I am giving 5 stars here even though I used Woody’s only once. Our experience was very positive and they would definitely be my first choice the next time we need service. We called them on Sunday and it was true that they have emergency surcharge if someone has to come out on a weekend or(relatively) immediately. Since our units were working and we just became concerned because one unit(we have dual zone cooling) was loud while running, it was not emergency and we did get a call back the next day. We scheduled for the technician to come over the following day. Steve(not Steve, the manager) showed up on time, was polite and professional. He checked both units and explained to me me what needed to be fixed. Just like what our neighbors had predicted, the capacitor needed to be replaced. He said the freon seemed low in the other unit and he would add some. Once I okayed this, he fixed them quickly and showed me how quietly they were running now. Their price may not be the lowest but competitive — I checked how much the parts and material usually cost, thanks to the internet. I didn’t ask him if there’s any warranty, it just didn’t occur to me at the moment. This was done about two months ago and I am glad to report both units are running fine. As I learned from Steve, Woody’s is a local family business and they intend to keep it that way. I was very pleased with his work and did appreciate that it was not some national chain. This is an American company whose employees speak good English, have excellent work ethnic, and care deeply about our community.

I have been a customer with Woody’s since the early 1990’s. I had originally used a very well known company to the PWC area… until I had the full-court-press sales spiel to purchase a warranty service. When I did not, the salesperson of this other company(NOT Woody’s), started berating me and I threw them out of my home(it was scary). Before he left, he threatened me with, «You’ll be sorry when your A/C unit goes and you have to pay full-price.» Funny thing that the next day my A/C unit DID go out(right after servicing). I suspected sabotage… I started looking for another company and came across Woody’s. They listened to my story and walked me through a quick check while I was on the phone and sure enough, something mysterious had happened to my unit outside. Woody’s has been my company since then. Every single service person has been wonderfully courteous, customer-service oriented, and incredibly lovely! I have referred them through the years and will continue to do so.

Zero stars. Find someone else to service your HVAC. They don’t guarantee their work. They lack customer service or any concern for customers. They charge an extra fee for«emergency service» or «sudden service» but you still have to wait at least 24 hours to have anyone come out to your house just to LOOK at your unit, much less service it. He came out the next day, took one look, and drove off. Really? They pick and choose their work. Instead of diagnosing your issue on the phone to see if its worth their time, while I’m waiting and expecting someone to come out tomorrow to service my HVAC, they show up the next day and turn me down for a ridiculous reason. Time wasted that I could have hired someone else to do the work. They do not guarantee their work on previously serviced units. They serviced my HVAC and three months later it failed again. Then he refused to do work on my unit because its«inaccessible». Really? You were able to access it last time you failed to fix it! I guess business is so good they can afford to turn down work… After I waited 24 hours for them to come out, after they refused work on my unit, after they denied any guarantee on their previous work, after he wasted an entire day of mine… I called for another repairman who came out in less than 4 hours later and fixed my HVAC and didn’t charge any«sudden service fee» or other ridiculousness.

I don’t give five stars very often but this company definitely has earned it. We’ve been using them for 3 or 4 years now and recently had a heat pump installed. The pricing was very competitive. Evan, our installer, and his two helpers were very professional and polite Becca in the front office was also very accommodating and worked with me on what could have been a difficult situation. It’s tough to find service companies you can trust and I feel comfortable recommending them to friends.
