Not sure what is wrong with this O’Charley’s, but each time I’ve visited, the experience has been bad. Most recently I was there with three coworkers on our one-hour lunch break. The seats were mostly empty for noon on Friday, yet it took 10 minutes to meet our waitress, another 10 minutes to get our drinks from her, and another five minutes to get rolls but only after we asked. 15 minutes later she brought our soup and salad followed by our food literally three minutes later. One person found the steak she had ordered as medium was actually very well done. It took about 15 minutes to get a properly cooked medium steak replacement. We had to keep asking the greeter for refills and bread. When another in the party came back from the restroom, she warned the rest of us to wait until we got back to work because the conditions were deplorable. When we finally saw our waitress again, we had to ask for our tickets. She brought them but then disappeared. We had to ask for the manager to tell him she had overcharged us! The whole awful experience lasted about 1.5 hours for an order of soup and salad, a club sandwich, a chicken pot pie, and a 6 oz. medium steak with smashed potatoes. The only reason I am scoring two stars instead of one is that the manager apologized and did not make us pay for our meals because of all the reasons listed above. From now on, we will go to Farmer’s Family Restaurant just down the road. It’s cleaner, faster and cheaper and has better service and selection.

Celebrating my wife’s birthday today, she wanted to go to O’Charley’s to eat. The service was terrible! Our waiter’s name was Sam and he was making jokes and trying to be funny, but he was very rude and irritating instead. It took almost one hour from the time we placed our order until we got our appetizers. Our dinner rolls were cold and we had to ask for additional rolls. It was almost thirty more minutes after the appetizers were brought to us until our main course dishes were brought out to us. The service was terrible and the waiter was very rude and inconsiderate. Update: Within a few hours of submitting my original review, I was contacted by a representative from O’Charley’s requesting my contact information, which I reluctantly provided via an e-mail. The next day I received a call from the restaurant manager(Linda). She was very concerned and apologized numerous times during our conversation. She listened to my explanation of what had happened and assured me she would address the issues with the waiter who had served us. I am very confident that Linda was genuinely concerned and handled the situation with the person who served us. I also want to add that my family and I have eaten at this particular O’Charley’s numerous times and this was the only time we ever had experienced bad service from any staff there. We will be returning to eat there very soon. I also updated my rating to 4 out of 5 stars.

UPDATE The management from O, Charley, s called me today and expressed their concern with the food. Telling me that is not how they do things and they were very sorry for any inconvenience. It is nice to see this type of customer service. I added two more stars due to them contacting me.

Great standard American fare. I’ve had the Cedar Plank salmon every time I visit the area, and have never been disappointed. The Classic Con salad, Overloaded Potato soup, and Filet Mignon w/Garlic are also Great.

My wife and I used to be regulars here. We always received good service and the food was decent for fast casual. The lady manager always came by to check on us to ensure the food and service was up to par. Something changed at this location and it wasn’t for the better. I noticed a large turnover after they remodeled the place last year. The quality of everything suffered a bit, and visits from the manager no longer happened. This past June during the Bonnaroo Music Festival my wife and I plus another couple went there for lunch/early dinner. My wife and I both ordered salads. I noticed a dried mayfly in my salad. I picked it out and sat it aside. Then I found a dried moth. So my wife inspected her salad and found several dried insects in her salad. They were all mayflies and moths, the type of insects one would generally find inside of light fixtures. It appeared that they had changed light bulbs above the salad preparation area while salads were being prepared. I notified the server and she said that had happened earlier with another customer also. She took the salads and got the manager. He removed the salads from our bill, but didn’t seem very concerned and even acted like he didn’t believe us. I’m not sure why he thought we were being less than honest, we didn’t eat our food so we weren’t trying to get something for nothing. Plus we had been regulars there for years. We haven’t been back.

We stayed at the Comfort Suites and then walked over to O’Charley’s. I had the ribs and they were quite tasty! I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food as this was my first time eating at an O’Charley’s. Four stars for service(Amber was our waitress) and the ribs! Show your hotel room key and get 10% of bill!

