I love Sam’s Club so much. The Manchester Store is Always the Best. Last Time, I was with Grandma at Sam’s Club for Shopping and Free Samples. Sam’s Club was started 32 years ago with the first location of Midwest City, Oklahoma. I have been there to Sam’s Club of Manchester with my family for years. Sam’s Club is Always Cool. At Sam’s Club, We have an membership which is pricey. It’s an partner of Wal-Mart Stores, founded by Sam Walton. Free Samples with Food are the Best, Prices are Pretty Good, Frozen Food Selection is Cool, Brand New TV’s are the Best, Books are Pretty Cool, Café is Very Good, Pharmacy is Not Bad, Bathrooms are Pretty Good, Tire Center is Cool for Getting New Tires and Repairing Tires There, The Bakery Department is Very Good, Houseware Selection is Pretty Cool, Cake Selection is Not Bad, Seafood Department is Good, and other Selections of Sam’s Club are Much Better. At Sam’s Club Café, We have the best rotisserie chicken around here, Very Good Pizza, and Pretty Good Sundae there. I am going back there to Sam’s Club very soon in the future if you have an membership(costs pricey with renewal price). Very Good Shopping Experience with Warehouse Club Stuff. Very Recommended for my family.

Store is very clean and organized(despite ongoing store renovations.) My only issue with this location is the food counter, usually two people working, and not often than not the female is doing nothing to serve customers but she is on her cell phone and counting the clock. 7minutes to get a pretzel(and they are good)

Sam’s in Manchester is a great club and I have been a member there for 25 years. Overall I would say the prices are pretty good. However lately I have been noticing some problems with their pricing. I compared Mobile synthetic oil at Walmart and then at Sam’s. The Walmart was $ 25 for 5 quarts while the Sam’s price was $ 35 for 6 quarts. Do the math, Walmart is beating Sam’s on this. And I thought it was the same company. I know some things I buy are good prices like milk and eggs. I also recently bought a large sreen 60″ Panansonic tv and the price was about $ 100 less than other stores. Overall I’m pretty happy with it but I’m going to be paying more attention to prices over the next year and possibly consider a switch to BJ’s or Costco if they don’t hold up. I do like the fact that they accept all returns no questions asked. I also like their selection of vitamins and health products. Their tire department does a decent job too.

Sams is the mosh pit of big box stores. The parking lot is high noon in action. The produce is riff with fruitflies. The baked goods are a mixed bag but the prepackaged baked goods are on the whole total garbage. The meat is maybe okay. Tread lightly and carefully in that area. The store is depressing. It’s badly lit or maybe it’s the fluorescents or something but the lighting is poor. What you can see quite clearly is the store is sloppy and dirty, period. Some areas like canned or seasonal are okay. Some areas like fresh are terrible. Really really terrible. PARKINGLOT: Not enough spaces close to the store. This is not the kind of parking lot you want to be slowly sauntering through. The driving lanes are narrow creating their own issues. One must constantly look for and worry about: a) hitting a mindless pedestrian who will not think twice about walking in front of you as you enter, or behind you as you back out OR b) unsupervised children OR c) being mowed into by an idiot who can’t bother looking as they pull in or out. FRESHPRODUCE, MEATS, BAKERY: sometimes offer okay qualtiy at okay prices. I will give Sams credit for their chuck roasts — well priced and generally okay. It ends there. I won’t buy any meat at Sams if I can help it except an occasional chuck roast or their rotisserie chicken. Prepackaged meats are worrisome and have a strong smell of taint. PREMADEMEALS: so salty you’ll require a gallon of water to prevent your head from exploding and stablize your careening metabolism. CUSTOMERSERVICE: awful, long wait, BUT can’t blame the people working there. They seem to want to help but their system is strangely antiquated, with old beige DOS computers from 20 — 30 years ago. WHATSPASSABLE: The cell phone area and sometimes the electronics have decent prices. But their selection is a strange mix of new and outdated and most of the smaller accessories are shoved into sloppy piles so they MIGHT have something you want if you dig through the mess. Rotissierie chicken is very good and cooked through, so its a safe bet. The seasonal like garden or holiday can be fun but are definitely overpriced when they first come in, in spite of the quality which isn’t particularly stellar. But they will mark them down as the seasons progress. Clothing — good prices. The packaged, canned goods with no expiration dates are well priced. Automotive and cleaning goods aren’t bad, prices are good. CHECKOUT: as nightmarish as the parking, the lines go on forever. SNACKAREA: is disgusting. Fried bread? Isn’t that what’s killing Native Americans? The workers at the snack bar are either in your face indifferent or overtly beligerant. I don’t know if it’s the misery of the job or the salt in everything they touch that seeps through their skin to addle their brains. I don’t want to seem mean or dismissive but this can happen — perfectly decent people who end up in this no man’s land becoming les miserable zombies. The soda machine is always sticky, disgusting, lopsided and is usally missing syrup or ice or both, not to mention the top where they put in the ice so it’s open for anything to fall into, fly into, hop into. The condiments area is filthy with strewn about condiments everywhere. The tables are usually dirty. DIRTY. You’re SUPPOSED to wipe down the tables every so often. If you are starving, stick with franks. They’re boiled and not the worst in the world. And you may not die. (Last but not least) THEBATHROOM: I don’t have any idea what the men’s room looks like but the ladies room is unbelieveabley stained and dirty and broken down and drippy and sticky with unspeakable things crusted on the toilets AND seats and there’s garbage on the floors AND it’s small. I could go on and on but I’m making both of us ill. TRULYTRULYTRULY. YOUDONOTWANTTOUSETHIERBATHROOMIFYOUCANHELPIT. I’ve never seen anything like it. NEVER! Not in the latter 20th century. And hopefully never again in the 21st at least not in this country. In certain third world countries, this might be acceptable.

Bought a ½ sheet cake for a birthday party. Ordered a chocolate cake with whipped topping on a cake that fed around 35 people. Also had a photo placed on the cake with a chosen design. This cake made by Sam’s was excellent! It’s hard to choose a sheet cake because they are either too expensive, don’t feed the right amount of people or can’t have a photo placed on the cake. This cake fulfilled everything! And for only $ 19.87! Amazing deal! Highly recommend and will order my cakes here in the future. Cake was so moist and was delicious.

We did the $ 100 plus membership in 2010 and it wasn’t worth the extra $ 60. Save your money too! The coupons they offered didn’t even come close to $ 60 to make the upgrade pay for itself. Also, while the additional hours were nice, it wasn’t worth it. We have downgraded back to the basic annual membership as it continues to be the best value. The IPhone Sams App is pretty good, but it could be better. It does navigate easier than their website, so you can get a much better feel for the plethora of goods actually sold through this company. I still prefer this particular Sams Club to any other that I have visited in CT.

I completely agree with Adrian!(and can’t believe I never thought to Unilocal Sams Club!) This is my fave Big Wholesale place, much better that BJs or Costco. Better selection, the online website is great too and offers waaaay more than the store. Some stuff you can order online and pick up at store… Have had a Sams Club card since around 1991 or 92. We have always had excellent results with everything here, from electronics to tires to books(cant beat the book prices!) and of course the food. And you cannot beat the prices on everyday household goods… We regularly stock up on TP, paper towels, Kleenex, Poland Springs Sports Bottles… the only thing that would make them more perfect is if they offered Seventh Generation products in the stores.
