I’ve used Manhattan Village Florist for a number of years now and always have had a great experience. Recently ordered a flower arrangement for my wife as we were celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary and it was just stunning and worth every penny.

Not happy with this florist. Arrangement is un-even. Flowers were cut very short and water was only halfway that some of the stems have no water anymore. Delivery was late. Lady I talked to not even willing to replace flowers even after saying I’m allergic to them. She kept insisting they have no smell when I can clearly smell the flowers! Do not recommend this place at all!

I have used Manhattan Village Florists for a few years now and I must say, they NEVER disappoint!!! My wife is always blown away by the arrangements!!! I will give them my business as long as we live in California!!! Nothing brings me more pleasure than to see my wife smile, and so far the flowers that come from this place have made her smile ear to ear!!! Some people have mentioned that they are over priced, but in my experience, you always get what you pay for!!! This florist RULES!!!

Terrible service, we paid extra for delivery before noon, when the delivery hadn’t arrived, we called and the woman hung up on us! Why not use someone who can deliver on time with a good attitude.

RIPPEDOFF!!! Over Priced, Over Promised. Over Sold. End result… Very disappointing !! Thousands of dollars spent & when the flowers were delivered it looked like she spent a couple of hundreds dollars… Beware all who enter that store… Ask for itemized printed receipt. And not on a napkin!!!

Worst flower delivery service in all of the South Bay. I was guaranteed my flowers will be delivered to my wife for our anniversary by 3:00 in the afternoon. Never showed up and I spent $ 135 for nothing. No excuses given, claims they can’t get a hold of delivery driver? Waste of time and money and ruined the surprise. Take this as a warning.

Terrible management and ownership. I called in on a weekday afternoon to place an order for 10 orchids in water tubes. I was told over the phone that, 1. yes, they had them in stock and 2. they would be able to complete the order in 20mins. When I arrived, the employee was on the phone because their computer system had gone down. While I was there, I looked at some of their other orchids, and finally decided on my order. I was told that the bouquet of 10 orchids was $ 50 by the employee, but after the employee consulted the manager(which I assume is the owner), she charged me $ 55. I assumed it was for a handling fee, etc. The employees seems relatively new and not sure how to work their credit card machine — but were very sweet and I wasn’t turned off by the service. This is where the business becomes shady — So, I get back to my work, and I open the bouquet only to find out that instead of 10 orchids, I was only given 9. I called back to inform them that I was shorted one orchid and the woman who answered the phone was less than apologetic about the fact that I was missing an orchid. I didn’t want to be difficult, but I had already driven 20 minutes in Manhattan Beach traffic, and I wasn’t about to drive another 40 roundtrip to get $ 5 dollars back. Over the phone, the woman stated that my only two choices were, 1. provide by credit card number so she could do a credit, 2. provide store credit. Now, I am not about to give my credit card info to some lady who answers the phone — and while I was advising this over the phone and checking my reciept, I asked the woman how much the bouquet cost, and she advised $ 50, so I asked her why I was charged $ 55? She stated that the $ 5 was for tax. Since when was tax 10% in Manhattan Beach, CA? Not to mention, I have never been to a florist that charges taxes — its always a flat fee. And I have no reciept, except for the credit card charges to show that they are doing this practice. Long story short — the business is shady and I am pretty sure did something illegal. I never did get my refund back and had to go without an orchid. two stars for the gals who helped me out though.

Patricia and I worked together for a wedding this past month and she was a pleasure to work with! She brought the brides vision to life and made it easier for me as the wedding planner! Thank you Patricia and hope to work together again real soon!

I’m a fan! Patricia was so wonderful to work with. I just told her the budget and the occasion and she did the rest. She went above and beyond to make something beautiful for us and made it very easy on me! I’ll be using them again in the future.

I wanted to buy a girlfriend flowers before we had lunch the weekend after Valeintine’s Day. She buys me flowers often«just because»(because she’s a great friend) and I wanted to return the favor. I searched Unilocal and found this florist right by her house and well-rated. I was impressed with the quality of flowers and how friendly the owner was. I didn’t want to pay for the really nice orchid cutting, but when I told her I found her on Unilocal and that the flowers were for a good friend, she upgraded me at no charge. Sweet! I will definitely stop by here and get my friend flowers again!

Manhattan Village Florist goes the extra mile to create the arrangement you want. I recently needed to pick up a small arrangement in an hour, for a 10 year old girl who has been having some medical problems. I didn’t have advance notice so I couldn’t order the flowers early. I called one florist in Manhattan Beach and the girl who answered directed me to an arrangement she’d already made that didn’t sound right for a child. She never offered to make a new one for me. Her attitude was bordering on rude. I don’t like to patronize places where the staff isn’t polite and accomodating. So I looked up the phone number of the Manhattan Village Florist. Patricia, the owner, said she could start the arrangement immediately and have it ready within the hour. I told her the colors I wanted, the price(which was less than her normal $ 45 minimum), she suggested a balloon, I picked it up within the hour and it was cheerful and adorable. Many years ago, Patricia’s shop used to be in the Manhattan Mall behind the China Grill. It was much larger. I received many gorgeous arrangements over the years from her shop, including some beautiful Japanese designs. I also bought many arrangements from her for friends. She always accomodated my requests and I always got a lovely arrangement or very fresh cut flowers. I lost track of Manhattan Village Florist when they moved. And I never found a local florist that I liked as much as her. I also wasn’t buying flowers as often. But now that I know where she is, I will always go to Patricia first to buy flowers. Whenever I can, I will order ahead of time so she can buy the flowers I want at the flower mart and not have to rely on only the colors or the type of flowers she has in her cooler. If you are a polite person, you will get great service and very nice, if not exceptional, flowers from Patricia.

The owner of this shop is awesome! She helped me with some hard-to-find flowers. Unlike another local florist who simply said it couldn’t be done, she said it probably wasn’t possible as they were out of season, but she’d try. She even knew what sweet alyssum and cyclamen were(they’re usually plants and not cut flowers). Only bummer is that this shop is tiny(meaning it has a poor in-store selection) and poorly labeled signage. But if you have time and/or a special request, go here!

I had the best experience at Manhattan Village flowers. I live in downtown, but since I was picking my husband up at the airport, I decided to get flowers locally. From the moment I called(it was a Sunday), I got the best customer service, I felt like they actually care! Upon getting there, I was greeted by a very knowlegeable florist, who helped me custumize my bouquet. They have a good selection, and are reasonably priced. Highly recommend it!
