Lets get to the niddy griddy here. The chicken is great and the sides are pretty healthy considering they are not very greasy for fried stuff like the fries and sweet potatoe. I only have had those and I have no complaint. However, I noticed some red on the meat and the owner has told me it could be due to dry frozen effect… Understood. and I have no issue with it, because like I said, it tastes good. I noticed the skin is not crispy, but then again, you shouldn’t be eating it anyways, if you wanna keep any type of health or good shape, this of coarse is a tad biased(healthy wise) I can see how you would/could complain if you don’t care about health. So for me, this place is pretty solid and I will continue to order… 4⁄5 with updates to come of coarse, as time goes by.

I’m not sure why some people gave such low-rated reviews. We tried the whole rotisserie chicken with rice and beans and everything was great! The beans were flavorful. The chicken was juicy and seasoned to perfection! The rice was just fine as well. The price is better than most other Peruvian chicken restaurants in the area. We will continue to visit Rikkos until we have a different experience.

This place is terrible. We order the whole chicken and the 2 sides of bean and yuca. The chicken was so salty and the skin was not even crispy. The yuca was hard and I didn’t dare to try the beans. We also got the whole fish and it was tasteless. I knew I had a bad feeling when I was the only person there.

We went there for dinner around 6pm on a Thursday night. Tried to order a quarter chicken meal, we were told the wait would be 25 minutes. I understand chicken takes time to cook but maybe you guys should have some chicken ready around dinner time? The atmosphere inside wasn’t pleasant enough to wait for 25 min, if you are a sit down restaurant then have wait staff. Nevertheless we left and did not eat there.

I’m dropping my review down for this place, after trying this a second time. The chicken is subpar. I found it somewhat undercooked, with not much flavor, and still using plasticware to eat it. I was not impressed with that. The sides I got were not much better. Got myself rice and beans. The rice was undercooked as well, and the beans were watery with not too much flavor on them. And there’s no real place to get a drink other than the minifridge that he has up front, and for that alone loses a star. Delivery charges are very expensive too($ 20 minimum), which I think is way too steep(I’d do it for $ 15). Maybe it was telling that I was the only person in the restaurant. I really, really want small businesses to do well, but unfortunately this place now came up short. Not even the overhead TV with interesting entertainment could want me to return here. The heartburn I had from the food later that night sealed it for me. I cannot recommend this place for Pollo a la Brasa, there are others in town that offer better bang for your buck.

Service is great… but they need to change the name of this restaurant. Just call it Rikkos Peruvian Food, the Rotisserie Chicken is not peruvian flavor. The chicken is really bland with lack of seasoning. I am really disappointed they have not made any changes to the chicken. It is really bad. Please make changes please, I am trying to help you guys out. Also your fries are very soggy, please change to steak fries. And make them a little crispy. If this does not change, do not promote the chicken because it is regular non-flavored non-peruvian chicken, please change this please. I want you guys to be successful. Other peruvian places have more businesses, and that is due to flavor of food. Keep giving great service which you have been doing!

Tried out this spot for a quick lunch. I ordered the quarter chicken with salad and I ordered a steak and cheese sandwich for my guest. I was disappointed that the skin of the chicken was too salty and was not crispy. Salad was your typical lettuce mix. My guest enjoyed the steak and cheese. I cannot recommend this spot for a great rotisserie chicken however.

Awkward, I literally watched one of the cooks drop some meat on the floor, he picked it up and we made eye contact… and yes, he still put it on the plate. I guess the 5 second rule is in effect there.

Look, this place just opened two weeks ago(the owner told me). There’s still ways to go in terms of the place. Not many things on the walls, food items waiting to be tested, not a whole lot but some tables, a large flatscreen TV(playing soccer). Not even an overhead menu(but I’m going to assume that’s in the works, because the little paper mache menus won’t work once he really starts getting cooking, no pun intended). The menu is your typical Peruvian fare, likely that which you could see at Guapo’s. No, he’s not Guapo’s, at least not yet. He’s got ways to go before he reaches their emblem of success, but I hope he does. The owner(never caught his name) was a friendly guy who checked on me a lot, which says a lot, because I know he’s really trying hard to churn out business and get the word out. He’s already on Facebook too, so I can see he is actually trying. Now, about the food. I got the ½ chicken with fries and beans, and two drinks, a root beer and a water. Total came out to $ 12.50. That’s very reasonable if you ask me. Food came out in 15 minutes too. Also reasonable. The chicken is very meaty and has some flavor. It is not over the top, but not bland(though some chicken connoisseurs might beg the differ). I did have to make use of my hands to eat it, which of course means lots of trees were killed in the making of this review, because I needed a lot of napkins to clean up. The fries were decent, not mushy and held up their own standard. The beans came in a watery Styrofoam bowl, and while they were hot, they didn’t have a lot of flavor and came up just short. I’m hoping they improve. The sides also come with Aji sauce(the spicy green sauce that’s common at these places), and yellow mayonnaise(another sauce which is also common at these places). The Aji was disappointing. It tasted out of a bottle, and seemed to lack the zing that I’ve had at other places. The yellow mayonnaise however was decent, so all in all the sauces break even. Some pointers for improvement. Invest in better cutlery, a soda fountain would be nice so that way customers can get have as much to drink as they want for one set price, a place to put trays, as well as recycling bins and more garbage cans/disposals. I know this place is new, so I’m giving it the benefit of the doubt by saying that this place is on the right track, but there’s definitely room for improvement if it wants to truly succeed.

I was looking forward to this place and what a disappointment. FIrst of all it is called Rikkos Chicken, but there chicken is absolutely terrible. It is terrible when comparing to other peruvian chicken spots like Pollo Rico, Superchicken, etc. Lacks peruvian seasoning and such. And there fries arent that great either. Please change to steakfries. There yellow sauce was good. I am a peruvian chicken guru. Also there lomo saltado is decent .but overpriced or if it is priced that way then they need to serve more. You can get better portion sizes at competing Peruvian spots in the area. I really hope they make some changes quickly, especially since this is a new place and close to where I live. I hope they make the changes because I want this place to prosper and be around for many years!!!

Great food! Been waiting for this place to open for a while now. Will also be offering delivery in a few weeks.
