Horrible!!! As much as I want it to be better, it’s not. Gone there several times and food was dry, cold, hard. Said we would never go back but sooner or later we seem to end up there, willing to give it another try. Went there for lunch today and asked if the fried catfish/shrimp remoulade special was still running. The guy behind the register says yea, I can do that for you. Well out comes 1 whole piece of fish, and 2 small pieces. I’m not sure it’s catfish cuz the fish looks different from before. The shrimp remoulade is warm. The lettuce is brown. The garlic fries are ice cold. I’m like oh no I am not eating this!!! The waitress come by and says do u want a box for this? I said no. Well was everything ok with it? I said no. Well can I get u something else? I said no. The only redeeming qualities of this place is the free ice cream and drink refills. This time I will never go back!!! I’ll keep my $ 14.99 in my pocket. I liked it better when nohsc was only hamburgers with the dress it yourself it bar.

My fiancé and I came here to enjoy a dinner for the evening. I got thin fried catfish platter and she got thin fried catfish with gumbo meal. First off, they bring hers out and it looks like a child’s plate! Small tiny pieces of fish. Mine comes out and looks borderline ok but pieces of fish were again, tiny. Well we tasted it and it was cold and old. Bread was hard and not good. So needless to say we had to do something we never do and do not like to do and that’s complain to a manager. So we did and of course it was not solved properly. We paid over $ 31 for these trash meals. They take $ 10 off for hers and gave me a gift card for me to get another thin fried catfish platter. Manager knew neither one of us were still satisfied. She still refused to give us a full refund claiming I ate a lot of mine which I explained to her I did not. So we walk out here throwing away $ 20 and hungry. Oh I’m supposed to come back and use gift card and get ripped of twice?! I totally do not recommend this place it’s a complete ripp off. Beware of places like this where you pay before you eat. Lesson learned and for others sake, be advised and please eat elsewhere.

Came in at exactly 8:55pm and was told by two young men behind the front register that they were CLOSEDAT9pm… I even checked before we came and the Saturday hours posted says they close at 10pm. We were turned away along with about 10 people behind us. Not good business when you don’t honor your posted business hours! Those guys just wanted to get out early bc it’s a Saturday night… NOTCOOL. We will not be back, taking my business elsewhere.(See screen shot pics of hours)

Friend and I ordered 2 platters. Hers came out. Mine came out 10mins. later. What’s with that??? I had the thin catfish which was so thin you were eating 9/10’s batter. So you think you’re getting a lot of catfish but you’re getting maybe half a filet just shaved paper thin. The hush puppies were so dry and flavorless they weren’t edible. I wouldn’t go back if they fed me for free!

We used to get NOHSC every Sunday for football… until last week. My wife & I ordered Hamburgers & fries along with an order of Chicken tenders. The hamburger bread was stale and the meat wasn’t that good. The meals look like they were thrown together in a hurry, it just looked messy. We asked for two sides of honey mustard, two sides of ranch and two sides of cocktail sauce. We only got one honey mustard, no ranch and no cocktail sauce. My wife called the restaurant and the very rude ‘manager’ answered the phone and said the he packed the meal personally so he’s surprised anything was missing. When my wife corrected him on the sides received and his response was«so what exactly to you want ma’am» at which point my wife hung up on him. Bad food and worse service. What used to be a decent place has become a low class low quality piece of you know what. That ‘manager’ is lucky that he spoke that way to my wife over the phone because if he would have given her attitude in my presence I would have done a lot more than hang up on him. If there is an owner reading this post just know whoever was managing at night on 11÷29÷15 is mean to customers and refused to resolve our complaint.

Yumm!!! Great salads, poboys, hamburgers and fries… all that and ice cream too! The only thing I would suggest would be if you get a salad have them put the dressing on the side. I eat salads for their low calorie count… So when they pour on too much dressing it defeats the purpose(although it certainly is yummy)

Service is okay considering you order at the counter and then they bring it to you. One of the best veggie burgers I’ve ever had!

Crawfish Queso outstanding ! Anything that we ordered fried was VERYOVERCOOKED. Cashier/Waitstaff were less than excited to be at work the day we went and it took a substantial length of time standing there waiting for the cashier before we helped.

