Hair By Ginger

My daughter first introduced me to Ginger several years ago when she worked at Hooters in Manassas (Ginger styled hair for many of the Hooters girls when her salon was near the restaurant). Ginger ALWAYS gets my blonde highlights just right! And she uses a glaze that does wonders for my hair (which is thin and normally tends to frizz). I admire Ginger for her talent and her ambition. She is her own boss, and I am delighted to see that she is working independently, unhindered in her new «hole in the wall» location (which I think is quite cozy, by the way!). It is true that her prices are low. In fact, I think she should charge more. But since she doesn’t, I try to make up some of the difference with a larger tip. I spent $ 90 more for the same service at a franchise «spa» where the people were polite but not kind and sweet like Ginger. So please, when you go, treat Ginger like the special person she is!

I’ve been going to Ginger for a few years now, and I’m thrilled that I found her. I was so used to going to expensive salons, but was just blown away by Ginger’s work — cut and color — and she is a third of the price! Granted, the ambiance isn’t the same as a high-​end spa, but this is partially why she is able to keep her prices so low. So if you’re just looking for a great high-​end cut and color for a great price and don’t need a cappuccino and big-​screen tvs while you’re getting it, go see Ginger!
