Nekter Juice Bar

Love this place! They make awesome juices! Toxin flush and the little Beet have become my favorite. They also have great tasting protein poppers that are so addicting. And usually during the holidays, they gave great gift card offers

I don’t quite know why this place has less than 4 stars, but I think Nektar is pretty amazing. They don’t put any added sugars into your drink and its simply fresh juice. I also think their prices are pretty reasonable at $ 5~$ 7 for a drink depending on the size — while some might think this is pretty steep, I can vouch for this because I have a juicer at home and the cost of vegetables, fruits and the time, all add up. While I primarily use my juicer at home, when I’m busy, I think Nekter is a reasonable option because they use fresh vegetables and fruits and juice them right in front of you. If you want something fresh and want something that tastes like what you would have if you made it at home, I would recommend Nekter!

Boo. I love my fresh juice fix in the morning and I love Nekter… just not this location. The Toxin Flush was very thick; it tasted like it needed to be strained a bit more. And it was overly sweet today (perhaps a little heavy handed with the apple and not enough leafy greens)? Let’s just say my drink normally doesn’t taste like this. Also, service is poor (the girl didn’t even acknowledge me until 2 minutes after I walked in. I get it, you’re busy making a drink, but a simple «hi, give me one second» wouldn’t hurt.

This place is great after a run or day at the beach. I love that the juices are a healthier alternative to sugar packed smoothies. Tried this place twice in the last week since my first experience didn’t go as I hoped
Taste– Tried the Greenie and Sublime. Both were great and very refreshing. They also didn’t have an overpowering cucumber taste. I dislike when some juices only taste like one veggie but these were a perfect blend of everything together. They give you the opportunity to make adjustments to your drink as well.
Service — First experience didn’t go as planned. I asked the worker questions and for recommendations and he replied with he didn’t really like juicing and couldn’t tell me. Definitely surprising! At least he was honest but working at Nektar I would expect that all the employees at least taste test the drinks or have some opinion from what other coworkers tell them so they can provide some insight to customers. My second experience was much better! The worker gave input and recommended his favorite and also asked if I wanted ice (very important since it was so hot out). The friendliness and helpfulness of this worker changed my opinions of this place. Both times service was fast (5 min) and I didn’t feel rushed to make a decision
Overall drinks were great, prices reasonable, and I love that nutritional info is up on the wall. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the juices

You can’t go wrong with Nekter.
After my friends had me try it, I fell in like with this juice chain. The juice is freshly pressed in front of you or you can opt to get one of their pre-​made drinks to grab and go. Though this is the closest location to where I live, I try and avoid going to this Nekter on weekends & lunch time.
Honestly, if you’re at the beach, it’s a great location since its only a few blocks away from the pier, but if you’re looking to park… well, that sucks. I’ll only go to this Nekter if I’m already in the area or else I’ll spend more time looking for parking than I would making the juice myself.
Apart from that, the staff is always nice and friendly and they keep their store clean as well. There’s also a restroom inside (which is hard to come by unless you’re at a restaurant).

I recently bought a cleanse here with my husband which consisted of 6 juices. We ordered it online using a special deal they were doing which was $ 40 for a 1-​day-​cleanse and then went to the store to pick it up.
Most of them tasted awful but it did get the job done – definitely cleaned out my insides. I felt like all the toxins in my body were flushed out. My favorite juices were #2: Cucumber/​Coconut Water/​Pineapple and #4: Filtered Water/​Lemon/​Agave/​Cayenne Pepper which tasted a little more bearable. I actually couldn’t even finish some of the green juices because it made me want to gag. Are they supposed to taste this bad? :(Maybe I’m just not used to drinking fresh vegetable juice. I don’t think I could do another cleanse here but I’d be willing to try some of their smoothies and other juices.

Blended pink flamingo was pretty tasty. Good size. Nice that it wasn’t too sweet. Would recommend a juice instead though since they seem to better value.

One of my favorite juice bars in the area. However, the service at this location is SO SLOW!!! I’ve been to this location 3 times in the past 2 weeks, and even though they have plenty of people working, they are moving so incredibly slow. It’s almost bizarre. A green juice shouldn’t take 15+ minutes when there are only 2 orders in front of mine.
I hope they can speed it up, because I’m a fan of this spot.

I ordered an Acai Bowl to reenergize after hitting the waves! Utter bliss! The acai was not too sweet, the granola and coconut were perfect additions, and the fruit — fresh. The service was great. Employees were smiling, everything was clean, and order came quickly! I will definitely come back every week if I can haha.

Yes, the drinks and bowls are good… but it takes a really long time to get in-​and-​out of this place. Its clean, friendly, and priced well. A few more blenders would make me want to come back.

Stopped in for a quick smoothie after my daughter’s dental appointment. Clean, oozes of healthy, no wait, and my daughter loved her smoothie. Five stars for these guys.

