Primarily a guitar store. I was looking for an intermediate clarinet for my son, they had a promising sounding used instrument, but neither my son nor I could get more than a couple of notes out of it — something was wrong. They claimed to recondition it, but didn’t know it wasn’t usable. Probably fine for guitars, that’s about all you see when you walk in…

This place is great I bought two guitars here over the years. A Taylor and Les Paul both times the prices beat my expectations. Good guys, friendly atmosphere. Their website is not always current, but other than that it’s a great place.

My boyfriend bought me a beautiful Taylor acoustic guitar from here in 2011 and it’s one of my most cherished pieces. However, when a scumbag stole it last July from me and sold it back to music mill(with a full confession to me, the police and the music mill), they were not cooperative and seemed kind of pissed they had to give the guitar back up. I know it’s a loss considering they gave the desperate guy a $ 100 for a $ 700 guitar, but you lost a customer for sure. The two stars is for the guitar. It’s still bad mofo. I bought a strap, strings and new capo there a couple months ago and the guy helping me out was okay, but the staff and management who worked against me made me feel guilty for giving my cash to this business.

I visited Manchester Music Mill the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The store had some unique guitars and some solid bargains as well as a better than average choice of accessories for guitarists. The guy that helped me out was a neat kid with huge hoop earrings who was respectful, prompt and extremely knowledgeable. This is a very solid music store and is an outstanding alternative to Guitar Center or purchasing online. It is absolutely worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood. Why not five stars? I like a little more vintage and a little less new stuff. I also like to see the vintage/used stuff easily segregated from new product. This was just all mixed in and there was a ton of imported stuff strewn throughout. If they can get the mix correct and get it to where you have a cool vintage area and fewer Epiphone cheapies, be glad to push this up to a 5. Don’t let the last sentence deter you though, this is still a great place and I would buy a guitar from them in a heartbeat… Still thinking about a used Rickenbacker I saw there…

Walked in there to check out some pedals. Staff were very courteous(even though I didn’t buy anything) and were aware of which customers needed assistance. Their space is a little small for the amount of merchandise they have but its enough to have customers test out equipment. Will definitely try their guitar repair/setup services.

Good selection of merchandise in this tiny amd cramped little space. A little disappointed with the quality of used gear. Understandably it’s used, but some stuff was so beat up it should have donated to a school music program. In terms of sales staff, I have one piece of advice, let the customer play the instrument. After watching the salesman play guitar for 15 minutes, I left. The customer can only decide on a purchase after they actually hold and play an instrument. Crazy, I know. 3 stars is based off the fact that it’s one of the only local music places around. But with an experience like I had today, it may not be for long.

THRILLED to find this diamond in the rough! GC killed all the good stores by price, and now they are dying because of it… :-) Music Mill is a VERY long overdue change from the past 5 – 10 years. Professional sales people that are courteous and not pushy, beginner to pro gear, reasonably priced… Im thrilled to have found them… As to the ‘small new location’ review; i imagine it had to do with cost… Which ill take tighter quarters anyday over a big open space full of crap i dont care about… Aka: 17 colors options for $ 200 guitars

The new location is so cramped. Hard to even browse, everything is so tight and if a few people are in there you cant walk through the aisles. Pros — Nice guitar selection. Some nice rics and gibsons in there. Good amp selection too. Drum room is decent. Cons — Pro Audio is a joke here. Also I asked a guy where the keyboards were, he told me in the acoustic room. I went in the acoustic room and they had 3 keyboards 0-o. ehhhhhh lol. Its really just a guitar shop that sells some drums. Not a real full fledged music store. Dady’s always had a decent selection of keyboards, rack effects, mixers, drum machines, and other pro audio stuff. This spot is just good for guitars.

Best music store around. Great Product… Great Staff… Great Prices. They have a wide variety of new and used products. I’ve made a couple bigger purchases there and Music Mill has offered the best price. Don’t take my word for it… Go there, see for yourself. You won’t regret it!

I recently purchased an instrument from Music Mill online. Buying online can be risky as you never know what you are actually buying until it arrives. Well, sure enough the instrument I received was not as advertised. My fist thought was, was I scammed? Well it turns out to have been an honest error, and when I contacted Music Mill to sort it out, they could not have been more helpful. These guys really bent over backwards to make everything right, no questions asked. Mistakes happen and you can’t really fault anyone for an honest mistake. The issue is in how they act to fix the problem, and Peter at Music Mill was a class act all around. I would not hesitate for a minute to do business with them again knowing that they are dedicated to making their customers happy.

Fantastic selection and they have everything you could want. Doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or been at it for years. Joe Rizzo is an amazing drum instructor and will not steer you wrong!

I just picked up my electric after a set-up and restring and am very pleased. I’ve had a nylon string guitar restrung here, as well as another steel and the prices are very fair and work is superb. With Daddy’s Junky Music going out of business it’s nice to see a local business such as this one doing so well. There’s a large amp selection, and a variety of new and used equipment all with solid prices. It’s clear there is a lot of internet research/work done with pricing so I would trust that even the new buyer won’t get gouged.

The Manchester Music Mill is exactly the music store to off-set local rivals Ted Heberts(which has gone down hill ever since the original owner passed away) and Daddy’s Junky Music. The sales staff at the Music Mill really make the difference. They are helpful and not at all pushy, unlike those at the other two music stores in the area.