Hamburgers are tasty. French fries are great. Free ice cream is a real plus. $ 6.99 for regular burger and fries. Just like most places, preformed frozen patties. Much tastier than most places. I would go back.

Ordered take out, got home and wrong poboy was in the bag. Went back to get the correct poboy and when I got it home the fried green tomatoes weren’t cooked properly and the breading was still raw. Won’t be dining from here again.

Ordered boudin balls = worst ever tasted! Red beans & rice — taste frozen reheated and never cooked right in the first place. Catfish po boy was awful also not cooked right. Will not be back.

Our first time ordering to go at this chain and we got a lot of food for what we paid. We had two gumbo, one cup and one bowl. The cashier told us that the cup was 5oz and the bowl, 10oz. When we got home, the cup had no shrimp but the bowl was chockablock with shrimps. We also had the bayou pasta and the creamy sauce was just right and not too thick. Again a generous amount of shrimp and crawfish. My order of blackened fish sandwich was well seasoned and delicious with onions, lettuce and avocado. Took a star off as they forgot to pack paper napkin and disposable cutlery.

I ate here and go the shrimp platter, which was excellent. My fiancé got a catfish and shrimp platter, which was really excellent. The fries that came with the seafood was extra tasty too. The staff was friendly, and if we’re back in the area we will return.

This is a decent Cajun spot. Not quite the extreme flavor’s you find in New Orleans proper, but a good substitute. The appetizers are great. It appears that there is no waiter until after you order your food and seat yourself. Then he pops up and handles your drinks. I wish I had known that before I came so that I could have brought cash for him. Even though he doesn’t do much.

Me and my husband ate here on our way back from Hammond — our first time at NOHASC and we were really pleased with the food and the service — My husband got the seafood platter and it had 6 different items for $ 20 and was enough for 2 people — I got a club sandwich and side salad for $ 10 and both were very good, also a side of fries and those were amazing — we tried the teas but they were not fresh and had gone sour so we chose soda instead — my husband also got a Gator bites appetizer with pepper jelly — I don’t eat gator but tried the pepper jelly and was amazing — The free soft serve cones were a surprise, how often do you see a restaurant give anything for free? — and it wasn’t that offel ice milk mix, it was real soft serve — we will visit again with friends and family —

The guys working the front were helpful and nice. The restaurant was clean and in order. I purchased the«Southern Thing» and enjoyed every bite of it. The green fried tomato was a nice twist on a poboy.

I enjoy the food here. On this last visit I had the single decker club sandwich which was really good along with the garlic and herb fries which were also really good. It was $ 9.95. Not TOO bad. My sister had a cup of potato soup, a single decker club with a tea to drink and hers came out to right under $ 20. $ 5.95 for a cup of soup and $ 2.50 for a tea! All I can say is wow! They do give you a free ice cream cone though and the ice cream is really good!

A Cajun theme Rest. The thin fried catfish with onion rings were good. But the $ 2.50 for a soft drink I thought was ridiculous! The hamburgers looked great but a little pricey. Everything on the menu looked good! We were there early before 5:00 pm and it was great! We walked in they were friendly and helpful. You order at the counter and choose your seating. You get your own drinks. But we took our menus to the table to look over since it was our 1st time there and the waiter answered our questions about the menu and was exceptionally helpful and nice and even invited us back for the Mardi Gras Parade!

New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood company offers great food at reasonable prices. Upon entering, you place your order at the counter, get a number and pick your seat. Drinks are self serve as is the post meal soft serve ice cream dispenser. On our most recent trip we ordered a guacamole burger and a roast beef po-boy. Both items come with their garlic fries which are pretty good. The roast beef po-boy was good but the bread had sesame seeds. My po-boys don’t need seeds. Hamburgers need sesame seeds, not po-boys. The burger was properly cooked and loaded with guacamole. It was very good. Other highlights of their menu include catfish(thin or thick fillets), the 100 shrimp po-boy, and all types office po-boys and burgers. Their food is consistently good. Service has been good, but for the most part you make your own drinks so the server really just brings your food to you. There is nothing wrong with this method, and it works well. I never know what to tip at a place like this so I went ahead and tipped my usual 20%, but felt strange about it. If your in the mood for a good reasonably priced meal, you will not be disappointed here.
