This location is close to our office and we usually eat lunch here twice a week. The pulled pork sandwich meal is a special price M-F lunchtimes. The grilled chicken sandwich meal is a favorite — fresh lettuce & tomato… delicious! Staff is very nice, even when they are busy multi-tasking. Sides are good & behind-the-scenes side orders include sweet potato fries and fried green beans. Good iced tea(swt & unswt) is available along with lemonade and soda. Different from a full size Red, Hot & Blue restaurant, but fast service and tasty food. We are fans!

I love Red, Hot & Blue, but this location does not put out good food. The nachos were good, but the pulled pork was dried out and looked like it was leftover from a few days ago. I was astounded that they would serve it. The chicken tenders looked good, but were extremely bland. Never again. Poorly managed to put out that quality of food.

I was so disappointed!!! I go to the one in Leesburg and I love it. I brought a friend here from out of town since we were in the area and I was embarrassed! The food was not where near as good as the one in Leesburg. The place was also so much smaller and definitely not dine in friendly. I thought the food would at least taste the same but it doesn’t. I will not go back there again.

Best BBQ in Northern Virginia! Red, Hot and Blue caters all my large parties. Everyone loves the food. Service is excellent. The Corn Bread is great!

I’m no BBQ expert but I love all kind of good food. I came for the very first time to this place looking for a good pulled pork bbq sandwich and I was not disappointed. Loved the«Memphis style» with slaw and Mojo Mild BBQ sauce. And the«Grandma potato salad» was really good. I recommend this place and I’ll def. comeback!

Normally I love Red Hot and Blue but this place is really slipping! I just did not feel like pork so I ordered a cheeseburger plate with potatoes salad. The potatoes salad was very good. That was a good thing because even though I was asked if I wanted the burger med or well done… makes you think they are actually cooking you a fresh burger… no not at all. What I did get was a pre-cooked tasting, dry hard to swallow puck! … Note to self … don’t go there again!

Don’t bother coming here unless you want to deal with completely inept staff and poor service. I stood around for 5 minutes before even being acknowledged. There were two managers up front, one of which was dealing with a screw up. So of course only one register is working, and then, instead of helping me after they were done correcting their mistake with whoever else, they acknowledged and helped another man who had come in after me. I wasn’t sitting in a darn corner here, I was standing in front of a register, waiting my turn, to no avail. Wish I could rate the food but the lack of attention drove me away.

After having a very delicious Pulled Pork Platter at the restaurant in Fredericksburg I was extremely disappointed with the Manassas restaurant. Food was not half as good and the pictures of the sides on the website menu sure did look better than the actual food. No sweet potato when I asked for one and the Mac and cheese was right out of the Kraft Mac and cheese box.

I got the pulled pork sandwich with hush puppies and a drink. The pulled pork was unseasoned, somewhat dry and not very tender. The sweet tea was really good and the cashier was friendly. The prices are reasonable; however, I don’t plan to eat here again.

RH&B is certainly a good BBQ place, even for a chain. The food is always delicious, they offer hefty portions for catering, and the place is clean and well situated. I just don’t understand why the sides or extras are so expensive. For lunch it costs damn near $ 15 if you want to substitute or add something to your meal. That’s a little steep for a fast, chain like place if you are trying not to overspend on your lunch hour. For half of that, you can run to Chipotle and get an entrée, drink, chips, and salsa and still not spend as much. But, it is still very good and is a nice change of pace from the fast food, Italian, Mexican, and Chinese places peppered all over Manassas.

BBQ is good but roll us cheap and dry. Service was friendly and the price was good. $ 5 for Tuesday special– drink, side, and BBQ sandwich. I would come again but would like to try something different.

Um, not that great. Especially for all the good reviews. The meat had no smoke flavor at all, but it was very tender. We each had the pulled pork sandwich meal. Nothing to write home about I added two different kinds of sauce, the shaker with the BBQ rub, and coleslaw to the sandwich and it was still bland. The potato salad has good potential but needs some more flavor.

