I lived at Vintage for 2 years, my bf for 4. There has been a serious turnover in management… previous management started changing a year ago and has gone downhill ever since. The units are in need of upgrade and repair even though at quick glance they appear to be nice. Rent is expensive for the area(although it is one of the better complexes in Manchester). Parking is abysmal at most buildings and management ignores/evades federally mandated ADA accessibility issues. Snow removal is atrocious. Finally, I was just sent a «final notice» for a water bill of less than $ 10 with a threat of collections and i moved out all of 2 weeks ago! Beware. …they are nice and accommodating at first but attitudes change once you’re there.

The worst place I’ve ever had the pleasure of NOT staying in. My girlfriend rented a place here and I visited her very often as I work out of new haven and the Hartford area. They harassed us about my coming to see her. The maintenance crew are super creeps, you see them filling there trucks with old tenants appliances they may have forgotten to take. They talk loud in the morning and stare at every female that comes by, The office is never open when it should be. Forget getting your packages. The cost of this place is astronomical and my fiancé stayed for two years. Each year they wanted to up the rent. Mind you she was paying the most as she was living in one of the only two condos. The staff is friendly when you move in. But when you move out forget about it. They will keep your deposit in limbo for MONTHS. And on top of all that a women was murdered here and when we asked about it they acted as if it. Ever happened. After we saw it ONTHENEWS. By far one of the worst places ever. Don’t do it people. Save your money and try aspen woods or some place else.

I’ve lived at Vintage at the grove for two years. Pros: The newest property in Manchester. Apartments are well maintained. Noise… there is none unless you’re in the halls. I live in a dog building and I hear nothing from my neighbors. The maintenance team is awesome. The office peps are always friendly. My apartment is huge. Cons: Parking. You can rent a garage and we do but a lot of people use their garage for storage and parking next to your building can be a problem. More so in the winter because of snow. Rent is not cheap. You pay for the«newness» of the property. The appliances are basic at best. I’ve lived at all three Tolland Turnpike complex’s…out of the three(Aspen Woods, Vintage, Waterford Commons) I’d reccomend Vintage first due to it being new though Waterford has a great indoor pool…

I lived here for over a year and I love it. My apartment was big and beautiful. Maintenance was amazing, very quick to respond and friendly. The community is small there so you have a very personal experience. When I moved out(relocating for a job) they were totally cool about it and didn’t bill me anything afterward, and I pretty much just broom cleaned it before leaving. It is one of the most expensive apts to live around there but I thought it was totally worth it. I lived at the Pavilions before there, and the Vintage is 100 times better. I actually really miss it there!

Renters beware! They are going to woo you and make you believe that you are moving to paradise, and yes the apartments are nice and pretty but… the buildings are poorly made, they fail to remove snow and clean up in a timely manner in the winter and once you give your notice not to renew your lease they treat you like shit! Also, make sure you get out your toothbrush and rubber gloves when it comes time to move out because they will charge you if its not spotless! Not a great experience — save yourself some money, and a lot of headaches — move to the Aspen or Pavillions properties!
