*+*+*Updated Review *+*+* We’ve tried this Cracker Barrel twice since this review was posted and each time has been much better. I’m glad we gave it more chances. Our servers have been better and the food was exactly how we ordered it. We’ll keep it in our breakfast rotation. Having been to a ridiculous amount of Cracker Barrel restaurants around the country, this one is absolutely nothing special. The food came out at all different times, and several of the pieces of the meal were cold or missing until we mentioned it. They did replace the cold items, but it’s still so annoying that it even happens in a place like this. The server was friendly, but disappeared and my coffee cup stood cold and/or empty for way too long. We were there on a week day, so they don’t even have an excuse that they were busy, because they weren’t. There are far too many breakfast options in the area for us to choose this Cracker Barrel again.

Service is great and the food is good. Its tempting to go to golden corral which is across the street though. What made us come here? Better service, better atmosphere, the store accompanying the restaurant, and rocking chairs outside.

Another very good dining experience at CB for breakfast this morning. Recommend the Turkey Sausage for breakfast. The biscuits are always good. Service was good and server was very nice.

My first time at a cracker barrel and I loved it! Hearty and delicious food, friendly ambience, and there’s a gift/general store. The food is hearty and heavy and will definitely fill you up. The portions are decently large, and prices are good. I ordered an eggs in a basket and biscuits n gravy for a total of around $ 11. The eggs in a basket came with a side of hashbrown casserole, which were cheesy and delicious. I’d highly recommend trying the hashbrown casserole over the other side option. And if it doesnt come with it, then I’d order it separately! The décor is friendly and community oriented. The place is welcoming and has a small general/gift shop in the front. There is a wide selection of things. I saw games/toys, food, kitchen ware, clothes, and holiday decorations. It was fun to go through and they were having a sale on holiday items. The service is alright. Not the fastest or greatest. But nothing that was problematic either. Overall wonderful and fun lunch/brunch experience and would definitely come back!

This is one of my favorite places for breakfast. I especially like the French toast combo. My family and I enjoy this place when we travel back east. My wife like browsing the store and the kids like seeing the toys and candy.

You can usually count on Cracker Barrel to have a certain level of quality. This is the first time I can say anything less than positive about the food at this chain. The eggs and bacon were undercooked, the yogurt had a hair of something equally disgusting in it, and the muffin was rock hard and cold. Again, usually I count on the food to be great so this is probably the exception. That said, the waitress was very sweet and provided great service.

I go here frequently. This is one of the best Cracker Barrel“s I have ever been to. The pancakes are AMAZING. Better than IHop and Dennys hands down. The service is quick even when it is crowded and the wait time is usually shorter then expected. On my most recent visit Mary was my Waitress and did an excellent job taking care of us. If its your first time there get the Grandma“s Pancake Breakfast. My girlfriend usually adds country ham which is her favorite and I usually get crispy bacon. They serve lunch and dinner also.

When you are in the mood for homestyle cooking, esp this time of year… Pancakes are so good. Love that they use the Dickinsons preserve jellys. They are a superior product to Smuckers. Also, bacon here is really good. Old timers breakfast is a great value, and you get a lot for your money. favorite menu item would be the roast beef dinner and the homemade vegetable soup with a grilled cheese is perfect on a cold day by the fire. They always have fresh iced tea. And you can’t beat their collard greens cooked with shredded ham, so yummy.

I had Cracker Barrel for the first time ever. It was around noon so my bf ordered pecan pancakes and I ordered a house salad which came with a side of clam chowder. The pancakes were delicious they give you syrup in these cute little bottles and they come with your choice of sides we got scrambled eggs and sausage. The salad looked simple and plain however tasted great! Next time I’m close to one I will definitely try it out again to test other things on the menu. Also prices are insanely cheap. You’re getting a real good amount of food considering what you’re paying for. Lots of variety on the menu from breakfast food to lunch and dinner items. 4 stars could’ve been 5 if the service wasn’t so slow.

My family stopped by this Cracker Barrel location for breakfast on our way to my son’s soccer game in West Virginia. Whenever we go on a road trip, we have to stop by at least one Cracker Barrel. I I enjoy Cracker Barrel breakfast. Every time I go to a Cracker Barrel, I tell myself to disregard the calories count and the fact that their breakfast is heavy on protein and carb. I ordered Uncle Hershel breakfast platter with chicken fingers instead of my usual pork chop. I think I was given about 5 pieces and it was quite too much for me. I’ll stick with pork chop next time. My husband had the Grandpa breakfast with the country fried steak and my son and his friend both had the French Toast with scrambled eggs and sausage. We all enjoyed our food and were very full at the end of the meal. Even with that, I still managed to put away an extra biscuit with apple butter. Service was good and the food arrived in a good amount of time.