I received an apology from O’Charley’s management for the poor service we received per our previous review. I believe the apology to be sincere. Since they did contact me and desire to do better, I must give them a better rating and would give them another chance to do better.

Quality of food and service was excellent. Establishment was clean with a good atmosphere. Some items did not look as big as pictured in the menu, but they tasted great even in a more miniature form. Left stuffed and satisfied.

I had a really nice meal here, when I was in town over Labor Day weekend. Nice ribs — would order those again. And hard cider was on the menu, always a plus for me. Good service, good food and a nice atmosphere.

Really underwhelmed. I haven’t eaten at one of their franchises in a long time, and now I remember why. The steak, appetizers, and soup all came out at the same time. The cut of meat was pretty aweful. The loaded potato soup tasted like fake cheese dip. I can probably say with certainty, that I will never eat here again.

We stopped in at this O Charley’s on a Tuesday evening. The place was not particularly crowded. The host sat us immediately. And we waited. While we waited, we were able to peruse the entire menu several times. We also noticed a table of four people who had been there before us. They had menus, and no drinks. They were waiting, too. After a solid five to ten minutes, the host came to them, apologized, and took their drink order. Then he took ours. And we waited some more. We got our drinks and he told us that the waitress was talking to the manager. We waited, and waited. Then the waitress finally came and took our order. Those other people got up and left. The man said they’d been there for 30 minutes. I’m not sure why the waitress didn’t care enough to go to them. A few minutes later the restaurant manager came by and explained that the kitchen manager had pulled the waitress aside to talk with her, and the host didn’t know. Apology, apology, let me bring you some bread. So, let us recap things. First, there is apparently no communication between staff and management there. Second, the staff really doesn’t really seem to care about things. Third, the management should not pull aside staff during their shifts unless they have done something critically awful. Anything else can wait. And if you must pull someone off, you tell another server to step in. The food was slow to come out. Way too slow for a salad, a small steak, and some chicken fingers. Especially when another table that came in after us got their food first. We don’t have this restaurant chain up in our state, and I’m glad. While traveling we like to try places we don’t have in our area. This was a big mistake. As we are driving through Tennessee right now and we see an O Charley’s, we now refer to it as NO Charley’s.

OK, so I dig O’Charley’s Pecan Crusted Chicken Salad… and I get it often. Was on my way from ATL to Nashville… and needed some dinner… low and behold… bang, there was O’Charley’s…cool! So…go in, order my salad… but…I like mine WITHOUT blue cheese. Oops… forgot that… they take it back and then it comes out again… with WALNUTS and not the PECANS… ok…this time I forgive… but, it takes them from 4 stars to 3 stars… for MAKINGITWRONG! But…it was still pretty good…

Post Bonnaroo drive resulted in a weary mix of tiredness and a drunken tired awake existence that only comes from a 13 hour drive, and what better than a stop into O’Charley’s to fix the food craving a man get’s after 13 hours. 12p until 3p you can order from their lunch menu, which offers deals on sandwich’s, soup or a combo of them. I tried their lunch sandwich paired with fries. The sandwich was good, large and had a lot of flavor, though basic it really was good and pretty large for it’s cost. The fries — were well, fries. Pretty good. Happy hour starts at 3:30p until 6p which made draught beers slightly cheaper than they already were. On tap there is no micro-brewed options, except for Sam Adams seasonal; everything else was Budweiser /Coors-Miller. In bottle there wasn’t anything else, either. To quince the thirst of everyone they’ve also added a full bar and wine too, with pretty low prices for mixed drinks and wine by the glass. Service was OK, we sat in the bar, were carded and sat and waited as we watched people around us getting drunk and eating, it took more than 15 minutes to bring the whole table of three people water and beer… Our server looked a little overwhelmed by the crowd of new hippies in her town. But i doubt this is normally how it is, just during this week in June, but I am sure service is normally great. In the end, the food was good, beer was cold and cheap and just a good place to visit any time for lunch dinner or a happy hour stop by, 3 stars A-OK.
