Rarely do I write a bad review, but we went to 21 with 2 other couples, and it was a mistake. Half of their menu was unavailable, and when the food came out it was atrocious, to the point it had to be sent back.

An ok bar and grill. A nice place to go to at night for a drink. Always busy on the weekend and hard to stand with too many people around. Food is good and there is always live entertainment.

Where to begin… we had a reservation for 5 at 5:30pm on a Monday night to be followed by a Paint Night event starting at 7:00pm. We arrived and were seated on time. The place was practically empty at the time. They had ONE server on duty who we learned only started THREE days earlier! What kind of management staffs a restaurant with ONE server with THREE days experience? She tried her very hardest and was such a sweet girl we couldn’t be upset with her as this was the fault of management(who was nonexistent) not hers. We waited close to 50 minutes for our food and the guy who brought it out to our table from the kitchen couldn’t understand why we were upset. The food was ok, but not«had to wait 50 minutes» ok! We had to quickly gobble down our food to move to the area where the Paint Night event was being held. We had ZERO waitress service during the event. The restaurant sure list a lot of money because they weren’t properly staffed. We found out the restaurant is closing in s few days as its apparently been sold and will be undergoing renovations for about two weeks. One can only hope the new owners know something about restaurant management because it’s obvious from our experience tonight and the other reviews on Unilocal the current owners sure don’t!

Usually good, however, tonight I went with my husband and 5 year old son. We ordered a burger, chicken sandwich and a kids hotdog and waited an hour with no food. They had a party of about 20 people maybe and couldn’t accommodate cooking for them and the rest of the restaurant at the same time(which was not crowded). We stated we could not wait any longer and just want the check. They didn’t even comp our drinks! 1 beer and an apple juice! Very disappointed… and still hungry!

The waiting staff is great and the food but seems like management is never there… Or just doesn’t care?

Foods is still good and reasonable — just a note to the chef. When making bruschetta, you don’t use sliced garlic. I ordered the bruschetta burger and bit into large thick slices of garlic clove. I love garlic just don’t want to eat it in mass quantities on a burger. I reeked of garlic all night — on my date! Use a pinch of crushed fresh garlic please

Decided to come out because the burgers sounded incredable. Being black friday, we thought it would be packed it wasnt. We were informed that it was 9:45& it was last call from the kitchen. I ordered a, cedeer cheese burger, med rare, fries w/brown gravy & broccoli bites for an app. The broccoli bites tastes fishy. I think the oil was old, not sure. My burger arrived cold & we’ll done. The fries were cold & the gravy had a film on top. The cheese was actually gelled. I didn’t want a new meal, because obviously, the kitchen staff was in a hurry to go home, I didn’t want to hold them up. Out waitress couldn’t have been nicer or more apologetic. She felt bad about our meal being, well, not good. This is the second time I had a, bad dining experience here, I’m not sure if I want to give it a third try. Next time, I’ll go to surf taco.

New menu is is a lot nicer with some good options. Management seems very involved stoped at the table to make small talk and again to see how we liked the food.

Came in for Happy Hour and ordered one of their bar pizzas and a beer since both were half off. The pizza was flimsy and the beer came in a smaller than expected glass. The window between when we were asked for our drink a food order was pretty long, and even longer for the check. What do you get when you combine mediocre food, service, and beer? A 2-Star review.

We went here with friends last week, and the food was decent, but not great. Drinks and food, despite beers and bar pies being $ 3.50 and $ 5, respectively, weren’t very good deals. The craft beer drafts were in 10 ounce glasses, rather than pint glasses, so you’re paying $ 3.50 for a smaller beer. Not really a deal. The bar pie was a pretty resounding meh. The nachos we had at the bar while waiting for our friends were decent, and the wings were very good. The server and bar tenders were awesome, and the server actually warned us away from one of the soups — it was like corned beef and cabbage — she said it was really gross. This place could be a really cool spot, but their pricing stinks, and the food just isn’t that good. The inside is really nice, and the bar is pretty great, but other than that, it’s just a meh.

I was there in St. Patrick’s day and the place was packed. Fining parking on a Week night around 7:00 was difficult. I was meeting my date there and the fellow running the front house gave me a table right away and was very obliging about the several minuet wait until my girl showed up. The waitress was excellent swift and detailed. We split an appetizer which was a boneless chicken nugget with blue cheese and other sauces and they were very good. We both ordered entrees from the specials, corned beef and cabbage and Guinness stew. The corned beef although ample in size was really super dry very lean. The Guinness stew was fair to midland, nothing of a wow factor. With a class of wine and a Coors Light the bill with tip was just under $ 70 bucks this was really pricey for a week night dinner but I think the bar tab was the overprice culprit. On a date you don’t scrutinize the bill. The place is very nice inside and it seemed like a great crowd. Very family friendly in the dining area and TVs everywhere. Overall service and food delivery timing was pretty good. The down side is it was so loud in there conversation was difficult. The Rundown in my opinion is the place is just above OK, with decent surroundings decent service offset by average food and some overpricing issues. I didn’t look at the bill I just paid it but our dinners were around $ 15 each with $ 10 for the appetizer. A glass of wine and a bottle of Coors was pushing somewhere near $ 20 bucks. Unfortunately my date lives close and she likes this place so I’m sure I’ll be back.