We’ve been to Cracker Barrel before, usually when traveling and they’ve generally been great, especially for the price. However, the visit to the Manassas CB last week was less than impressive and we won’t go back to that one again. The country fried steak was small and unusually dry. The cooked broccoli was not uniformly heated, perhaps cooked in a microwave. The biscuits and corn muffins were all dry. The service was okay, but notably less inviting than any other CB we’ve visited in the past.

my sister and I stopped in for lunch this afternoon, and it was an absolute delight. Michael, our sweetheart of a server, took perfect care of us. the dining room was quite busy, yet our orders arrived in less than ten minutes. with four selections from a diverse list of homemade sides, the vegetable platter was an excellent option for us comfort food-loving vegetarians. at the conclusion of our meal, Michael kindly brought us raspberry iced tea refills in to-go cups, making our re-entry into an 88 degree afternoon feel far less daunting. as we ventured toward the checkout, a lovely woman named Sharon helped us in the gift shop. we chatted with her about babies as I happily purchased $ 60 worth of tiny cowboy outfits. while continuing to enjoy our cool drinks on the way home, we decided a thank you note was in order. so thank you, Cracker Barrel of Manassas, and God bless you.

More like 3.5 Pro: Unique experience with the shop inside; Service is awwwwwmazing!; Prices are crazy good!; (Idk if this is a pro or con) but that peg game drives me crazy; 2 words… biscuit and cornbread: P ; Con: Food quality is probably 3.5(doesnt feel super fresh); Although its classic country dinner, i wish it was super hot when it comes out; Portions are meh at best(i could probably kill 2 entrees); Overall: its good but much room for improvement; Average quality in food, above average in service, id go when i crave a country fried steak or meatloaf: P

Ok, we frequent cracker barrel in front royal and we’ve never had a bad experience there. This morning a friend and I decided to take our daughters to breakfast. Our server was a very nice soft spoken young man wearing a «rising star» logo on his uniform. He was very kind, but he kept botching our order. It started with the drinks, we ordered two kids Orange juices, one chocolate milk, two coffees, and an ice water. He repeated the order, then forgot the juices. Then I noticed he also forgot the water. My daughters wanted strawberries and cream French toast and the price of the item alone was one dollar less than a meal with an additional order of eggs and bacon. I opted for the meals because they’re a dollar more. My friend and I ordered samplers, mine with a substitution of sausage instead of ham, clarifying that I don’t like ham. My youngest ordered one pancake and bacon from the kids menu. Our food came and the server named some meal we didn’t order and received blank stares. The food disappeared. No biggie. Then the food came again. The French toast meals were missing the bacon. He said, «you ordered a side of eggs.» I didn’t. It’s illogical. After my friend and I received our meals, we asked for biscuits. They’re usually served with the meal. I had to ask again later and by the time they arrived our food was cold. Oh, and he botched my sampler and didn’t bring me bacon. Our total was around sixty dollars, and in my brain I’m thinking he didn’t ring our order in correctly, because at 8 bucks a meal for 4 people is 32 dollars, and I hope drinks aren’t 5 bucks a piece. I feel a little cheated by neglect.

Visiting my mom in Virginia this week. She invited us to breakfast here today. We were seated instantly. The décor here is country mixed with antique american memorabilia. Beautiful establishment. Unique. Food was delicious. I had biscuits, eggs, bacon, sausage & hash browns. The biscuits were the best ever, I added some of their home made apple butter. Some of us had pancakes which were also unique & tasty. The syrup comes in individual glass bottles that they warm up. Really tasted better like that. The waitress Patty was a gem. So nice and lovable. She made a good experience, great, she was so funny. On a side note they have a store with lots of nice decorations & knick knacks. We had a nice time. I Would recommend checking it out.

Gotta love the Cracker Barrel. Came here for dinner and we had a great time. Our server was very sweet and knowledgeable. There was some mix up with our side dishes in the kitchen but she did a great job reorganizing everything. She was incredibly professional. Our drinks were constantly refilled and she brought us plenty of corn bread and biscuits. I’m a big fan of the Cracker Barrel in Kentucky, but this location is good too. It’s one of the closer ones to home and gets the job done. Your Cracker Barrel cravings will be filled.

Came here for breakfast yesterday with some of our friends since they recommended it. This place was packed on a Sunday at 9:30am! The wait wasn’t too bad(about 15 min), but you can browse the store while you wait. The store is fairly decently sized so it can occupy a lot of your time. When your table is ready, they will call you on the intercom. The food is VERY well priced. I got the country fried steak meal and it was only about $ 8 and some change. Very reasonable. Also you get biscuits with your meal and we asked for some apple butter to be included. The biscuits are so moist and delicious. Now we understand why this place was packed! We will be coming back here again sometime for breakfast and maybe even lunch/dinner.