Pretty disgusting and more expensive than other RHB’s! How does that work?! There is nothing good I can about the RHB Express in Manassas except for the service, very nice servers there. I don’t know what the cook is doing in the back but he’s f-ing up the simplest dishes. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with potato salad. The pulled pork was the driest, blandest sandwich ever! The potato salad was room temp, as if it’s been sitting out for hours! Usually RHB potato sandwich is the bomb, but this was also bland and had no eggs! Their hot sauce has always been a complain of mine. It’s just heat and not taste. Oh, and this«express» place charges on average $.50 more for everything and offer less on the menu. Skip it, go to FFX City or elsewhere. They should just get rid of this express concept and offer full menu and normal hours. They close at 9!

Picked up a take out order tonight. Spent about $ 50. Ribs were burned black and extremely tough. Pork was full of bone fragments and cartilage. Chicken was dry and cold. Trifecta! Probably won’t be going back. I would advise against this place. Not the first time we’ve had a problem. My fault for giving it a second chance. Doesn’t deserve the 1 star Unilocal forced me to give it to post this.

Food is ordered and paid for at the counter, and a server later delivers it according to a plastic number on the table, making service here relatively quick. Pulled pork sandwich — the pork was not very smokey, very lean, and somewhat dry. The bread was the type of soft, squishy sandwich bun type, which worked but didn’t really enhance the sandwich. Coleslaw is very good, creamy but not overly so, balanced, crunchy. A variety of BBQ sauces are available, my favorite was the tangy vinegar. Somehow, the sandwich seemed better than the sum of its individual parts. I think the coleslaw is what really makes it, adding crunch and moisture back to the somewhat dry pork and plain bun. My favorite side here is the potato salad, made with skin-on red potatoes and having just the right level of mayo creaminess and celery/pickle crunch. It blows away any of the pre-made potato salads you’d buy at the grocery store, and really tastes homemade. Obviously BBQ means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. I think Red Hot & Blue does a worthy take on it, providing that home made taste in a quick service environment. I wouldn’t really seek it out, but since it is near my house, if I just want some honest food that doesn’t taste like fast food, it fills that role.

The pork could be a little less dry but i rememdy this with a flood of the sufferin’ sweet sauce. A bit pricey depending what you get. I generally get a pulled pork sandwich which is a fine price but in the past i have gotten a platter with ribs etc and that was rather pricey. However i was full when i left. So id say go ahead with this place, just make sure to wet your bread and pork with loads of sauce.

Good for what it is. Since we can cook ribs and catfish better than any restaurant we’ve ever been to, we don’t go to this place very often. But when we did go to check it out we were very impressed. The food is decent. The ribs are cooked perfectly as one would expect no less. The catfish I found extremely well. I love catfish, and this place serves the best fried catfish I’ve ever tried. It’s not as greasy as other places. It’s good for what it is, but this type of food is just too heavy for me to eat more than once every six months. The ambiance is rather laid back and unassuming. It’s not a sit-down restaurant. You order your food. Then you go get a table. When your food is ready someone brings it to you. The seating is about as comfortable as McDonalds. As a blues fan I appreciate the blues paraphernalia throughout the restaurant. Pictures of Muddy and Buddy as well as some old guitars handing on the wall. The music is great one can hear Albert Collins and Albert King and Freddie King. That reason alone is enough to get me in the door.

Had dinner here this evening — as Duane states in his review — this is an «Express» location — but I have to disagree with him about«and it shows.» In any case, it’s smaller inside than a full-service RH&B, but my meal was still very good. I had the Tennessee Triple: ribs with dry rub, pulled pork, and beef brisket, plus two sides — mashed potatoes and collard greens, two corn bread mini muffins, and a Diet Coke. I took my number, filled up my Diet Coke and grabbed a table. About 10 minutes later my food showed up. I usually get wet ribs — but I wanted to try the dry — the rub was okay, the meat was excellent! The pulled pork was also very good, but I thought the brisket was a little on the overdone/dried out side. Mashed potatoes and corn bread muffins were tasty — BUT I did not like their collard greens. They needed some pork fat or bacon, some garlic, some salt, some hot sauce — to give them some life. I added some salt and some of the vinegar BBQ sauce to try and make them more palatable — but no go. There were about 4 other tables of folks dining in while I was here — BUT there was a constant stream of folks coming to pick up BBQ to go — seems to be very popular!