I’m sorry, but 21 South just doesn’t seem to have a plan to take advantage of a prime location in a town that desperately needs something besides pizza establishments. From my past reviews you can see that I have tried, a number of times, to like 21 South. Our experience tonight makes me certain that the only thing I might go in for in the future is a beer since they have a fairly good selection of beers on tap. Tonight we had the Tomato Bisque, Broccoli Bites(bacon, cheese and broccoli) which were actually not bad at all, Broccoli White Pizza and a Loaded Baked Potato. Let’s talk about the food first. The Tomato Bisque was grainy and tasted burnt. The pizza was a total disaster — while the topping was quite good the crust was crispy on the edge and raw in the middle. While they gave us a new pizza I think they need to check their oven and also look into the procedure they are following when making this thin crust pizza. My wife had the baked potato and it tasted like it had been made this morning, if not yesterday. Full disclosure, both the waitress and the manager were very concerned and on top of the situation. The pizza was replaced and we brought it home. Hopefully it will reheat well. Like I said, the draft beer selection is pretty good but a glass a of J Lohr for $ 12.00 is outrageous in this establishment. I have paid less for the same wine in some fine, white tablecloth establishments. I hope someone from 21 South is taking the time to read their reviews and I may see them in the future — but not too soon. Our bill came to $ 58.00 and I would have been better off driving to a different restaurant.

This is a great place! Plenty of tv’s to watch sports. The evening I went, they had the UFC fights on and the crowd was nice. I highly recommend this sports bar if your looking for a night out!

Went one time. Ordered burgers before the next table was seated. They received their pork chops and we were still waiting for burgers. The waiter avoided us and when we finally spoke to the manager he was rude. Predict this establishment will go the way of the previous four or five

I have given this restaurant a great review before .I just had lunch there on Thursday. Great soup … Great Cuban … But was very very disappointed when after being away for two weeks. we returned for Football Sunday… To find that their 50 cent wings had lost considerable weight !!! There once perfect plump and juicy wings ! Now look like toothpicks !! Yet they are still charging 50 cents for. When I asked the waitress when and why this had happen. She lied to our faces and said«They changed the wings a week after they started the 50 cent and they are a better quality meat !!! Meat there was nothing to them ??? second. we have ordered the wings for Parties … been coming every Sunday for football Sunday! so please don’t insult me … I enjoy the food .I love it being around the corner. But super disappointed. that they changed our Favorite wings !! They are not worth .50

Gave this place lots of chances. Still not impressed. Menu looks improved and burgers were good. Fries were in a tiny dish, almost like they were trying to measure the portions? Impressed with the selection of craft beer but same as last visit I tried to order a second craft beer only to find out they were out of that one. Ran out of the one my husband picked also. After that disappointment I finally chose a different one and then it arrived in a plastic cup! Reminded me of a frat party. Not impressed with the plastic cups at all. I won’t be back.

I have been here several times since it has opened and I feel that they improve every time. My most recent experience I had the fish tacos, very good, and came with your choice of several sides. I chose the pasta salad and it may have been the best pasta salad I have ever had in my life. The staff is always phenomenal and the décor inside and out is top notch. We will continue to visit.

In its 3rd or 4th reincarnation, this spot has improved with a nice interior setting, large tv screens and some craft beers on tap. Now that the good is out of the way, let’s be real. We all know how this movie ends. I only went to the bar for a bit so I can’t judge the food/kitchen. They are still bringing in the same crowd: people that watch Yankees games then hang out after and women in cowboy hats who dance like they are at weddings and request Journey from the mediocre DJ or cover band. One good sign was the owner/manager was roaming around getting things done and was actively engaging his customers. 2 out of the 3 bartenders looked less than thrilled with pouring drinks. Not sure why there was still a hostess working at midnight and no one at the door checking IDs but whatever. Basically you’ll go here to get a burger or a sandwich, have some buds and hang out. If you’re local and that’s your thing then go for it. I just find it weird that it seems like they can’t get this place right after trying so many times. It will be interesting to see what they do to attract customers after football/baseball season because there doesn’t seem to be a lot else that would get you through the door.

Went here last Friday night. Total train wreck of an experience. First, beware the flooring if it’s wet outside — the cheap laminate floor made it slippery for me in tennis shoes. With wet shoes it’s noticeable. Second, it took 15min after being seated to get our drinks, another 15 to get appetizers(wow), and 20 after that to get our entrees — we were there nearly an hour by the time we got our burgers, way too long. We only saw the waiter those three times, total. Third, the chicken fingers for our app were split down the middle with a knife — as if someone was checking to make sure they were cooked. They were overcooked and tough. Fourth, the burgers: The french fries were soggy and overdone, the burger was well done(we ordered medium well), and the chicken strips on my burger were *raw*, red inside. I cut the chicken open to show the hostess how badly the food was cooked. We got an apology from the hostess, along with an offer for… a free dessert. After being unhappy with the food and the slow service, that was kind of insulting. She wound up taking off what we paid for the apps, but by the time she gave us the amended check, our waiter had already taken my card for the original check, causing another snafu. If it was only the slow waiter, I could deal. If it was only one messed up dish, I could deal. But this experience told me they don’t have their act together yet.
