Went for dinner last Sunday with an old girlfriend who dumped my sorry ass a few years ago. Our server was a real cool guy named Vinny(or Vinnie?) He was on top of the drinks and ordering; quick, but not pushy. While the lady was in the restroom, I told him my situation with her. He said he’d do his best to help me out, and he sure did. He was laughing at my bad jokes, and complimented my hair, just made me look really good in front of her.(I got a second date.) Great food, great service(try to sit in Vinny’s section if possible!) I will definitely go back again.

Overall great food options when you are not sure what you want to eat, this is my go to place. I love their tacos to pasta dishes, and the cornbread is a must try. I haven’t tried their grill cheese but it looks super yummy.

Very pleasant surprise, went for a lunch birthday party and even though I usually avoid MB Village(because I’m a little old school Porto guy), I was surprised 1) outstanding healthy salads with minie’s, ETC 2) surprisingly low prices($ 9 for large salad entry with all kinds of great stuff in it 3) mellow calm clean nice trendy atmosphere 4) great staff Room for improvement 1) no coffee drink prices on the menu

Brickworks located in Manhattan Village in the former LA Food Show space, the restaurant was updated and reorganized with good taste. With a huge central bar, communal tables, large patio and comfy booths the environment is warm and welcoming. Food is great, I love their Salad sections since they have lots of options to choose from. I normally sit at the bar and each and every time had a good service by the bartender. I have also tried their deviled eggs and Maryland crab cakes and both choices were tasty. Overall a great spot and location especially if you are already at the mall shopping and want to grab a bite to eat. Manager is extremly nice and attentive and he walks around and talks to everyone to make sure everyone is satisfied.

Was not impressed. Bartender service was not good. Walked by me 5 times before I had to speak up and stop her to get me a beer. Not even busy. Food was not quite mediocre(had the porkchop $ 24.95). Burnt on one side, pale on the other. Tasted ok. Served with some cubed potatoes. Disappointing. Will never go back. Many better options in the area. The poor service was the killer for me.

The baby back ribs were smoky and delicious. Bartender Kaylee was charming, knowledgeable about the menu, and provided excellent service.

Love it here their food is amazing those French fries are addicting the tomato bisque and grilled cheese yummy and their Parmesan crusted salmon melts in your mouth. Their service is spot on and they are so nice when I come in with my son. You know some places you go with kids you feel a little uncomfortable coz you feel them being judge about you bringing in kids to their restaurant well that’s not the case here very welcoming

Was hungry and decided to try something new. Brickwork? Sounds interesting. Decided to try it out. Entering the restaurant, the ambience seemed nice. Although the eh music seemed out of place, I would say the ambience was nice. We were seated and had a waiter who seemed to be bothered we were there. Each visit to or table was almost as though it was a mandatory scripted visit. Luckily the food was amazing. I tried the filet mignon tacos(ehhh) and my wife had the burgundy chicken which was amazing! Luckily the food made up for the service. I would recommend this place and hope you get better service than we did.

Went for Dinner last night and was not impressed. The Crab Cake was not a true Crab Cake, The Beef Jerky was a poor rendition of the Thai version which is much better a Sophys but much cheaper. I like my Rib Eye Steak but the Waitress didn’t even ask what I wanted as a side and automatically brought Potato Au Gratin which I can’t eat CHEESEOMG!!! really! Go to 555 Restaurant and study the steaks there. My Husband ordered the Brisket which came with a Hideous BBQ or if you can call it a BBQ sauce. Go to Naples RiB House and study that sauce. Waitress took forever to bring the check and didn’t not even offer to get my Husband something else oh wait, she did but it took her forever to get to out table. My Crème Brulee was NOT the best. oh well. This restaurant is over-rated. They need to fix the Menu or fire the Chef

This is one of our most favorite neighborhood«go-to» places! The food is always GOOD –and they have many low-carb options on the menu. The staff members are always friendly and very attentive. We’ve lost count of how many times we’ve been here and have NEVER had a bad experience!

Enjoyable meal. Service was excellent all night. Came here Saturday night. Greeted by a friendly host. Sat down in a side room. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant seemed like more of a large bar, but it was perfectly fine. Started with a bourbon cocktail mixed with soda and orange juice. It wasn’t my favorite drink to be honest, was a little too smoky nor did it mix well. That’s on me though for ordering bourbon. It was decent though, I’d drink it if someone gave it to me. My girl got a mojito and said it was delicious, albeit sweet. We started with the smoked Jidori chicken wings. I loved these. Perfect hot sauce glaze, and the blue cheese dipping sauce was great. Not too strong of a blue cheese component, so there was a good balance between the sauce and the dip. My girl said the chicken was too veiny, but I didn’t care. Meaty wings. I then got the barbeque bacon burger. Loved it. The meat was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Two large strips of applewood smoked bacon, cheddar, and a dab of barbeque sauce. The onions and tomato were under the patty. Nice soft bun. Great burger. Shoestring fries on the side that were good. My girl got the cider brined porkchop that came through nicely. The gratin potatoes were nice and creamy. Could’ve used more cheese, but the cheese that was there was good. Overall I liked this place. You can tell they use high quality meats. A little pricey, you don’t get the nice décor or ambiance, but you do get some good food.

Probably one of the best rib eyes I’ve ever had. Definitely on the same caliber of well known name steakhouses. The chef knew enough to let the beef be the star and the roasted garlic confit put it over the top! I also had the deviled eggs. Mmm… On top of all this, the service was amazing! I’ll be back again this weekend!

