Went there yesterday for my birthday with my parents and a couple friends. They had Prime Rib on special as both my Mom and I ordered that, My Dad and 1 friend ordered steak tips and the other had fried haddock. The prime rib was incredibly dry and had no taste/seasoning at all, the«garlic» mashed potatoes lacked garlic. We ordered the prime rib rare and it was far from that, the steak tips that were ordered were ordered rare as well and came out beyond well done.(almost unedible) one of the steak tip dinners was supposed to come with a baked potato and mashed came out instead. The broccoli. well that was probably«cooked» with a flashlight. not cooked but maybe a warm raw? It was awful to say the least.

Was charged 3.50 for extra cheese on slice that’s it and has local drunks that get served until they can’t stand and let them drive home nice

Undercooked and pricy food, Owner is a rude man and I have seen him belittle and berate his staff! Tiny bar, hosting older LCD TVs, Smells drift up from the floor, I drive by daily and see two cars how this place excists is a mystery.

I was staying at the Super 8 for two full weeks, and let’s just say I ate here 15 times. Yes, 15 times. What drew me here in the first place,(besides being able to walk from my hotel to the restaurant), was the $ 7 Lobster Roll. There are two different sizes, the smaller one being ridiculously cheap. I am from the West Coast so Lobster Rolls became my guilty pleasure during this trip. Charbel, the owner/executive chef, is a great guy. He would enthusiastically greet me by name, along with the girls who worked there, Tina, Heather, and Krystal, every time I stepped foot on the property. THISPLACEISGREAT. He is known for his Prime Rib, and after reluctantly going for it, I was NOT disappointed. His pizza has an incredible tasting crust, and top notch anchovies. His pickles are amazing as well. The menu has a little bit of everything, and that is what kept me coming back. If you are ever in Manchester, this is a place you have to try. The bar is always filled with friendly regulars, and they serve some delicious ice-cold beer on tap. One more thing to note, Charbel makes everything from scratch. Great to see places like this still exist. Well Done CD’s!!!

Discovered this place when I was working down the road a little and my boss and I ate out every lunch. I had noticed it because of the sign out front announcing $ 5 lunch specials, and floated the idea to my boss, who like me was all about cheap food. We were both quite impressed. I was impressed by the service, which was great, even considering it was usually just us and a few other people around lunch time. I was quite impressed by their fried haddock which was quite the huge portion considering the price. I also fell in love with their salmon. Their chef actually knows what«still bloody» means when it comes to steak tips, too. Not this cooked til pink in the middle garbage most places try to sell you as «rare» but PERFECTLY char broiled on the outside and nice and deliciously bloody red on the inside. Our coffee cups rarely were allowed to go empty, and I’m pretty sure the one waitress who was always there when we went has some sort of weird sixth sense on this matter because she never hung around creepily and wasn’t one of those annoying waitresses that needlessly checks in every thirty seconds like you sometimes find at places that don’t have many customers during the day. I swear, she ONLY showed up when me or my boss ran out of coffee or whatever else we were drinking. Needless to say we were quite generous with the tips, even considering the seriously low price for the food. We also discovered they do take out when the boss’s boss was in town and stamped her foot down on us going out for lunch. She volunteered to pick up, and we were surprised to learn they did takeout when we called to ask. They even gave us coffee to go! I’d definitely go back, especially for lunch and the early bird specials. Sadly, I never had any of the more expensive entrees there, but this would definitely be on the top of my list for a place to get a great bite to eat for any occasion in a quiet, relaxed atmosphere.

Charbel’s is back! The place is now called CD Restaurant & Lounge, which was formerly Eden Restaurant & Lounge and Charbel’s before that. CD is the initials of the owner named Charbel. The nice casual dining room is dimly lit and has comfortable table seating with high back chairs. The lounge area is very cozy, which has a full bar and TV with seating at the bar. There’s no flowered air freshener smell in the air, like I experienced dining at Charbel’s 5 years ago. Similar to the original Charbel’s, CD serves up Lebanese/Italian/American menu including steaks, seafood, chicken, prime rib, grinders, wraps, sandwiches, black angus prime rib burgers, pizza, calzones, pasta, and Lebanese fare(kibbe, stuffed cabbage, stuffed grape leaves, kafta). The prices here seem fair, sandwiches/wraps with fries $ 5.50-$ 8.25 and most dinners $ 7.95-$ 19.95. Specials are offered here including several $ 8.95 Early Bird Specials and $ 5.50 Lunches. A Kids Menu is offered too. I stopped in here for dinner recently on a quiet Monday night. The dining room was empty and there were a few patrons in the lounge. I was seated in the dining room and the solo bartender/waitress took my order. I ordered the Spaghetti with Sausage($ 8.95 early bird price) served with roll & butter, which was a big plate of soft cooked linguine, thick marinara sauce, and very soft sausages(very mushy texture) on top. This pasta plate was a standard and just enough food for a filling dinner. The service here was acceptable and I received my hot dinner in about 15 minutes after placing my order. The bartender left me alone while tending to the bar patrons for much of the time and I received my check promptly with no offer of dessert. I was all set and it was an overall decent quiet dinner in the empty dining room. I would probably return here again to order the stuffed grape leaves.
