’t like that most if not all these Chipotle restaurants now need a code to enter the restroom. The young lady taking my order had a smile and was very pleasant, got my order right and as diners were finishing eating the tables were wiped. Tables and soda fountain/condiment area were clean. I always notice people ordering bowls and I always order the burrito, so I ordered a bowl. I can now say my first Chipotle bowl experience was had at this location. I’m not scared of carbs, so I think I’ll stick with the burrito because it feels like it fills up my stomach more. What does everyone else think? You get more in the bowl or the burrito? Anyway, pretty average experience except the bin of Barbacoa was running low so I ordered something I knew I shouldn’t have because I knew the quality wasn’t going to be good: cubes of steak, instead of my normal Barbacoa/Carnitas. The Sofritas was piled high, guess Chipotle customers don’t really come for tofu? The bins of steak didn’t look too appetizing, a bit dry. Same taste in the order, the cubed steak is not very flavorful and a bit dry. I’m not expecting filet mignon but for the price, yeah, works for me with all those add ins like salsa, guacamole, sour cream and corn mixed in, etc… Even though Chipotle has slumped a bit I’m still a fan ever since my first experience in 2004. And this location is Andrew approved.

I love Chipotle but this one is a hit or miss, depending on your server. Usually, things are okay. But there’s this one server, who I’ve seen talked about in other reviews, who will only give you a pinch of everything. I ordered a bowl and by the time she filled the end of it, it was less than halfway full, even with all of the toppings I’d ordered. I noticed she gave me like ¼ a spoon of rice– I’ve never had that little, even with the many stingy servers I’d had. Usually when I ask for extra rice, they give a good amount. I asked for extra rice, and she gave me a good TABLESPOON on the side. I wish I’d taken a picture of it because it really is as unbelievable and ridiculous as it sounds. Same employee– will decide when your order is done and pretend like she didn’t hear you when you say you’re not. It’s so strange, especially when you’re barely at the salsa section and she just closes your lid all of a sudden as if you’d said you’re done. Really annoying and I don’t know if it’s personal. But as long as you avoid her, the thin, middle-aged Hispanic woman with the accent, it’s ok. I’m just going to order online from now on.

I had to repeat myself over 3 times for the employees to understand me. I think the biggest problem is that they give the smallest portions. They gave me literally half a scoop of everything and asking for extra meat and paying more money for the same mediocre amount of chicken is just not worth it. I had way better experiences with Chipotle, but this one is a no.

Service is pretty awful. There are two locations within several blocks from one another and the other isn’t any better. The workers are always chatting or eating the food — sometimes I wonder if THEY own the place. It’s really disappointing since I love Chipotle but the service here just doesn’t do the company justice. And it might be a mental thing, but it definitely makes the food less appealing.

I had an awful experience attempting to order lunch this afternoon. It was 2:30 in the afternoon and there was no one else waiting on line so it’s not like they were overworked or anything. I went up to the counter and asked for the soft chicken tacos. The girl shouts at me «SINGLEORDER?» I was confused by what she meant and said«Huh?». She said, clearly annoyed, «Do you want one order of that? It comes with three tacos.» A weird thing to ask a customer, but whatever. I said sure. Now usually when they make tacos, they usually first ask you if you want rice and beans. She skips right over that, sliding the tacos straight over to the meat and starts scooping steak inside them. I said to her that I had asked for chicken. She responded«No you said steak.» I know that I said chicken and repeated myself that I had wanted chicken. She again said«You said steak.» At that point, I literally threw my hands up said«forget this» and stormed out. No way was I giving them my money after that awful service. Fortunately there’s a pizza place right next door.

Second time in last 5 days they don’t have pork?! How does this happen? They only sell 3 meats

I used to work a few blocks away and used to frequent this location. There always seems to be a line at all hours of the day given its location, but the staff is fast and efficient. Lines are usually to the door, but it moves fast and I typically get my order 5 min after coming in. Efficient staff. They never gave me issues of getting extra’s of some toppings, as I have experienced in other locations. Pro tip: order online for pickup. Skip the lines and go directly for pickup at the register. My office is 4 blocks from their store, I almost always just place the order and walk straight there, my order is always ready by the time I there. I’ll always be a fan of chipotle, but service at this particular location is definitely the better of the ones I’ve been to. PS: sbux is right across the street incase you want to pair your bowl with a refreshing frap during hot summer days

Lettuce was brown & every single bite of steak had chewy fatty gristle. No matter what I’ve tried here it’s all been very bland. I’d rather eat a feast like the King of Taco Bell for the same price.

We love our chipotle! I would love it even more if they turned down the music but hey… Got used to it.