Ever since moving to Manhattan Beach, I’ve used door dash for take out almost every day. I have 13 hour work days which include the traffic from MB into Irvine and vice versa, so I don’t want to cook anything when I get home. I was craving some ribs and read the reviews for Brickworks. I decided to try it. I ordered the corn bread which is a must try! Now this was some bomb diggity yummy corn bread. You can taste the buttery crispness with the sweetness of the corn, I think there were jalapeños in them and cheese maybe?! It was good. I also ordered a full rack of their baby back ribs and brisket. The ribs were fall off the bone goodness. I loved the brisket as well. This was the first time I saw my BF almost devour everything. I should have ordered the deviled eggs, but I will definitely order from them again.

I went here for my fathers birthday. It’s got great ambiance and a great drink special on Tuesdays. That said, we didn’t necessily like the 1st drink we got. My mom had to send back her espresso martini because it was not very good. I got the NY steak which they overcooked at 1st but got it right the 2nd time. The tuna tartare was pretty good as was the tomato soup. All in all, I would try it again though I might order differently.

Had lunch here today, around 1:30pm. Food was fantastic, but the server SUCKS! Our server was JUSTIN. He gave the vibe like he didn’t want to be there. To make my first experience there worse, he took my plate and wrapped up my food, while I was still eating! That’s just rude! As soon as we were seated, within a couple of minutes, he wanted to take our order. We asked for a few more. Then he came back right away, so we ordered. I ordered the spicy crispy chicken sandwich, which come with fries. I ordered the fries extra crispy, but only a few pieces were crispy. The rest wasn’t, but still great. The sandwich isn’t too spicy. Actually, it wasn’t in the least spicy at all, but wow, delicious! The bread was like a fresh baked foccacia. The chicken is crispy and not too thin, on top of a raddicio coleslaw. In that one bite, you get crunchy, fresh, and a little sweet. Very good! My husband eats fast, so he was done while I was still working on half of the sandwich. Then Justin came over and asked if I wanted my food wrapped up. I told him I was still working on it, but I’d need a box for the other half. He said ok and walked away. Within minutes, while I was still eating(I eat slow), he came over and in a quick speaking voice, he said«You done with that, I’ll wrap it up». Before I could respond, he took my plate and walked away! I was pissed, but I wasn’t going to make a scene for that. He came back and put the box in front of me, and placed the bill on the table. My husband and I, so far to that point, had a bad day. So we wanted to take our time during lunch and just sit and talk for awhile. Well after my husband paid the bill, we sat for a bit talking. Justin came back and offered my husband another glass of water. You could tell he was hoping my my husband would answer«no». My husband said«sure», and Justin had this look on his face like«Aww man!». I honestly don’t care if Justin had his own drama today or whatever! This is his workplace and he should leave his problems at the door and be a professional! I loved the food and the ambiance is beautiful. They look to have a full bar and the kitchen is open, so you can watch them prepare your food. Food = awesome!!! Service(basted on Justin) = horrible!!!

I almost don’t know what to write for fear of seeming insincere. Lunch on Friday was great, the food was great, the environment in the restaurant was great, and the service was great. Prices aren’t for the bargain minded diner but good food and a good time costs some money. The blue cheese bacon burger was a taste sensation. Everybody makes one but this was better than most. Meat was cooked exactly as requested. Fries were yummy. Everything I saw going to other diners looked good too This was my first time but certainly won’t be the last!

Just happened to be at Manhattan Village and decided we would give them a try, no waiting for a table on a Friday night which is always a plus, Carlos was out waiter and was spot on the whole night, each course was served at just the right time, drinks were always full and we felt as if he was really interested in the wife and I enjoying our meal, At some restaurants you get the feeling that you are intruding on the waiter but not a Brickworks Roasthouse and Grill, watching the other diners in our vicinity it seems that all of the staff is as attentive as Carlos. For starters we had the Clam Chowder, really loaded with clams and other goodies, just the right thickness and very flavorful. Followed it up with a couple of PERFECTLY cooked prime rib plate with Mashed Potatoes and veggies, To finish everything off we had the Jelly Donuts, which are actually sugar covered doughnut holes that you dip in Chocolate, Strawberry and raspberry preserves, so if you don’t like your donuts filled you can dip them in you choice of sauces. Price for 2 with dinner, drinks and sweets was less than $ 100.00 Overall a four star experience with an extra star for the outstanding services of Carlos and the other waiters and waitresses that we saw during our visit(most os the star is for Carlos because he really took care of us)

Good for a business lunch. Portions aren’t huge but they’re presented nicely and the food quality is what you’d expect in this price range. Good for: business lunches

My family and I used to come to this location when it was LA Food Show, so when Brickworks opened up, we decided to give it a try! This restaurant has a nice ambiance with an interesting sectioning of the main dining area from the bar and outdoor patio. Service: The service here is great! Our server was really friendly and checked on us often to see how we were doing. Since it was our first time here, she even gave us a run down of the menu, as well as some suggestions. Food: — Parmesan Crusted Salmon — Served with spinach and mashed potatoes. They give a pretty large piece of salmon, and it was cooked perfectly! A slightly crisp crust on the outside and super moist on the inside. I really enjoyed the mashed potatoes – so smooth and creamy! — Certified Angus Prime Rib — Served with mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, and Yorkshire pudding. I had a chance to sample a couple bites from this plate. The prime rib was tender and juicy. The creamed spinach was pretty good, but I wasn’t a fan of the Yorkshire pudding. I guess it’s good for soaking up all the juice though, haha. — Burgundy Mushrooms — These are SO good! Served on a large skillet with lots of mushrooms, these are quite rich in flavor! — Roasthouse Clam Chowder w/Bacon — Rich yet smoky. How can I go back to eating clam chowder without bacon now?!
