Pelican’s Snoballs

I DID a review a week ago and it disappeared! I guess I was too enthusiastic. However, of all the people to whom I introduced to this place, all agreed that it is the best product and snowball «facility» ever. Wouldn’t call it a «stand». Great snowballs, games and play area for the children and a nice, clean restroom. A new benchmark for snowball «stands».

Sorry John B, but according to my granddaughter «this place sucks»! There is not enough syrup! She actually showed me by hollowing out the center. There was a small amount of syrup on the top (down to the top of the rim of the cup) but the rest was just ice. AND it cost about $ 6. Don’t know if this is a chain, but they definitely can’t be serious. Sorry but don’t waste your time & money.

The ice is powder soft, not crunchy at all. They fill the cup with ice to a pointed cone shape. Then, they pour on the syrup. Next, they finish with a rounded scoop of ice and more syrup!
Cup sizes range from Kiddie ($ 2) to Avalanche ($ 5). The kiddie is much larger than those of other stands. I had the regular size ($ 3) and that was more than enough for me.
The syrup flavors are great! I had the Creamsicle, which is the Dreamsicle syrup with cream added. Yum-​o! The nicely notated menu makes it easier to make your choice. There is a wide variety of flavors (over 100!). The dill pickle flavor is next on my list.
The area is nice, as they have a fenced play area where the kiddos can play while you wait in line. There is limited seating, but high turnover of tables.
Expect to wait a few minutes, as they have only one ice machine. Our wait was about 10 minutes total, so not too bad.
This is definitely a new favorite for us!
