This place is amazing. Melissa Ivy cut my hair beautifully. I didn’t even know what I wanted going in, and she chose something wonderful for me. Price is great too.

I had my hair colored and cut by Sam yesterday and it is everything I wanted. He understood exactly what I was asking for which was a blonde lob. I’m in love with my hair now and can’t wait to come back!

This salon is TOP notch! I was in search for a modern, relaxing, and most importantly, QUALITY salon with great customer service. After looking at Marcela’s photo’s I booked an appointment for a cut. From the moment I met her in person I felt relaxed and welcomed by the whole staff (the owner Joel was extremely friendly as well). We discussed all options and loved hearing feedback on what might work best for my hair type and lifestyle. She gave me an AMAZING cut and really listened to me — she even spent time giving me tips on how to style the new cut. Thanks again Marcela!

My original hairstylist is on medical leave for 3 months with an unknown return date so this gave me the opportunity to try another place in the South Bay. I am a nervous person when it comes to trying new people for hair services but my experience with Danielle was really good. She is talented at what she does and made me feel comfortable and at ease.
I went to Danielle with grown out highlights and wanted a natural looking soft ombré (sombre). Something low maintenance that will still give my hair dimension without the crazy sharp contrast that some ombres can look. I also wanted my hair in a long bob where I could still put it up in a bun with bang pieces short enough to fall around my face but long enough to pin back behind the ear if I wanted to. Danielle delivered everything I asked for. My grown out highlights are now blended in nicely with the balayage highlights she gave me and I dont have to worry about going back frequently for upkeep. Lastly, I liked that she used highlift colors on me instead of bleach which minimized the damage to the hair from the coloring process.
Good experience and I look forward to visiting her chair again. Also she is so pretty! Having someone so pretty working on your hair is also an enjoyable bonus. :D

I had walked by Six Degrees Salon (as my dentist is close by). I had been driving to Venice to get my hair done, I live in El Segundo and wanted to find a salon closer by.
My cut and color done by Tracey, she first listens to what you want, before she starts, a huge plus! I was extremely happy with the results and would definitely book an appointment with her again! The salon is peaceful and tastefully decorated with easy street parking.

I’ve been lking for a new hair salon but was SOOO SCARED to try a new salon I’ve been with mine for 20 yrs & needed a change I found Six Degrees on Unilocal I put in the search Box 5 star hair salons in Manhattan Bch and lk at the reviews & a lot of them were about Marsala how good she is with five star rating, so I thought I’ll just go for it what the heck !!! Marsala cut my hair and I LUV IT !!! She’s really nice too. My next appt she will be doing a bayalage ombré I’m SOOO EXCITED to see how it comes out !! SOOO for now I give a 4 star THANKS Marsala

This review is long over due!
Marcela has been doing my hair for about 2 years now and I couldn’t be happier. Marcela really listens to what you want and also gives her ideas so that you end up feeling like the best version of yourself. What is also amazing about her is that she can really manage how your hair will look as you are in between colors. I am graying early and as my roots start to show the gray is really masked.
I also live in San Diego and travel a lot for work (yes, that is how good she is!). For those with a hectic schedule, you can count on Marcela to work you in as soon as possible!

Let me start of by saying that I am a guy and I hate getting my hair cut. I think it is uncomfortable and it feels like a chore to do.
But, ever since I started seeing Danielle at salon six degrees, getting my hair cut has been a pleasure. She really listens to me when I say how I want it to look and knows, more than I do, how to make it look the way I see it in my head. Also, if it wasn’t wired, I would just go and have her shampoo my hair everyday. She massages your head and helps me to feel completely relaxed and comfortable. It’s amazing!
She is also able to cut and thin out my hair in a way that makes it look better longer, somehow. Normally, I would look like I need a haircut every other week, but the way Danielle is able to thin out and cut it, it looks great for a least a month!
I can honestly say I will never get my haircut at another place or by another person other than Danielle at salon 6 degrees.

I am new to Manhattan Beach and was reluctant to leave my hairdresser in L.A. as I’d been with her for a decade plus and adored her. BUT… getting a cut, highlights and a blow-​dry takes a lot of time, and the hour commute each way was a killer. I bit the bullet and booked an appointment at Six Degrees, an easy walk from my house. I was lucky enough to be aligned with Marcela Cabrera, who is a wonderful delight. She is the sort of happy perfectionist who gets giddy making you feel pretty, oh so pretty… I simply love my new cut and color. Joel and Freida the owners are equally wonderful and it’s so nice to find a new home for my hair.

