Awesome cheap food. Definetly try it out. I am gonna come back here. They have good veggie/vegan options too

Delicious wraps made fresh to order. Friendly customer service, even during busy much rush which I’ve been told does not let up until 5pm. Prefer over Subway or the like any day. For any travels to Mammoth I will be back.

Good sandwhiches with a good selection. Not your usual subway, much better the meat is freshly cooked in front of you. I highly recommend the gyro pita, the meat was excellent!

I never really liked pita but I really loved this place! The food was delicious, fresh and left me super full. The guys working were really friendly and helpful. They let us sample some of the sauces and gave us tips on other places to try in the city. The place was also super clean. The only thing I didn’t like was that I wasn’t given a lot of chicken in my pita.

Really good! If you’re on your way to the main lodge, just stop by and get a pita to do!

It’s amazing little gem. Loved the idea of make-your-own-falafel. We tried different toppings and sauces and it was delicious. And to top it, it’s cheap. Highly recommend.

Ate with my kids, picky eaters sometimes. They loved it. We loved it. All they could talk about the rest of the trip.

Love this location! Awesome customer service and they have pesto! Other locations lack the toppings that mammoth always carries. Great spot to go after a day on the mountain. Lunch for two for under $ 20.

Great fast option for a healthy but satisfying meal. Centrally located, quick in and out meal. Try the falafel with pesto and hummus, loaded with veggies. Don’t forget the Sriracha sauce;)

Contrary to what some people have reviewed this Pita Pit ISNOT vegetarian or vegan friendly ATALL. They cook everything on the same grill which may not bother some but this was not mentioned while ordering when I said my boyfriend and I were vegan. We told the lady taking our order that we are vegan due to allergies and she stated that it wasn’t a problem at all. It was only at the end after we had paid that the guy working the veggie station told us everything was cooked on the same grill. When he saw we were taken back by his statement he mentioned, «They’re cooked on separate sides and with different utensils.» Not even 5 seconds after stating that I watched his cook slap a pile of beef and pork onto the grill and then proceed to push down onto the cooking falafel with the same spatula. For priding themselves on being a «health conscious» eatery this place really takes no consideration for cross contamination or dietary restrictions. Unless you want a taste of what everyone else is having I wouldn’t recommend this Pita Pit. I wish their cooking methods could have been disclosed ahead of time so I didn’t have to wait in their 30 minute line and face rude staff when asking to cancel my order.

I awoke to an empty Pita Pit wrapper on my nightstand. From what I vaguely remember, my gyro was pretty good. Not only is Pita Pit one of the only places open late night in The Village, it is very affordable considering everything else in town is expensive. Apparently, they also deliver around the Mammoth area which is excellent especially for those late night munchies.

I can’t even start to explain how hungry you get after a long day of snowboarding. Especially when you accompany the boarding with a decent amount of alcohol(to keep you warm of course). After 3 intense days on the mountain, on our way out of «winter heaven«we’ve decided not to get our usual hamburgers and go healthy. PitaPit was the right choice. When you eat those pita’s with the Falafel or suvlaki you feel that it’s fresh, healthy and most important, very tasty. Driving back to LA was easier and lighter.

Sometimes I’m just so satisfied with my Unilocal app. This is one of those cases. I know food spots in Mammoth aren’t the greatest. I was looking for a simple, tasty, cheap place to grab a bite to eat. Pita Pit is basically like Chipotle but with pita wraps instead. I ordered myself the Chicken Shawarma wrap and added everything from hummus to artichokes to feta cheese. It was a fat wrap. It was good. It was awesome. My boyfriend has himself the Prime Rib wrap and that was WAY better. He asked them to make it with whatever toppings they would typically used for this one. So they grilled some peppers and onions for him. They topped it off with some cheese that just melted into it. I wanted to steal it. I would recommend this one — I think it’s nice to have a hot sandwich when it’s so cold out!

The Pita Pit is a good place to come with the kids, Not a lot of on the go meal options in Mammoth and these are great to take to the lake or on a hike. Lots of choices that won’t break the bank.

Healthy fresh! This place makes a great lunch spot. Easily driveable from town, or accessible from the slopes via the Village Gondola(kinda cool to slip away from the hill for lunch!) It’s a unique twist on a sandwich shop in that most items are cooked on the grill, and served in a pita wrap. It’s like a cross between a burrito and a sandwich. I’ve never been let down by the items here, and they’re reasonably priced(average $ 7 – 8). Most of the time they won’t fill you up, but they won’t leave you walking away hungry, either. Make sure to get some veggies grilled with your meat… it’s the best! Try some different combinations too, everything is good. They also have a good assortment of sauces for your pita, experiment away!

Pretty cool little restaurant. There’s about four small tables inside. Pros: — Friendly workers — ability to choose the ingredients — tasty food — they offer delivery Cons: — limited parking — I chose to get hummus for my sauce and they barely put any. My sandwich was a bit dry.

I ate at Pita Pit once during my stay in Mammoth and was pretty happy. While I’m not sure about the main substance of the pitas like the meat and falafel, the toppings seemed fresh and there was a good variety. I liked all the choices offered by Pita Pit: for pitas they offered gyros(beef), chicken souvlaki, dagwood, philly steak, and more. Vegetarian choices included falafel, spicy black bean, and hummus. There was a myriad of toppings as well, including lettuce, spinach, aritchokes, olives, jalapenos, pepperoncinis, mushroom, cilantro, and a few more. There were also a lot of sauce choices but the ones that stand out are hummus, tzatziki, and habanero mango. Compared to similar price options, I definitely think Pita Pita is a better choice. For about $ 8, my fiancé and I shared(yes, it’s that big) a gyro and we were both full afterward. They stuff the pita(your choice of wheat or white) full of toppings and meat. The only small issue was that the meat wasn’t well distributed throughout, so some bites had no meat and all, and others, too much meat. The meat itself was okay but you can’t expect superior quality meat at a fast food joint. The drawback here is its apparent popularity and lack of staffing. This location is small, cramped(just a few tables inside and some outside), and super busy. We waited in a pretty long line that was almost to the door and it took about 20 minutes to get through the line and get food. But in Pita Pit’s defense, we chose to go there on a Saturday, midday, during Labor Day weekend, so it was probably more crowded than usual. I’m not sure if they were unprepared for the Labor Day crowds but they had three guys working(two prepping food and one taking orders/also prepping) and it was woefully inadequate. We passed by(and used the restroom) Sunday as well and it was almost as busy. Still, I get the idea that Pita Pita is fairly unique in Mammoth as a healthy,(relatively) quick, and cheap option, so I’m sure that I would go again at some point upon my return to the area.

Ugh, I dislike giving places less than 3 stars but my experience here yesterday was not good. It was extremely busy which the employees can’t help but I waited 30 minutes for a salad. Once I finally got to the front of the line for my food, they didn’t even have my order, it was like the ticket got lost. So then I had to wait a few more minutes. It was just not a good experience at all. They need more people working here, that’s the problem. Otherwise, the food was pretty good.
