Well another Saturday eating out we decides to try another dinner this week when we arrived it seemed busy though we were sat right away it took a bit this time for the server to come greet us we ordered drinks and looked over the menu this week we all ordered cheese burgers fries bacon cheese burger fries and some onion rings while we sat there waiting for our food to arrive the server seemed to go m.I.a. I needed a refill figured I had to wait till our food came the food finally came out it looked good I asked for a refill and started eating our meals I had to ask again for a refill the burgers were good but by this point I was a little irratated we finished up headed home. So the food was good dinner looked clean service wasn’t terrible but we defiantly were no where near as happy as we were leaving last Saturdays dinner think next week well go back there. Will not come back here. sorry

50’s themed décor, fast friendly service, extensive food choices, great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Delicious burgers, I tried the turkey burger topped with fresh spinach, very good! Comes with cole slaw & a pickle!

Great food Novice service(Poor) Priced right with Daily specials Nice atmosphere 50’s theme diner with a huge menu. Its tucked away in a strip mall, right besides a shop rite grocery store. Its an older crowd, but it comes with the territory. Its a classic style place. Breakfast is always good, but look for the daily specials. Most people were bring something home for a 2nd meal — good sized portions. Service was weak — young girls. Cash only.

Great food Great service Great portions. Always a good meal! Took my mom here for Mother’s Day this year and just went back for lunch on a Friday afternoon. I’m partial to their Greek omelette, it’s one of my favorite meals when made right, and they make it right. Everything is cooked to order. The homefries are brown and crispy when asked; so was my corned beef hash the last time. Will easily return again, this may be in a strip mall, but it is a typical diner otherwise.

With 50’s and 60’s music playing in the background, good diner food and fair prices complimenting the friendly service what else do you want.

Greatest breakfast ever! Haven’t been to JB’s for lunch or dinner yet, but I used to like IHOP, no more! JBs will be my new spot, it’s location is blah, located by Manchester Shoprite… I’ll be back next week!

I am glad to have found this place. The atmosphere is definitely 50’s themed, with records and car stuff throughout. A jukebox plays all the favorites of that era and I think you can even put in cash to select songs. This place is on the smaller side but you will forget that once you see their full sized menu. Burgers, steaks, chicken of all kinds and sandwiches abound. They even have a daily special menu for dinner and breakfast. Seat yourself anywhere you like, more likely wherever there is space. Grab a seat and a server will take your drink order shortly. The place is cash only, so make sure you got that before hand, it’s worth it. Whatever you order, you are sure to get your money’s worth. Generous portions, friendly staff and a fun theme add up to good times! Will be glad to return. Service 93⁄100 Quality 88⁄100 Atmosphere 90⁄100 Overall 90⁄100

This diner was a hidden gem! Great atmosphere, super nice servers and one of the best diner meals that I have ever had. You’ll want to stay longer to sip your coffee and listen to Elvis on the juke box.

This place was phenomenal. Food was great for a diner and the prices were cheap. The décor is well done. I had the 10oz burger but the rest of my party had breakfast and salads and they were all very happy. One of the better diners in NJ. Don’t be fooled because it’s in a shopping center.

My friend took me here, and i was surprised to see a 50’s style diner right here in manchester. The food was pretty good, and our waitress was great. I had a turkey wrap and some onion rings. The wrap was alittle dry but everything else was good. My friend said the shakes are great, so I will be back to try that.

I had grown up going to the car shows at J.B.‘s Diner in Freehold(back then it was just simply«Johnny B’s»), and always enjoyed it. Since moving to Lakehurst a year ago, I have had to expand where I go to eat and learn about my new location. I noticed there are a few more«chains» of J.B.‘s now, and have never actually tried any of them. The one I am writing about today is located in the ShopRite plaza in Manchester, however, I also know of one in Toms River over by Whitesville Rd. This location is small, but I was surprised by walking in and seeing that it went pretty far back. The counter with bar seating is small as well, but what is great about this whole location is that it really gives off the vibe that it’s a TRUE50’s diner. Now, I’m in my 30’s right now, so I don’t honestly know what that time was really like, but I imagine that joints like this were peppered all over the place, and were about this size. It gives off that«small-town» community feel-even though Manchester(to me, anyway) is huge! There is a small speaker outside that blares out classic tunes I am sure we have all heard about a million times-lots of Motown and Doo-whop music, and you can hear it from the parking lot. It draws you in… When you walk into the restaurant, you are very quickly greeted by a waitress, who will tell you to seat yourself. The décor is right out of at least 1957-all updated, though-very new, clean, and organized. It’s not too busy, and provides a sense of comfort and«home». My husband and I sat in the back of the place, and there was a new waitress to offer us menus. Not a single complaint could be said about the service. It was impeccable. The proper amount of time was given for us to look at the menus, drinks came out very quickly, food came out in perfect order. The menu is typical of any diner in New Jersey. Burgers that have PorkRoll on top, pierogi specials. but it also has the diner food you crave, like ruebens and all kinds of fries. I went with a California Burger and onion rings and my husband opted for the French Onion Soup Crock and a Reuben. As I said, food came out quickly, and I could tell once I piled on my toppings, that this burger was FRESHLY homemade, because it was juicy as anything and falling apart. I had to use a knife and fork to finish it. Very well seasoned, and the onion rings were made well to boot. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his reuben, and even let me have a bite-well, really, I stole one-and it was absolutely delicious. I know next time I am going to get it. For this side of town not having a whole lot, I would say that J.B.‘s Diner holds the same character, cuisine and service that I remember fondly at the Fossil’s Car Shows as a kid. Absolutely check it out if you are in the area!

Very good service and all food items were done just right. Really good portion sizes so be prepared to eat if you go with something like the ’56 Ford. Service was also fast. As for atmosphere, I think they nailed it even if it is located in a strip mall. Definitely plan on coming back with entire family. +1 for being Yankees fans!!! –1 for being cash only.