Marcela was excellent. She took the time to curl my hair after cutting and styling it. She fixed my badly damaged hair from a dye job from a previous hair salon I used to go to. Definitely heading back there in the fall:) quite a unique experience at this boutique salon. I’ve never felt so confident about my hair!

In addition to being one of the sweetest, caring and most patient peoole I know, Marcela knows what she’s doing when it comes to hair! I feel like I learn something new every time I see her. She is constantly educating herself which is a huge sign to me (and should be to everyone) that I am in good hands and am never going to leave with less hair than we discussed or have an out of style cut and/​or color. We’ve tried a few different styles and color options (I went from partial highlights to balayage, layers to blunt) and I have always left looking and feeling fabulous. She also does lash extentions which was a huge confidence booster for me. I feel like I could run to the store with no make-​up but not feel like an alien, and taking pictures isn’t an excruciating experience anymore. Love you Marcela!

I’m always looking for someone who can do good hair! And I have tried so many places, but no one can do quite what I want. Well, I have finally found the place and the girl. Marcela took the time to find out exactly what I wanted and then she delivered.
I wanted to lighten up my hair but I was a little worried that it would turn out orange. Marcela assured me that it would be subtle and just enough blonde. She did babylights and I love them. I can’t wait to go back for more. She also did a great cut with long layers, which gave my hair a great shape. Best of all my hair is not damaged from the babylights.
I also loved that Marcela took the time to curl my hair and give me the salon experience. I walked out feeling like a new person! Go see Marcela!

This place is absolutely amazing!!! Everyone who works here is super friendly and the vibe is just awesome! Ask for Marcela! She used to do my hair at a different salon by my house and I was so upset when she left. Thank god I got in touch with her and followed her here. She was the first person to ever color my hair after a really bad experience and I could not be happier… She is so talented and will be super honest with you. She is the only stylist I trust with my hair and I am super picky!
I hate getting my hair done or pampering myself for that matter. I am inpatient and do not want to sit there. Marcela makes it so much fun it’s like hanging out with a close girlfriend! Do yourself a favor ladies and make an appointment with her today! :)

OMG I’VE FINALLY FOUND A HOME FOR MY HAIR!
I went for root touch up, hair cut and major thinning of my hair and peek a boo hair extensions.
Sam was the one who did everything and I give my man MAJOR points because dealing with my hair is like working 4 people at the same time. I have ALOT of hair and he has made my dream hair come true!
So the hair cut was awesome, went to the store afterwards and got 4 compliments on my hair.
I have alot of hair and he thin it out and my hair feels even and light (which is what I wanted)
I also got blue peek a boo hair extensions (10 extensions total) and I LOVE THEM they are so cute and adorable and fun! The maintenance is so easy (you basically treat it as you would with the rest of your hair, nothing more)
The location is clean and cute, cozy and comfortable.
Price wise for what I got was really good.
I would and am going to refer Sam to all my girlfriends!

As a transplant new to Manhattan Beach, I heard good things about this salon and can say all good things are true!
I have now been in 3 times and continue to rebook for color & cut. My pick is Danielle. Only knowing her a few months, I find her to be an amazing chemist at mixing color — hands down, great partial weave on my first visit!
Favorite part is Danielle’s scalp massage during shampoo. She also listens to what I want which is so important for me. I trust her to also try things. I came in today and decided I was ready for short hair. After having hair below my waist line for 4 years, Danielle did not flinch when I told her. She has an amazing personality and has the experience to make your hair appointment exactly what you want.
I am super happy with the rates for color and cut. Very reasonable considering Manhattan Beach.
Salon is simple and clean. Great hospitality with coffee/​tea and treats. Nice ambience and good background music. I also like that it’s 2 floors and breaks up the usual salon noise.

I ran behind the staff here during the Manhattan Beach 10K and saw their shirts that said «we run with scissors» so… I thought I would give it a try.
Had Danielle and was super pleased at the cut. She listened and then gave me some ideas on how I might change a bit (hey, I’m a boy after all… I can change!) and I loved what she did.
The space is super cool and the bathroom sink was my favorite stop of all. Yes, i took pictures to do it at home. easy parking and I think reasonable prices. 10% off to new customers which helps.
Not sure what other services that have, but everyone was very cool and friendly.