Their smoothies are great! Tried the tropical cooler before, absolutely delish. And today I got the pink flamingo. Little lighter and just as yummy. That baby is Pink!
For some reason the place does not have air conditioning. Not really comfy for the guests that are waiting on sunny days. And I can’t imagine what is like for the folks who work there.
Overall I think this place oozes potential. However with so many alternatives just down the road they need to step it up. Renovate the bathroom and throw in air conditioning. Your customers will thank you!

Just tried this place twice this week. Apparently you have to have twelve thousand tatts in order to work there. Other than that it was a great experience! Place is clean just like the juice. They have a flexible variety of green based juices that are mirco nutrient rich. You can get a nice mixture of sweet and savory and their Zumex machines are super fast and efficient.
Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. They just need to tone it down with the ginger on the detox juice, other than that it’s fabulous!

Never in my life have I encountered such HORRIBLE service.
I came in during a lunch break over the weekend. The place wasn’t busy and I ordered a smoothie. Smoothie was good — very light and not too sweet.
As for the service, it was AWFUL. I placed my order and the total came out to be $ 10.11. I gave Kiye $ 20 and right when the cash register drawer opened I said, «Wait! I have 11 cents» and she had the audacity to tell me «Too late». No apology. Nothing. She was so rude and gave me the most awful stare.
I don’t know if she was having a bad day but you can never treat any of your customers like that. I am appalled with how I was treated and I hope management teaches their employees how to speak to customers. Worst service ever. Kiye should some training on customer service skills.

After several recommendations from a friend, I finally found a Nekter location! Nekter instantly gives me a Jamba Juice vibe with healthier, fresher options — sold! Unlike many other pop up juice shops, Nekter is a breath of affordable, fresh air. I tried the Pink Flamingo which I found absolutely delightful. Although, I was extremely disappointed that they were out of strawberries. Most of their smoothies consist of strawberries, so I found it odd that they would run out. That was a tad disappointing. Otherwise, I enjoyed the experience and will absolutely be back.
P. S. The people want MORE locations.

Came here for this first time to visit my friend. She hooked it up with the peanut butter bowl (cause she knows I LUUURVE PB), and that ish was bomb!
Bananas, strawberries, and delicious crunchy granola to compliment the acai bowl.
Can be a little loud in there when the blenders are all going off. Kind of hard for customers to speak with the cashiers to give em their order. All in all, nice place, great staff, delicious drinks and bowls!

I love acai bowls, so when I found out Nekter offers them, along with their juices, I had to try one.
I decided on the Acai Banana Berry (Acai, banana, cashew nut milk, berries, and hempseed granola. Topped with bananas, strawberries, and blueberries). My order took a LONG time to make even though there was only one person waiting for their order before me… AND there were four employees working at the time!
When I received my order, the employee handed me a CUP instead of a bowl. Confused, I asked if that was the Acai Banana Berry Bowl, since at first glance it looked like a smoothie. He told me that they had run out of bowls… how does a business like this run out of bowls?! Not only that, but he could have at least mentioned this to me when I was placing my order. Because the acai bowl was in a tall cup, I felt that they gave much less fruit on top than they would have normally given had it been served in a bowl. It was pretty difficult to eat, and I initially had a hard time getting to the acai without spilling all of the granola out of the cup. The acai itself was decent, but since I had to eat most of the acai before reaching the granola at the bottom, the granola got pretty soggy.
Overall, service here is terrible. Employees were very inattentive. They were too busy laughing and talking to each other in the back of the room that they didn’t even notice me standing at the counter for quite some time. Since the blenders are loud, it was hard to get their attention. All I wanted was a lid to try to contain this acai CUP I had received. I did not have a good experience here.

Well, when you need healthy… healthy is ready for you. Nektar is a pretty hip place for juices, smoothies, and light bites where all the food is pretty damned good for you.
I go there for the juice blends to get my fill of kale, spinach, carrot juice, etc. Most of the stuff is vegan, wheat, whey, dairy, and soy free (a.k.a healthy) and most of the juices even taste good. They have some interesting smoothies (I like the Popeye’s w/​spinach), and again they’re surprisingly delicious and calorie conscious.
Prices are a little stepp for juices and smoothies, with almost no boosted, blended drink coming in under $ 8 bucks… but if that’s your whole load of vitmans and healthy things, than its a worthwhile price to pay.
This location is a damned cherry right on MB Blvd, close to dozens of eateries, the posh Shade Hotel, and lots of street and structure metered parking. Plenty of pretty people to watch flit around eating and shopping, and lots of important people just go about their day (upon last visit I met LA Kings Coach Daryl Sutter, just chilling with his family). Manhattan Beach is a very vibrant area and Nektar fits in well…
Healthy…YES.
Tasty…YES.
Pricey…YES.
You should go once in a while… YES!