C’mon. I used to go here 3−4x times a week. This place used to be on point. The rice is now overcooked, the steak is way to overcooked. When I ask for extra peppers I need to ask for extra peppers twice. I really don’t think the lettuce is fresh and the extremely short hand of guac. This place is beyond a rip off and I can assure you the Chipotle on 59th is 100%. I live next door to this place and rather walk 7 blocks to get Chipotle before I eat here. It’s that bad.

Pretty decent and line moves quickly. Although some of their staff members are not very good at listening since I clearly said black beans and they gave me pinto. They also don’t strain their beans enough because my burrito bowl ended up pretty wet at the bottom. Although some of the people who work there aren’t stingy at all since they gave a generous serving of cheese and sour cream! Really depends who’s scooping your fillings. Overall an okay Chipotle.

Sehr unfreundliche Frauen.

Chiptole is delicious, but it really depends on who is preparing your food because there’s this spanish woman here that really skimps on EVERYTHING. Like. does it get taken out of your paycheck or something? Otherwise, the other people working here are great and don’t skimp. It’s almost always busy because it’s right by hunter college, but the line goes by fast.

After hearing about the whole chipotle craze I had to try it out myself. People around me either loves chipotle like there’s no tomorrow or says there’s nothing special about it. Since it was my first time here, I was a bit lost while ordering. But the employees are so nice and friendly :) I ended up trying a chicken bowl with brown rice, all the toppings and extra guacamole. I have to say it did taste pretty good. $ 11.50 was worth the big generous portion they served me. I ate half and had to wrap it up. There was so much dog poo In front of the store that I started feeling grossed out so I had to leave. But it’s not the store’s fault I guess

STINGIEST location of them all. I’ve been to at least 10 different chipotles around NYC and I swear this chipotle, usually a specific employee, would give me a «pinch» of each ingredient and at the end, I had HALF of what other chipotle would have served me.

Went in here for some food log, and I got a burrito. It was much smaller than other Chipotles I’ve been to in Manhattan, but it didn’t taste bad or anything. Ambiance was nice and it was clean.

I’m not sure why this Chipotle has such low ratings, but then again, I always take my food to go. Chipotle has become my go-to spot to pick up dinner before my evening block of classes. I usually get the burrito bowl with chicken and lots of condiments. It hits the spot every time. It’s usually packed, but the line moves fast. I have no complaints.

THINGSTOKNOWBEFOREYOUGO: 1. This chipotle sucks! 2. Sadly I am forced to come here since the distance to my school is literally blocks away so when I am in a rush I grab a burrito. 3. They have a sign up saying they are currently using«locally grown» meat or something of that nature! So much for the whole«organic grass fed chipotle thing» 4.DONOTDONOTDONOTLEAVEYOURBAGALONEFORTWOSECONDS! While I was eating this guys bag got stolen! Sadly I didn’t know it was the guys bag and watched someone walk out with his bag(I didn’t know who was the owner, until this man came out of the bathroom pale asking if anyone saw his bag!!!) supposedly not the first time this happened. 5.No security cameras next to eating area. 6. Very small Chipotle literally sitting on the person next to you. 7. Staff is «okay»

I don’t usually write reviews for chain fast food places but I had such a horrible experience at this Chipotle that I felt it was my civic duty to say something. Gross gross gross! Came here on a Saturday afternoon with 5 other people and we all had the same dismal experience. 1. Dirty. No one is wiping down the counters or sweeping trash up from the floors. You’ll have to clean your own space if you don’t want to eat someone else’s crumbs. 2. The food preparers do not care or listen to what you are saying. They might ask if you want white rice or brown rice, but they will give you whichever they feel like. They might ask if you want salsa, but they’ll already have put it on without hearing you don’t want spicy. My sister ordered a burrito and got the wrong kind of beans, got unwanted cheese, and unwanted salsa. The server clearly did not give a sh*t. Every time they made a face when she brought up the fact that all these things ended up in her burrito. Rude. 3. Guacamole was brown. Mine was brown, my fiancée’s was brown, everyone’s was brown! I paid extra to have gross stringy guacamole sit in my burrito. Definitely not up to regular Chipotle standards. 4. I saw a lady refilling the forks: She grabbed a big handful from under the counter, dropped a bunch on the floor, picked them up, and stuck them ALL into the bin. GREATFREAKINJOB. That’s it. Don’t eat here. Go to another one where people actually care.

The food is typical chipotle grub you see at most of their chain stores. What really impressed me was their customer service! The people working here are sooo nice and lively! They work extremely fast(a great thing cause this place is packed for lunch to mid afternoon). Yep, amazing service, can’t say more.
