This place is horrible ! Worst kabob I’ve ever tried.

Ordered the boneless chicken breast platter. Plentiful portions of chicken and rice with marinated chickpeas on the side. Tender and delicious.

On par with every other kabob place I’ve been to. Definitely didn’t fall short on anything I’ve tried yet. Well except the baklava, that could’ve been better. Still 5 stars for me though.

This place is absolutely a hidden gem. I was actually debating on whether to post a review on this place in fear of it getting too popular! I can’t say a single bad thing about this place. I have been here a couple times and love the bread. I don’t know what they do to make is so delicious, but it enhances the gyro so much. They also have a couple sauces, one is the typical tzatziki sauce, while the other is cilantro and spicy. Both are to die for! The sides are really good, and I try something new every time. Everything is super fresh there and appears to be made on site. Try this place out!

Worst customer service ever!!! Went there w couple of times, they messed up my order and forgot to put everything that came w/the order. When I called they said to come back the next day and will give me what they forgot to put in my order. When I went in the guy called me a liar, said they didn’t make a mistake and took someone else’s order while I was waiting there for over an hour. When he saw I got really frustrated and wanted to leave that’s when he gave me a free order. Worst customer service ever! They need employees who can speak & understand English well!

Not bad but not great either. Staff made no attempt to be helpful or pleasant. The menu doesn’t explain each option very well, so it doesn’t make you want to adventure outside of what you already know is good. Its uncomfortably quiet in the shop, especially while you have to wait a while for your food. The food is pretty expensive but it doesn’t deliver on flavor or quality. I was pretty disappointed by this kabob joint. Mobey Dick’s is much better.

Good looks and tastes amazing. Stopped here by chance on the way to a meeting. It takes about 7 min for each dish but so worth it and much better than fast food. They are very generous with their portion sizes so come hungry.

Famous Kabob’s menu may contain an assortment of typical fare, but the food and customer service set this restaurant apart from other kabob houses. After placing a pick up order over the phone, the owner’s daughter called me back to let me know that there was a problem and that they were unable to fill a portion of my order. Instead, they offered a more than satisfactory solution: swap a shami kabob for either chicken or lamb. I was given a wait time of twenty minutes, and my food was ready upon arrival. A surprisingly cheap stop — a combo kabob, quabili palau, qurma(meat sauce), maust(yogurt), and a couple of naan came out to $ 35 — Famous Kabob did not fail to deliver food worth noting. The meat was tender, moist, and flavorful. And while I usually like to dip my kabobs in the maust, it was unnecessary. A couple of preparation and ingredients differ slightly from kabob houses visited in Alexandria, and while small, they make a notable impact. The maust was thick and filled with herbs and chunks of cucumber — unlike the standard serving of a bowl of plain tangy yogurt. The naan was dense and chewy, with a wheat like granulation — compared to white and crusty naan. The fried carrots on the quabili palau were shaved into thicker than usual strips and then fried into a state of sweet and flavorful tender bites that melt in your mouth. The sum of it is simply — go, enjoy. You will not regret it, and you will not feel robbed. It is rare to find a lamb kabob for under $ 10. The service was quick and friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the food was yummy. I wish I had thought to visit this place sooner as I’ve worked in Manassas for the past three and a half years. A return visit is most definitely in store.

Hands down best Kabob place in Manassas. Service is always excellent. We always get the chicken, lamb, or beef kabobs and they are always delicious. The portions are generous and are served with either rice pilaf or white rice, salad, and choice of side. Oh and I can’t forget the fresh baked Naan bread that comes with too. The chickpeas are my favorite side. The gyro is definitely big enough to share with another person and does not disappoint. Love the green and white sauce as well and again they are very generous with it. Overall, I love this kabob place. I come here at least once every two weeks. :)

Love this place! It always has the same few people working and they are extremely nice. The food is great, and they get it to you quickly. My favorite is the chicken kabob and naan with the white sauce. :) I recommend trying this spot.

Per the sign on the door they close at 10pm on Saturday night. Per Unilocal they close at 9:30pm and according to the employees they close their doors at 9 on Saturdays. Not sure about the food because employees are not even sure about the timings.

Easily the best of the kabob places in Manassas. I get the boneless chicken every time and it’s perfectly spiced and juicy. The sides are excellent and reasonably portioned. The venue is simple and clean every time I visit. The employees are always friendly. All around this is a great place to eat.

LOVE this place. I eat their gyro sandwiches a lot, although I’ve definitely had other entrees(especially when we first went there). Their green spicy sauce is the best. We buy them separately because we love the sauce so much. Their atmosphere is kind of bare except for a few pictures of Afghanistan, but since we usually do take out, it never bothers us that much. Whenever we’re in the mood for Afghan food, this is the place we go!

If you like Kabob, put this place on your list ! I had the Gyro, wow, most excellent ! They can customize too. I asked the dude to hold the onions, he said sure, how long should I hold them? Everyone’s a comedian right ! The Naan bread, wow, terrific, you gotta try it !

Food was great. Secret Sauces and breads are great. Bone in chicken full of flavor. Not a huge fan of the chick peas but my 17 month old loved them. Definitely a good spot when you want a kabob.

Delicious kabob! I’m a huge fan of Afghan kabob places, which are prevalent in Northern Virginia, but there aren’t many in the Manassas area. Thankfully Famous Kabob is the only one you need because it’s a top-notch kabob joint. Oddly, though, I’ve never seen more than one other table of people here. It’s a well-kept secret, but the word should get out! I haven’t tried any of Famous Kabob’s specialties yet, but I look forward to doing so. This review is based just on the kabobs. A few days ago I got the combo with chicken and shami kabob. The meat was spectacular: the perfect amount of crispiness on the outside of the chicken, while the inside was juicy and tender. The shami was particularly juicy as well, not dry like some versions I have had. The sauces are like crack, and the bread is a lot softer and tastier than the bread offered at other kabob joints.(The bread is also the size of a human head: I threw most of mine away because I was stuffed.) My only nitpick is that the salad was heavily dressed and mostly comprised of one big piece of iceberg lettuce. A small side salad of mostly iceberg seems typical for kabob joints, but this one was more haphazardly composed than most. I recommend asking for dressing on the side or requesting the salad be lightly dressed.

I was so happy to find a decent looking kabob place here in Manassas. But after my last visit I won’t be back. I feel bad for the owner too, because his only fault is hiring crappy people(possibly family). I came in to pickup my super combo and the young kid behind the counter greets me by saying, «oh, yeah, you look like the type of guy that orders the super combo.» I’m a big guy and I’ve got no problems saying that, but no way should I be hearing it from some punk cashier. I may have been the type of guy that ordered a super combo from Famous Kabob, but never again. Beware of hiring family.

Try the super dish! Chicken & lamb are always moist & tender. Love the white sauce /salad dressing. Make sure you get the green sauce too. The gyros are good, but super dish is our favorite. We also regularly get the subzi and an extra order of qurma. The qurma is amazing! We’ve tried mantu and aushak were not our favorites. Palau & charayee were good. But the super dish is… well…super!
